And the base measures 2 1/8" wide. There are 2 small dents in the top dome, which can be popped out should you decide to do so(I will leave that up to the successful bidder) The burner has a wick and the wick turner works most of the time(a couple of times when I tried it it did not work but that may be due to the wick being so old. In doing my research on this item I have determined that this is a rare light. This would be a fantastic centerpiece to any room and can easily become a functional light. Wonderful old marine lantern from an estate along the Ohio River. No dents or scratches and an excellent fresnel lens. The lamp seems to be original. It stands 9" tall and 7" in diameter. The body is copper and has a small brass makers tag on the bottom edge. Lamp weighs about 5# This is called a dock light and is missing a battery box which attaches to the bottom. I have lowered my asking price to reflect this. Would still make a great light or display piece.

There is a dent on the bottom edge. This has made it out of round& where the insert only lines up in one position. One of the locking wires has come disconnected but is still present& included. Clear perko Fresnel lens in great condition with no cracks. This lens is a full cylinder. This lantern is just over 6" tall and is 4.25" across the b ottom. I have made no attempts to polish or repair this lamp. This is the condition i found it in. This piece will make a great little project for someone who likes to tinker with things. Or just leave it the way it is, as it's still charming!

Up for auction is this old P ERKO ships lamp. It must be the largest lamp made by Perko. It stands an impressive 2 4" tall. With handle raised. M easures 11 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" deep. This could have been a cargo lamp. Steaming l ight. Anchor light, or a stern light. Not really sure. Somewhere on it's journey it was electrified and has a bulb inside and the burner is not present. It has a thick Fresnel lens that is turning purpl e with age and it has a crack in it that is stable. Doesn't detract much from the old lamp. Still displays beautifull y.With a r ich patina that adds to the salty character. This Perko lamp was made in Brooklyn. New York a long time ago and after being at sea for many years. This early style kerosene burner combination navigation light with Fresnel lenses made by the National Marine Lamp Co. of New York. This lamp was made prior to 1912 since after that date National Maritime were marked with a patent date of 1912 or used the trade name“Triplex” This is an early example since the company was founded in 1906. This lamp is most suitable for someone seeking this shielded design of which only a few have survived. It has a great deal of character and a wonderfully warm patina. THE MAKER: National Marine Lamp Co. According to Anthony Hobson's Lanterns that Lit our World, Book 2 was started in 1906 operating from Pear St. in New York City. ... moreIt brought the burner shop Bristol Brass in Forestville, CT in 1911. National Marine bought from Bristol Brass, so similarities in the products are to be expected. Up for sale is this vintage Perko. Perkins marine lantern. It is in the same condition as when I bought it, dirty, and that is the way it will be received. It looks as though it was dropped on the side and sort of pushed in the side of the bottom. Not sure about the fixture inside, don't know if that is original. The glass looks great, don't see any cracks or chips. It measure apx. 14" tall and 7" across the bottom. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Vtg Glass & chrome sail ship night light lamp nautical marine boat
Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Antique National Marine Lantern Oil Lamp. Lamp has Falto City Highway S Div on front and on bottom of lantern it is stamped with MFRD by National Marine Marine Lamp Co. New York. Lamp measures 8 1/4" in height. The bottom of lantern screws on but it is missing one of the tabs which can easily be fixed. If you wish to have this repaired before shipment, I can have that done by an excellent welder with over 42 years of experience. Large Anchor Brass Lantern Copper 19" lamp light ship nautical nautical marine
Some tarnish. Scuffs/etc and three brackets screwed into the base. A small ding or two that I wouldn't call dents, but you may. Approximately 10 inches across the bottom and 19 inches tall- 21 inches if you count the top handle- more if you count the bottom handle: I do not know if the oil burner works or ever was supposed to work. Offered for your bidding consideration is a vintage ships/boat lamp made by Kilborn Sauer. This lamp is located in Stockton. California. Which in tonage, is the 4th busiest port on the West Coast. In the early days of California Stockton was the hub. Many regarded Stockton as the in-land San Francisco. It was a rough place and full of vice. Many different forms of boats and ships, from sailing vessels to large paddlewheelers made their way to Stockton bringing people and goods. During WWII there were no less than two shipyards making destroyers, balloon barges and tugs for the U.S. Navy. Stockton was also home to the Stephen's Bros. Boat Builders from 1902 to 1987. This is a matched pair of antique marine lanterns made by National Marine Lamp Co. I think they were used to signal other ships but this is not my area of expertise. They are wedge shaped with one blue glass lens and the other is red. The glass is very thick and ribbed and in surprisingly wonderful condition. They each are also marked with"Lense Triplex Trade Mark Dec 20 1910" which I believe is referring to the glass lens only. The Red lamp is marked"MFRD by National Marine Lamp Co New York" and the Blue has an oval metal tag on the back that says"Geo. B. Carpenter& Co Chicago" I don't know why there are 2 different marks as the lanterns are otherwise identical aside from the glass color. I am assuming they were painted black by someone at some point but if so it has been a long while. PERCO Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Co Electrified Early to Mid 1900's Design!
This is a really interesting Nautical piece the company has been making them since the 1930's. They made this particular one in the 1960's. It's a large piece and is approximately( 12 pounds) it's 15 3/4" H by 9 3/4" D Marine Lamp that has been electrified. I tried to show it in the last photo, but, it was outdoors so it doesn't show up or glow the same way that it does indoors, but, it works. It has an opaque ribbed glass lens on the front with 10 ribbed sections and a center band thats convex shaped that is 2" W. The Perkins fixed metal label is on the front and it says PEKO#1 Marine Lamp Hardware Corporation. This piece has been repainted silver back in the day. The top looks like cast brass or bronze, I am no expert, so, I am stating what I see. The plug is a 3 prong. My research shows these were mounted ... moreoutside the Pilot House on Vessels back in the day, the electrified feature gives it more versatility for use in a home or nautical setting. This is a very old piece, shows wear& tear, the ribbed glass has some damage that looks like a pebbled effect on the right side, what caused this, I have no idea. This is a Vintage Lantern or Lamp. It is marked OAKFORD on the metal base. The glass is thick and red in color. It is marked 9S 3129 TYPE- O. It has a loop handle and wire cord(that has been cut from where it must have originally been attached to) It is heavy. I have seen something similar that were made for railroad trains and marine ships. Maybe this in another type used for either of those? I am not sure and you may know more than I about this item. It is older. Possibly from around the 1960's to 70's. It is in good condition, no rust but it has that used metal look and odor. The glass is solid, no cracks. VINTAGE OIL LANTERN FROM HONG KONG! Beautiful Transparent red glass globe and brass with"patina" and unusual logo. It says"Tung Woo" Hong Kong" with a flying horse in the center. I think it is a marine lantern? It measures approximately 7 1/2" wide& 11" tall. It has a wick and has been used(by myself) on occasion. It works great on your patio on the 4th of July. The electric cord needs to be replaced. No cracks or chips in the lens, no dents and cage is complete and intact. Bottom is open for light. There are a couple of paint drips on it, see photos. This gorgeous brass maritime hanging lamp is from the Blue Funnel Line’s“ULYSSES. a 1913 steamship’s Georgian stateroom suites, the highest standard of First Class accommodation of the day. This lamp was acquired about 45 years ago from the Maidoff Bros Antique Maritime offices in San Diego, CA. They are the foremost purveyors of marine antiquities in the world and have offices and salvage facilities all over the world.The lamp is a very rare double burner with white milk glass fluted shade and is in pristine mint condition. It has hung in my summer home in Michigan since its purchase in 1968. At the time of purchase Maidoff provided me with pictures of this lamp hanging in the Georgian Stateroom aboard the ULYSSES, but they have long since disappeared, so no authentication is provided. Pair Large Solid Brass Marine Nautical Signal Lights Boat Lanterns Lamp
These are a great pair of Marine Nautical Lights. They are solid brass with heavy ribbed glass shades. They have been rewired and are in working condition. One of the lights has its original red insert so it can be used as a signal light. The 1st picture shows the lights with the red insert in one and a green light bulb in the second one if you wanted to use these that way. Or you can take out the red insert and have both lights clear as in the 2nd picture. Or put in any color bulb you choose. The lights are very heavy. The one with the insert is about 15 lbs and the other 13.5 lbs. These lanterns have handles that you can use to hang them or just for carrying. One of the lanterns has a little more copper tone to it then the other one and has 3 little feet to attach to a deck. The tops can be removed or slid to the side with the screws on ... morethe top to replace the lightbulbs. The globes are marked with a makers name. One of the shades has 2 small internal fissures at the bottom of the globe but they don't go all the way through the glass. There are a few dings and small indentations here and there typical of their age. See pictures) Other than that. They are in good condition and could use some cleaning.
