I was told it is a model L427 13" tall Sorry I do not know the model# Cant find it anywhere Love to here some comments about it or the model# It is very used and rusted. Top a bit eaten away under the shade I was told: Your lantern is likely from the 1930's. Possibly the 20's but unlikely given the pump. My guess would be that both the globe and the vent are not original to the lantern but later year pieces that were used to keep the lantern running. Most notably because of the logo on the glass globe and the fact that the vent is painted. The model number is LQ327 most likely, possibly a 427, but doubtedly. It is antique. And all the imperfections that have occurred ... moreonly add to its charm and uniqueness. If you are expecting it to be new in the box. Never touched by life or human hands, it is not for you. It is 8.5" tall w/out handle and base is 4.5" across. I think it was kerosene. No wick. But the handle spins. Bottom looks to be copper. Wick size is.5" This was a barn find and is sold as is. RARE Vintage 13 Inch Copper Brass Nautical Ship Lamp Lantern R L Murray Scotland
Excellent condition Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern was made by the R. L. MURRAY& Co. LIMITED. Pollockshaws Rd, Glascow S. 1. Also marked LAMPADS NO. 260 on another plaque. 1 other plaque is marked NOT UNDER COMMAND and the plaque below it reads S.A.R- S.A.S. The main body measures 13 inches tall by 11 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It has been electrified several and light up with a soft amber glow as shown in picture. Cord has an on/off switch built into the line. Super conversation piece for that man cave. Has been lightly scratched around screw near top edge as shown. Heavy item that will weigh 29- 30 pounds packaged.

Zinc, Coppersmiths, Wholesale Ship Store Dealers, Bonded& Stores, etc. 55 to 62 Recent Quay, Aberdeen" and another metal tag that says"Stern" It has lots of"patina" Dents, scratches& rust. See pictures for details. It has been modified for electricity at some time. The wires have been cut- it is untested. The glass appears to be intact- just need cleaning. The lid does open and close with some effort. It has a latch that allows a lock to be used. All items will be accurately described to the best of my ability(new.
