I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. It appears the glass is missing however the clip holder to hold the glass guard in is in the metal hood. The metal hood is hinged and has holes to let the heat escape. The light measures 11" long x 5" wide and weighs unpackaged 3-1/2 pounds.At the top of the light is a knob that can be turned to control the brightness i am guessing. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This light was purchased at an estate sale where most of my other auction listing came from.I was told by the folks selling that this was a ships lamp or light and would have been in a cabin onboard a ship. I cannot find any others to compare it to on ebay and there are no markings on the light other than on the socket inside the lamp and on the side as shown are the letters P&O. I am not sure if this was a gas type light or not. Although it has a socket where a bulb or something would have fit but on the side of the light it looks like a flint or sparker. The light will need the chrome trim cleaned.Sorry I am not much help here, please see the pictures and maybe someone out there can tell me more. The works are mounted on a nice piece of oak and there are exposed wires etc on the back. And the base measures 2 1/8" wide. Antique Brass Nautical Light Ship Lantern This is a heavy(7-1/2lb. antique brass ship lantern. It is in good condition with the exception of several dents and a bent section of the guard. Please see photos. The internal lamp part is missing but a big 22oz Yankee Candle fits inside perfectly! Candle not included. The fixture is ventilated on top and bottom. It was designed for a flame burning oil lamp originally. The patina is nice. The glass lens is in great shape. The silver colored reflector inside is also in excellent condition. This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. This offering is for an Antique Kilborn Sauer Fairfield. Conn(marked on the red glass lens) Red Lens Port Side Boat Running Lamp. This early Nautical Boat Light/Lamp/Lantern is in very good. Yet rough condition, the red heavy glass lens is in excellent condition(just a little dirty)no chips or cracks. See pictures to assess for yourself the condition of this rare maritime collectible. The Lens door secures tightly and their is no looseness to the lens or to any of the housing-very well made. I am including a small metal oil burner that is obviously not the original. HUGE Brass Nautical Spot Light / Daylight Signaling Lamp Nautical Salvage

You are bidding on the great nautical spot light shown above. This is a huge brass nautical spot light/ daylight signaling light. Weighing in at 80 pounds and standing 27 inches tall as shown in the photo to the left. The base mount is 10 inches wide and has 6 mount holes. The shutter work freely using the side handle. This light was made in Japan in 1974 and recovered in the fall of 2012 at the ship breakers of Alang Indian. The front window is plexiglass and shows a little wear but has no cracks or holes. The light tilts up and down and spins almost all the way around on the base mount. This light was found with a 1000 watt ... morebulb. The voltage stamped on the side of the light is unreadable. But most of the others we have ever found showed the voltage to be 110 volts. We have not re-wired this light, so it has the original wiring that has not been tested for safety or function. The bulb originally had some sort of adjustment that was controlled by the knob by the power cord. This knob is no longer turns, so the bulb is fixed in the same position unless you take the time to sort this out. The front shutter housing is held in place by four rods and wings nuts. One of the four rods is broke, but the housing is held in place just fine with the three remaining holders(see photos) We recommend re-wiring if you plan of lighting this monster up! This is a hard to find item and it displays very nice! If you do not want to ship this items. It can be picked up at our Pauline South Carolina Warehouse. For sale is a"PERKO" brand glass globe for some sort of nautical light or lamp. It is light purple/amethyst in color and is marked"PAT. PEND" in tiny letters on the side. It measures about 2 3/4" tall. The diameter of the bottom is about 1 7/8" and this is the outside measurement of the very bottom edge. The globe is in very nice shape with no damage and just slight wear. The glass is ever so slightly cloudy on the inside but perhaps this can be polished away? Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Boat or Dock Light* This is a vintage maritime nautical Fresnel Lens Lamp that was previously being used as a dock light in Austoria. Oregon on Oregon's North Coast. It appears to be brass or copper metal(do not know if solid or plate) It has a glass fresnel lens. It measures approximately 7 1/2" tall to top of hanger and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is wired to take a standard electric light bulb. The metal top and bottom attach to fresnel lens with thumb set screws. It is as found and well weathered from years of use although it is still functional. We have not cleaned the metal or glass and there are deposits from the elements on both the metal and glass. It could probably be cleaned up but wanted to leave it with ... moreits original weahered look. Other than the the weathering from the elements it is in good vintage condition and the glass fresnel lens does not have any cracks or chips. Some tarnish. Scuffs/etc and three brackets screwed into the base. A small ding or two that I wouldn't call dents, but you may. Approximately 10 inches across the bottom and 19 inches tall- 21 inches if you count the top handle- more if you count the bottom handle: I do not know if the oil burner works or ever was supposed to work. The base is 6" tall. The sliding oil lamp section is unmarked- it does original to the lantern. It has the Neptune tag on the front. This is fresh from an old New England barn and will need cleaning- I have not attempted to clean this up at all. The glass globe has a flake of the bottom edge. Unlike many of these lanterns this one still has the original Perko lamp inside as shown in pictures. The sliding hatch mechanism still works on this piece. It was used as a display piece in the house and they had a screw in the base of the signal to hold the sliding hatch open. This is the most complete piece of this kind that we have seen on eBay and a great addition to all maritime collectors. Antique 1800s Nautical Post Lantern Lighthouse Lamp Ship Mast Anchor Light Brass
Description: This is a large antique"birdcage" type oil lantern that was made between 1860 and 1890. It has a period Fresnel lens globe that is in good condition with a bit of chipping around the rim. But no cracks or structural damage. These brass lamps were re-produced by Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation but this one is an original 1800s light as shown by the beautifully decorated hanging ring at the top, careful handmade construction, etc. This one is also extra special in that it has the post fittings for use in a light house- it is missing the brass plate which would have marked it as such, but you can see where it used to be attached. These antique nautical lamps were used extensively for anchor lights, and after its life in a lighthouse it may have been used at the top of the mast during heavy fog or in the night to keep other ... moreships from running into the boat. It is missing the burner and bottom plate- it may have been wired for electric after the use of whale oil lamps declined, but please note that only what is in the pictures is included. This is a large nautical lantern measuring 14" tall and 6" wide. It is in"as found" condition with a dark patina on the brass, dirty glass, small dents, tiny cracks in the brass, and various other age/use related marks. Here is a HUGE DRESSEL Lantern marked MOHAWK LAMP NEW YORK STATE CANALS. This lantern is marked on top DRESSEL ARLINGTON NJ. USA. This old Beauty is 17 1/2 inches tall from bottom to top an 22 1/2 tall to the top of the hanging handle. It should be noted this IS AN OLD RELIC AND SOMEONE SHOULD NOT EXPECT PERFECTION. There is some staining the glass FRESNEL IS 8 INCHES ACROSS CLEAR GLASS AND 7 INCHES TALL AND IS MARKED CORNING. There is a crack in the FRESNEL photo 5 and some chips in the glass from years of use. NOTE THE GLASS IS INTACT AND NOT LOOSE. The turn screws are tight but work and the top comes off. The base is 10 inches across and 3 inches high. There is a spot inside where I believe some type of GAS or Oil would have gone? THERE IS NO interior light or guts.Not sure how it would have been original. I believe this would have been ... moreon top of some type of channel buoy or dock piling post to help sailors navigate waters in New York. This is a very LARGE and HEAVY nice VINTAGE PIECE OF NAVIGATIONAL WATERWAY HISTORY. From an estate sale is this very unique Antique Vtg Brass Wall Mounted Oil or Kerosene Lamp. It measures 15" tall and is about 5" at its widest. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. The wick does move up and down ... moresmoothly and you remove the top to access the oil reservoir. There are no dents in the brass or damage just normal wear as seen in photos. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. I've never seen one quite like this one and I hope I'm right that it is nautical because it certainly looks and feels like it is to me:o) Actual shipping is $24.90 to anywhere in the US or Canada.
