From an estate sale is this very unique Antique Vtg Brass Wall Mounted Oil or Kerosene Lamp. It measures 15" tall and is about 5" at its widest. The two glass window panes are intact and there is a panel that you open to access the wick of the lamp. The wick does move up and down ... moresmoothly and you remove the top to access the oil reservoir. There are no dents in the brass or damage just normal wear as seen in photos. You simply mount the round brass circle to the wall and slip the oil lantern into it. Racine, Wis.No 47. i goggled the number and didn't come up with any info on it.i think its a 6 volt lamp.it looks like its been around awhile and the aluminum has dulled.there are no cracks in it and it looks like each of the peices were mounted on something as the 2 peices have nubs on them and they don't fit together.overall it looks like with a good cleaning it can be put back into use.you may or maynot want to polish it.they measure about 4 1/8" tall. shipping will be $12.65 in a med flat rate box.Thanks.

The lantern appears to be made of mostly brass with the exception of the reflector piece. Glass and the heat distributor in the top. There is no makers mark on the piece that I can ascertain. I think it was a Steampunk or Perko. How's about you expert's out there. What are your thoughts? Your identity will be kept anonymous. Thanks. The makers mark was probably on the bottom of the burner that is no longer with the lantern. A couple of the solder joints for the cage across the glass are no longer in place. The glass in the lantern looks good. No blistering or cracks and appears wavy at the right angle. Check out the solid brass handle on this lantern. ... moreNo simple cheap wire handle on this one! The metal reflector plate is still in the lantern. Some corrosion to its' finish in places. Looks like the lantern was dropped at one time and the top bracket was bent in. Heavy Antique Bronze Marine Deck / Anchor Light / Lamp- Tugboat or Lighthouse
This heavy bronze lamp has sliding panels side and bottom which both slide properly. Top threads off to reveal fixture which was probably a fixed porcelain socket originally. This lamp is excellent throughout with no damage. Dents or repairs. Weighs almost 10 pounds. I've included a soda can for scale reference. Measures 13" to the top of the handle. Up for bidding is an antique primitive hand forged wrought iron whale oil 2 bowl Betty lamp. It is signed Lomba. Betty lamps were hung on ship's beams to provide light. It was made between 1922 and 1968. The lamp measures 7 inches long and 2 inches wide on the bowl. The twisted hanger measures 5 1/4 inches long. This unusual piece is in good condition with one of the bowl interiors showing some use. This will make a nice addition to your primitives or lamp collection.

Anchor Ships Lantern(Not a Reproduction) This is a very large antique ships lantern marked as"Anchor" To the best of my knowledge it has all parts needed to burn oil. Lamp measures a stately 23" to top of handle. 18" tall without handle and at its widest a 10" diameter. With the exception of a dent in the brass at the base the lantern is in excellent condition. Lantern inner chimney has a couple of chips and a crack at the bottom where it sits in base. This can be easily replace but I beleive that this one is original so I will not replace. This 8 inch tall lamp has a 3 1/2 inch tall RED glass bezile lense, There are only a couple of specs on the glass that appears to be in very good condition NO CRACKS. The base is 6 inches across and the light is very heavy duty. Not sure if it is military as it appears to be somewhat grey in coloring. There is a number 9-S 4473-L in raised lettering on top. There is a 64 inch heavy duty cord with some type of plug in socket end see photo 5. Not sure if from a ship, dock or pier. Not sure if it works or what type of power supply it used. Antique Copper Wrought Iron Nautical Garden Dolphin Lamp Brackets Arts + Crafts
Fabulous pair of pretty large cast iron brackets designed as lantern brackets. They could also be used to support a window box. They feature the detailed profile of a seahorse. The bases(the verticals that attach to a wall) are a narrow shield-like shape with a hint of fleur de lys on the bottom. Very fanciful. I think this piece is copper. As a magnet does not adhere and there is a little bit of shine coming through the painted finish. The seahorses are cast iron. The top hanging bar could be hand wrought iron. A magnet adheres to both of these pieces. The hanging bar is quite linear with an end that holds a lantern. I think it's hollow, permitting electrical wire to be threaded through. The shape of the top piece and the copper base suggest to me the arts and crafts movement. The wiring is very old, so I wouldn't be surprised if ... morethese are from the 20's or30's. But I am just guessing. When we acquired these we were told that they were from the first New York World's Fair. I have done some research and have not found any images that confirm this. They were from an estate in Queens NY of two men. One of whom was a set designer for the earliest Today Shows and Capt. Kangaroo. The partner was a model ship builder. They had a fantastic eclectic collection of decorative collectibles. If indeed these were from the World's Fair, I wouldn't be surprised if these men made sure they got some"trinkets" when buildings were taken down. Nice and sturdy. The seahorses and the top piece have superficial rust. They dirty the hands when handled. The silvery finish which could be original is uneven. They definitely need refinishing. If the buyer wants to use these as part of a lantern. They need to be wired. Please see another pair of these that I am selling on ebay that has remnants of the electrical pieces. Lantern measures 20" tall with handle extended up. The wick key is attached to side and wick turn knob works good. No broken glass on paynes and side door works good. This is a very nice antique early lighting oil lamp. The lantern has a satin paneled glass finish. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The lantern with the glass chimney on it stands 21" tall. Without the chimney and including the metal burner it is 12" tall. It is 6" wide across the middle and is 6" wide across the bottom. The metal burner is in good working condition. Overall this is a very nice unique antique oil lantern and would make a great addition to any collection. This brass hanging bulkhead ship's lantern is a rare example of the workmanship and quality of Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. Birmingham, England, one of the largest and finest nautical lighting manufacturers at the turn of the 20th century. Dating to around 1900, the lantern has a detachable kerosene burner and hand-blown font. Except for the wick, everything on the lantern is original. Measuring 17 inches tall. Excluding the ring handle. The lantern is marked with a plaque on the domed top. It reads, Wm. Harvie& Co. Ltd. 121 Bishop Street, Birmingham. It is substantial. Weighing over 5 pounds. The interior still has the oil and wick original lighting mechanism. The front plate holding the door is bolted on. RARE Antique Merrill Nautical Instruments Binnacle Lamp Maritime
This is a rare Merrill Nautical instruments of New York binnacle lamp in remarkable condition. I have been unable to find any other lamps made by Merrill. However Robert Merrill was a famous maritime compass maker from New York State in the late 19th century and I believe this may have been made by his company. It features an ornate chimney on top and also ventilation holes on the bottom. There are two handles on the back and a plate with the makers name. The lamp has the original glass and what looks to be the original burner. The hinge on the burner door needs repair, but does lock and hold closed. The lamp is beautiful with a nice age worn patina. Scarce Pair Antique National Marine Lamp Maritime Navy Anchor Red Globe Lanterns
Just out of a local house is this nice pair of Red globe maritime lanterns. Our lantern books show that they were called Globe Lanterns.Navy Lanterns, Signal Lanterns, or Anchor Lights. This pair was made by the National Marine Lamp Co. around 1900. The lamps are galvanized and measure about 15 5/8 inches tall to the top of the ring or about 14 inches to the top of the lantern with the ring folded down. It measures about 9 1/2 inches wide. They are both in good condition. One has a brass tag marked MF'RD by National Marine Lamp Co. New York. The globe has no cracks but has some paint on the surface and some light scratching. It is missing the catch for the bottom door and the font is missing. The other lantern is not marked with the makers plate. The globe has some paint on it and has some light scratching as well but no cracks. It does ... morehave its original font with the burner marked National Marine Lamp Co. It also has a 1/4 inch hole punched in the bottom plate. Both lanterns have had several coats of paint. See photos. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed as described. Here is a beautiful. Nicely patinaed, oil lamp, made by Weem's& Platt. This lantern is numbered, early make, and came off a 68' Coranado sailboat that has sailed over seas and back many times. It's in excellent shape and can be polished if need be, however I don't suggest it. It comes with a gimbal mount for leveling the lamp while boating.
