The green glass lamp is made my Corning. See pics. The company that made the piece appears to be PNY, but cannot find them online. STBD on bottom of the metal fixture of course stands for starboard. The lamp piece is 9.75" long. By 7.5" tall, by 9.25" wide. Appears the unit was screwed onto whatever plate on the ship it would have attached to. This is an Antique Nautical Brass Lantern with an electrical cord. It works! I don't know the age of this. But it is antique because of the cord and the plug. It measures 11 inches high with green glass over the bulb and it glows green. There is a brass flame at the top of it that I did not get in the picture. This is a very neat old piece. Vtg ANTIQUE 1890s 1900s MINING Early Electrical Industrial Safety Lantern Lamp Description& Condition Very early Antique Industrial Cast Iron Mining Early Electrical Safety Lantern Lamp. Appears to be a very early cast iron mining lamp and still has its original lightbulb intact and surrounding glass is not chipped or cracked. Lamp does show some moderate areas of oxidation and rust powder on the interior. Lamp seperates in halves and still screws on easily despite that it looks like a small area has chipped off but still tightens and secures easily with no restraint. Hook hanger still seems durable. There is no company maker and the only stampings include numbers in two areas on the lamp: 446 on the base and 643 above the light bulb and glass enclosure. I haven't found many comparable mining lamps to this one in research so it's ... morepossibly a transitional piece: It may be an early version of the electrical mining lamp as they were not widely put on the market until about 1902. Yet such electrical lamps were still patented in the 1890s. I have only lightly cleaned off some of the inside interior of this lamp and does have some aged dust and should be properly cleaned. This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. The manufacturer of this lamp. Den Haan Rotterdam, was founded in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1922. It began as a manufacturer of navigation and interior lighting for inland and seagoing vessels. This is an excellent condition Tweekleur bi-color nautical electric lantern. The lamp is in excellent condition but is missing the electrical cord that attaches to the lighting fixture on the underside of the lamp. Price of lamp has been lowered on the lamp to compensate.

You are bidding on a vintage hanging lamp made of brass. It is made in style of a Railroad lantern. The fixture is the old style ceramic light socket with a very large oversized bulb included(I do not guarantee bulb as it is very old. There is some cosmetic marks here and there and add much character to the piece.I did not try to clean as you may like it the way it sits. It appears the cord has been replaced with a more modern and safer cord. I do not know how old this item is do you?
