An antique boat lantern in good condition. All original patina. It has a kerosene/oil? burner with adjustable wick. Red glass on one side and green glass on the other. I do not see a manufacturers name on it. I don't think that the top is the original top. But I could be mistaken. There is a small dent on the left side and some of the green glass is chipped as you can see in the last picture. It measures 10" high and 5" wide. This was used in conjunction with another one to signal to other ship captains that the ship was not moving and not under active command of anyone. This has a great patina! This has what appears to be the original light socket and looks to be in good condition- but I'm no expert. There was once another tag welded to the top of this lantern. But probably removed when the current tag was placed. The glass lense is not cracked and the red insert looks good as well. There are expected minor dings and other blemishes that come with age and use on the ocean. This lantern weighs in at almost 20 pounds before packing. So will cost a little more to ship. Here is an antique oil burner Boat Signal Lantern. I could not see a makers name on it. It measures 8 1/2" high. The glass lense has some scratches and is dirty and needs to be cleaned. It is not broken. The burner is there and the door has a spring lever that works good. Painted Black. I am not sure if that is the original paint. Has some rust also but not bad. Up for auction is an original antique Nautical semaphore ship/boat signal lantern that dates from the early 1900's. Made of galvanized metal and has the remains of the original black paint. Front thick glass lens is in excellent shape wiht no chips or cracks. The lantern is also in very nice shape with no cracks. No dents or repairs. The front door opens and closes as it should. The fuel pot is marked on the dial"P&A" Will work with fluid and wick. Measures approx. 9" tall. Very rare maritime lantern and is a must for any collector. Antique Boat Semaphore Signal Lantern Keystone Ware (Wow Wow Wow)
Antique Boat Semaphore Signal Lantern Keystone Ware Here is a great antique semaphore or signaling lantern for boat use. It is made of painted steel. Is about 8 1/2 inches tall, and it has a great magnifying Fresnel lens. Inside is a kerosene lantern with an adjustable wick. A spring loaded shutter can be hand actuated to cut off the light so that it can be effectively used as a signal device. It is marked“BOAT SIGNAL LANTERN” above the lens. I cannot locate a makers mark but it looks like a Keystone(Keystoneware) lantern. I've been told that Dietz made a lantern that was virtually identical in appearance to the Keystone version. Condition is excellent with very little paint loss. Although it is a little dusty. The lens is undamaged, as is the oil lamp. The gate spring is still strong and the shutter functions smoothly. Richards Estate Sale Perko Boat Signal This is an amazing piece from maritime history. This piece was made by Perko(Perkins) and has really withstood the test of time. Unlike many of these lanterns this one still has the original Perko lamp inside as shown in pictures. The sliding hatch mechanism still works on this piece. It was used as a display piece in the house and they had a screw in the base of the signal to hold the sliding hatch open. This is the most complete piece of this kind that we have seen on eBay and a great addition to all maritime collectors. Vintage Brass Ankerlicht Ship Boat Lantern Maritme Nautical 30" Lamp Rope Base
This auction is for a very nice vintage brass nautical/maritime table lamp. The lamp has a 3 way lamp switch for dimmer or brighter light. There is an interior lamp light that provides a light glow through the glass globe. The glass globe is marked with GGG. The lantern has a nice brass finish and a boat rope that is wrapped around the wooden base. The lamp is marked Ankerlicht. The lamp comes with a burlap style shade. The bottom base is lined in felt. This lamp is in very nice condition and would make an excellent addition to your beach house or nautical themed decor. It has been well taken care of and almost appears like new.
