T his Rare Vintage Bedford Whaler Flying Cloud Clipper Sailing Ship Table Lamp Light is in good working condition! It shows signs of wear from normal use. It has a lot of character and is a little bit dusty! The canvas sails are firm. The hull is wooden, and some of the rigging frayed or missing. It looks like a ship with a great story! I am selling a unique working vintage brass nautical passage light with red glass. It measures 15" from the top of the brass hook to the bottom brass hook and 4 1/2" wide. It has a 15 ft cord and slightly shorter chain. The chain links are separated near the top- see photo and wrapped around the cord near the bottom- could be reattached with pliers. This lamp would make a great addition for any nautical decor room or restaurant. This lamp measures 21" tall up to the top of the light bulb socket. It measures 7 and 1/2" across at the bottom. The top light socket is in perfect working condition. It turns on and off perfectly. There is a smaller light bulb in the center of the glass. An original solid brass oil lantern made by BULPITT& SONS BIRMINGHAM 1940 Embossed on the chimney of the lantern. F ully functional. Heavy gauge brass lantern complete with all its original parts. Used aboard a ship as a bulkhead. Cabin/wardroom lamp. Stands 16" high. 20" high with the handle upright, 8 1/2" wide x 6" deep. The unit has a three sided glass face. With a right side access door. The burner is made to come out to fill. It also has a key that the wick can be put up or down without opening the door. The chimney also opens up the top section for cleaning or service. During the days of televisions inside decorative cabinets that also served as an elegant piece of furnature. Sat on top of gramp's beloved American made Magnavox tube television long before the days of wall-mounted LCD's. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 11" long x 2 3/4" wide at widest point(base) Weighs almost 2 lbs. Lamp is in good working condition. Newer electrical wiring/cord. Uses a Christmas light bulb. Which unscrews from the back for replacement. Currently features a blue bulb. I have no idea how old the bulb might be or how much longer it will work before replacement. This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. This crack is not that noticeable and can only ... morebe seen when the light is on. It does not appear to go all the way through the glass because you can’t feel it with your fingernail on either the inside or outside. Please see the last picture depicting this flaw. This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. The lantern measures approximately 21"x11" With the handle up it is about 23.5" in height. It weighs a heavy 17lbs 12oz. We assume since this is from the sea and very old that it is made of brass. There are three large clip hinges that hold the lens rim in place. At the top of the light you can see the two small stationary hinges(one is broken) so that the lens and trim ring can be lifted up but remain attached. Even though one of these is broken. The light has an iron base with four big screws for mounting. There used to be a mercury glass reflector that fit the back of the light's interior. Only shards of it were left when I found this light. The gentlemen I purchased it from said his mother had aluminum foil inside for a reflector. She had it mounted on their boat dock and they used it to find their way home. The light has a long industrial electric cord on it and works great(see pics) Light has a great look! zipedit] Description• This is a fantastic vintage 1930-40's era Nautical Maritime ceiling light fixture. The thick pressed glass shade has a soft pink finish with clear glass sailboats and anchors. The clear glass rim has a rope design and the bottom has a fabulous starburst sunburst compass pattern. The ceiling canopy has been refinished and has a copper colored metal ships wheel cover attached to a clear pressed glass telescope. The fixture has also been refinished and uses 3 bead chains that hold and suspend the shade. It has been completely rewired with a new porcelain socket and wiring. The glass shade measure 10.25" wide and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips. Cracks or loss of finish. It hangs 9" from ceiling to bottom of the shade and can be adjusted slightly higher or lower with the chains. Vintage ship light in galvanized metal with green lens. The light is in overall good condition- it has more rust stains than rust. I wiped it down but it is dirty. Especially on the inside. The mirrors on the inside are intact, but dirty. See photo#7. This is a true barn find. Large 33" tall 15"wide and 8" deep Nautical ship barometer desk lamp. The ships wheel turns. The lantern on the right also lights up. Made in England this is an extremely rare find. Selling as found with all original dust. Did not put bulbs in and test but seems simple enough for buyer to add. Do not have the original shade but does have the fennel on top to mount one. The photos are the best description. Amazing Chase USA Ship's Lamp Red & Blue Maritime Vintage Nautical Light!
This is such a wonderful piece; almost hate to part with it. It is marked underneath. Chase! Measures 8.5" tall and 4.5" across its base. No cracks or chips to glass. There is all over ware to the brass, but in my opinion that adds character and tells a story. As you can see by the pics, it works in both places. The wooden base is 13" in length, 8" in width, 3" in depth, and is bordered with fisherman's rope. As you can see, this lamp is very well crafted for the nautical theme. The lamp stands to a height of 36.5" to the top of the harp where the shade rests. The lamp has a 3 way light switch installed. This beautiful rare lamp is definitely a conversational piece, and would make a great addition to any nautical decor. VINTAGE COPPER/BRASS AMBER GLASS NAUTICAL MARITIME SHIP OIL LANTERN
I believe this to be a vintage ship/nautical/maritime oil lantern in good condition. Made of copper, brass and a amber/yellowish tinted globe shaped glass w/ no cracks or chips. The lantern measures 11"H x 7.5"W and has a small removable oil lantern that enters the lantern through a small hole in the base of the lantern. I left the metal the way I found this piece and only cleaned up the glass globe. I do not see any reason why this lantern would not function properly.
