The lamp stays level at any angle. It also has wear to the finish with corrosion on several spots. So study the pictures carefully. An antique Powell& Hanmer HOROSCOPE bicycle oil lamp from the late Victorian era. Everything is firm and works as intended and there are no dents. The two red side lenses and clear front bi-convex lens have no cracks or chips. As you can see the chimney roof is hinged in order to facilitate cleaning and one of the side windows slides up for lighting. The oil reservoir slides out for filling and is sound. There is some cracking on one side of the wick dome(see photo) But this does not affect function. Understandably there has been black paint loss over the years but personally I like the way it is and would't repaint. This little lamp measures just under 5 inches in height.

Clear perko Fresnel lens in great condition with no cracks. This lens is a full cylinder. This lantern is just over 6" tall and is 4.25" across the b ottom. I have made no attempts to polish or repair this lamp. This is the condition i found it in. This piece will make a great little project for someone who likes to tinker with things. Early. Copper& Brass Starboard Side Ships Lamp. This antique lamp was found at an estate sale in Henderson. NY on the eastern shore area of lake Ontario. The lamp is being offered as found for parts or refurbish or keep as is. The lamp stands 8.7/8" tall as is. The soot catcher or chimney cap is missing. The copper housing shows a lot of aged patina. There is a crack in the copper in the pierced trim that goes around the chimney(see image 9) The bottom door also has a split or crack(see image 5) The curved, green glass is in excellent condition for its age, just a few fine scratches and some dirt. Antique Neptune maritime Nautical lantern light with oil lamp
This auction is for a Antique Neptune maritime Nautical lantern light with oil lamp.This is missing the panel of glass that is where the latch side is. The total height is 15" tall. The base is 6" tall. The sliding oil lamp section is unmarked- it does original to the lantern. It has the Neptune tag on the front. This is fresh from an old New England barn and will need cleaning- I have not attempted to clean this up at all. The glass globe has a flake of the bottom edge. It looks to be the original but I am not 100% sure of that.One of the cage bars is slightly indented. I think this is copper(magnet does not adhrere to it) Thank you. I have up for sale a rare vintage original circa late 1800s to early 1900s Marine Division ARTISTIC BRASS& BRONZE WKS NY ship oil lamp lantern complete with original hanging bracket. The lamp is complete with the inside oil lamp with original chimney and reflector. The lamp stands approx 18-3/4" to the top handle and approx 16-1/2" to the top of the lamps upper section. It weighs approx 9 1/2 lbs and the bracket approx 3 lbs +. It is in Good as found original condition- normal general wear but no real issues. Some light surface rust that will clean off. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. Measuring 22" tall(not including handle) width of about 11" The piece is painted but as far as I can tell the most or possibly the entirety of the piece is made of copper. The lantern is a forward facing type with mounting rings on each side, an access door on the back an a top hatch that looks down into from the chimney above. Inside the back hatch, the burner assembly is on a track and is removable. It appears to be an oil/kerosene burner with a large reflector. The glass globe appears to be intact. There are three attached metal labels or tags on the front. I will try to decipher them for you, due to age and paint there are partially legible. This is a very nice antique early lighting oil lamp. The lantern has a satin paneled glass finish. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lantern with the glass chimney on it stands 21" tall. Without the chimney and including the metal burner it is 12" tall. It is 6" wide across the middle and is 6" wide across the bottom. The metal burner is in good working condition. Overall this is a very nice unique antique oil lantern and would make a great addition to any collection. It is marked"No. L688" and"Not Under Command" The lantern is mostly made of brass and copper. The glass in the middle is in good shape with no chips or cracks and has a red lens inside signifying that it would have hung on the port side. Antique Brass / Glass Marine Oil Lantern Case- Nice Nautical Decor
A nice old brass and glass oil lantern with a brass cage over glass design. This originally held a small brass oil lamp which I do not have. The lantern has all four sides. The side that opens does not have the original hinge. When at rest on a table the door stays shut just fine. The brass edge that held the hinge pin slips inside and. When you close the hasp, the door stays in place. You may want to put a hinge on it to get it to swing open like it is supposed to. Either way, perfectly serviceable as is. We use it outdoors with an outdoor candle and it has a nice nautical look. It has a wood and brass handle for carrying. Overall in good condition but could use a good polishing and a cleaning. The glass is all good but one small corner has some loss on the inside(see close up photo) Obviously there are some minor dings and bends in the ... morebrass. Here is a beautiful. Nicely patinaed, oil lamp, made by Weem's& Platt. This lantern is numbered, early make, and came off a 68' Coranado sailboat that has sailed over seas and back many times. It's in excellent shape and can be polished if need be, however I don't suggest it. It comes with a gimbal mount for leveling the lamp while boating. This is a copper lantern that measures 18" tall and 6 1/2" wide across. It has 6 glass sides with cut stars and vines? There is a glass oil lamp base, no wick or top that is fitted into the base of the lamp. the door opens at 2 two panes on a copper constructed hinge and latches closed. all solder joints in decent shape for its age, just one cracked pane of glass. This BEAUTIFUL. Antique, ALL- BRASS SHIP'S LANTERN was designed and built by Sherwood. Ltd. of Birmingham, England. Though it is very old, it is ALL here. All parts are in working order. There are NO dents anywhere, all the glass is in perfect condition, all hinges and snap closures are in good working order. The only very slight condition issue that I can find is that the wick mechanism is tight and hard to turn, but it does turn. All the solders are in perfect condition- no broken solders. This is just a GREAT example of a top-quality antique ship's light. The mounting bracket on the back is heavy and perfect. There is a little loss of black paint on the wooden handle which could easily be touched up. If you wish. The wooden handle is in great shape with no cracks. All of the rivets are copper.
