This light housing was meant to be mounted directly to the hull so there is no base-plate. The keyed hole to receive the light socket is found on the bottom of one side. No light socket included. This would have been one of a set. One red, one green for the starboard and one deck mounted light for the clear light. Base is 5 1/2" x 10 1/8".

Antique PERKO Brass Adjustable Marine Spot Light Boat Search Light Nautical
This is a really cool old Perko marine spotlight or searchlight. It is solid brass and I think the light holder is a cast red brass. I couldn't find anything on the light that a magnet would stick too. It seems to be structurally in good condition. The brass could use cleaning and polishing as there's a lot of patina to the brass. The thin strip around the top and bottom of the light have some small slits. Maybe for fitting the brass around the body of the light. The light is also adjustable to be able to aim the light. The half label on the back is a Perko label. Heavy and well made. It has a GE bulb and I was told it works. The wiring is frayed and you should definitely have it checked out or rewired if you're planning on using it as a light though. See the pictures for more detail. Antique Boat Ship Vintage Bow Light Brass Vessel Perko Blue Red Glass Nautical
Up for auction is a antique bow light. I am unsure what boat this was off of but it was definitely removed from a boat here on long island. It appears to have a brass body and blue/ red glass. It does come with a wooden mount. The only issue with this light is it is chipped in the blue portion of the glass. Other then that it appears to be in nice shape. It has been sitting on a shelf for years and could use a good cleaning. It is being sold in as is condition. Please see my other antique nautical items up for auction this week. Antique Brass Ship's Lantern - "Not Under Command" nautical maritime vessel boat
For your consideration. Antique brass ship's lantern- tag says"Not Under Command" From the research I did. This was used in conjunction with another one to signal to other ship captains that the ship was not moving and not under active command of anyone. This has a great patina! This has what appears to be the original light socket and looks to be in good condition- but I'm no expert. There was once another tag welded to the top of this lantern. But probably removed when the current tag was placed. The glass lense is not cracked and the red insert looks good as well. There are expected minor dings and other blemishes that come with age and use on the ocean. This lantern weighs in at almost 20 pounds before packing. So will cost a little more to ship. The estate was in the process of being cleaned out, and the call was received: would you be interested in some of my late father's tools and gear" Of course was my response, and a designated time was agreed upon. Amongst the"stuff" in the boat house, I found this early red paint finish on brass hand held boat spotlight. It was designed to operate from a ship's instrument panel, and the women selling the"stuff" remembered it coming off her dad's Chris-craft.Wish she still had the boat! It is 10 1/2" over all the the wall/boat mount area is a circle that is 6" across the center. It is very heavy at 6 pounds without packageing materials/box. It is in 3 pieces. The case that screws in over the light globe. The glass globe which also screws in and the back that the globe and case both screw into. The glass globe reads in raised glass"P C. The brasss cage or basket area has no breaks and it reads numbers that look like"24CGH" or something like that is raised brass. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. It's a antique Perko flashlight boat light. Measures 14" tall. Would clamp onto any boat or dingy. The only damage is in pic#5. It has some cracking in thread area. So if you put batteries in it, it pops open because threads won't give a firm fit. No corrosion, and takes batteries. Lights nicely, see pic#10. Looks brass and tin. More Nautical Items to Come- Note My User ID I am offering an original 1900’s hand-held brass“PERKO” Signal Lantern. These lanterns were used to communicate between ships and/or ship to shore. It was built in the early 1900’s by Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. And has their name, city, state, and the“PERKO” trademark stamped on the belt clip. Also, BOAT SIGNAL” in a very large font) is stamped just above hinged door. This lantern features two adjustable handles, belt clip, 3” round clear bullseye lens, and a rotating shutter. Included is the original brass oil font tank and burner, which has“PERKO U.S.A. signed on the wick adjusting knob. Overall, the lamp measures 8½” tall x 3½” wide x 5” deep and weighs two pounds. Originally this unit was zinc plated and painted black. The black paint is almost gone and the zinc plating ... moreis still visible in the non-ware areas. Please note that there is a dent in the hinged side of the door. With the paint and plating gone, most of the lead solder joints stand out. Considering its nice original condition the unit would be well worth repainting to the original black finish. This nautical artifact is a nice example of the superior U.S. craftsmanship during this era. It was a great pleasure to ply the waters of the English Channel with it. Many a day were spent on their little boat. They included their daughter. Annie, in their pursuits as well. In the late 1930’s. The winds of war started to blow when Germany’s fighting machines commenced rolling over defenseless areas of Europe. Fearing for his family’s safety. Has a beautiful Patina that I didn't bother to clean so that it can remain in its vintage condition. many people like the Patina look. If you're not a fan of it. It can be easily cleaned. THE RED AND BLUE GLASS ON THIS LIGHT ARE SOLID AND HAVE NO CRACKS, BUT DO HAVE CHIPS IN THE SAME SPOT ON EACH SIDE(SEE PICS) IM NOT SURE WHY, BUT DOES NOT EFFECT THE LIGHT SHADES WHAT SO EVER. ANTIQUE Vtg BRASS BOAT BOW RUNNING LIGHT LAMP LOT OF 2
This is a pair of Antique/Vintage brass boat running lights in fresh estate condition. Please see the photos for condition- there are no makers marks that I can see. The glass lenses are a combo of Red and Green glass. One crack can be seen in one of the glass lenses but no glass is missing so could be glued and still display well- some of the metal fin is missing but as it is at the back of the light it will still display well once it is cleaned. Measures: approx 4 1/2 inches in height and 3 1/2 inches width with fin. Questions welcome. Thanks for looking.

A heavy brass wall bracket mounted nautical lamp. It is now electrified. But presumably wasn't always so. Therefore there would have a bottom burner inset, that is no longer here. Overall still very nice. If you put on a new plug the lamp works. The lamp weighs 8 pounds. Stands 15" tall. Not counting the top bail handle. Not marked as to maker. Freight includes Fedex Ground and $3.00 handling.
