Antique Perko 1256 Hand Held Nautical/Maritime Lamp-Glass Globe
This old lamp has a metal protective screen around the original glass shade and a wooden handle below the lamp as opposed to a metal swinging handle above the lamp. The metal cage is a little bent. And the handle has a crack running full length on one side and a smaller crack near the bottom, as shown in our photos. The base is marked Perko with the number 1256. The glass globe has a“P” embossed near the base. Then numbers“9(S-3129-L” followed by“Type O. The handle has a threaded fitting on the bottom so it could be mounted on a corresponding fitting somewhere. But the threads are corroded. I believe this to be a vintage ship/nautical/maritime oil lantern in good condition. Made of copper, brass and a amber/yellowish tinted globe shaped glass w/ no cracks or chips. The lantern measures 11"H x 7.5"W and has a small removable oil lantern that enters the lantern through a small hole in the base of the lantern. I left the metal the way I found this piece and only cleaned up the glass globe. I do not see any reason why this lantern would not function properly. Circa 1940 ceiling light with nautical theme. The glass globe has raised decorations around the side- sailing ships. Anchors, and a lighthouse; the bottom of the globe has a 16-point compass rose. The figural brass canopy is a ship's wheel. This fixture is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks in the glass globe; the brass canopy shows some tarnish and wear consistent with age and use. This fixture is rewired with new phenolic sockets and wire leads. There is the original Harmony House decal on the inside of the canopy. This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 5 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. I cant find any maker on the light. It is 13" tall and around 25" around from the thickest section 9" Diameter. A great piece to have. Needs a good cleaning and polish. Please see pictures.

Facial damage consists of chipping on outer edge of ribbing, back-side edges and corners show usage chipping, mostly flea-bite size. manufacturing air bubbles The chipping is shallow(is not missing large chunks of glass) with only 2 spots being dime size and the remainder being various pea sizes and smaller. While it simply needs an experts touch. This item has been in storage near Mobile Bay, Alabama and previously belonged to my grandfather who worked at and retired from the shipyard in the early 1970's. The finds are sporadic at times, and not grouped or labelled. This lens sat alone wrapped in paper and reinforced with cloth electrical tape that had stiffened and lost its sticky. 20" Crouse-Hinds Nautical Pendant Original Glass Explosion Proof Cage Light
Up for sale is a vintage Crouse-Hinds industrial/nautical cage light pendant lamp. It measures 20 inches long. Body diameter is 5 1/2 inches. Cord was not measured but appears to be well over 10 feet long. Glass is clean and free of chips or cracks. It is marked Crouse-Hinds along rim of the cage and along the glass. Cord is heavily frayed and metal has acquired a heavy patina. Piece was lightly cleaned before being photographed. You may wish to have it professionally cleaned or polished. I am not sure if this lamp is in working condition. For safety, I would advise you to consult an electrician about rewiring this lamp to meet current industry standards. Here is a BEAUTY of an old VINTAGE/ANTIQUE PERKO ship/ boat running light. This is an ORIGINAL BRONZE or Brass not sure very heavy 6 pounds. This is a HUGE 10 inch long x 5 1/2 wide x 5 inch tall ORIGINAL PERKO. This has a clear glass and the GLASS is in MINT CONDITION Has a really nice PURPLE TINT TO THE GLASS FROM YEARS OUT ON THE WATER. There are no cracks or chips in the glass. The Bronze has a few chrome specs remaining in a couple of spots and a couple of faint very minor spots-scratches. There is a mark on the rim photo 6 and there are a couple of foundry pour marked when it was made photo 7. Has polished up very nice. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER OF A PIECE from a time gone by. Glass shade is hand painted in a deep red or maroon with a compass on the bottom and tall sailing ships on the side. I think the highlight of this light is the brass anchor finial. This light has been totally rewired with all new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage of 250 volts or less. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. From an estate sale is an Antique Vtg Brass Wall Oil or Kerosene Lantern. It measures 13" long and the beveled glass windows measure 4" x 3" All windows are free of cracks or damage. There is some surface rust on the inside but no corrosion to the metal to cause holes or damage so it could be cleaned if needed. The very top of the lantern has been soldered(see photos) but it doesn't affect the workings of the lantern. Up for auction is an original George Carpenter& Co Solid Brass Nautical Lantern With Glass Working. This is an original early 1900's Nautical Lantern. Originally this lamp was probably carried on the deck of a ship as it has a handle for carrying. It was also probably an oil lamp converted to electric at a later date. The lamp works perfectly well with the socket. Has a nice warm glow that radiates from behind the glass. It is approximately 10 inches tall and about 4" inches wide. The brass still has its original aged patina and has not been cleaned. It may have also at one time had a bottom piece that held oil. The glass itself has a few chips in it and a crack but most assuredly isn't going to break in the near future as it's extremely thick. Copper Based Nautical Oil Lamp Insert with Glass Hurricane For sale is a Copper Based Nautical Oil Lamp Insert with Glass Hurricane and Burner. This great find comes from those days of wooden ships and pirateers. Copper base lamp is 11" tall and 4.5 x 3.25 x 2.25" approximately and was used on ships becasue copper doesn't rust. This lamp probably had a holder of some sort on a wall or table that held it in place. Lamp has a small"D" ring holder for carrying. Lamps of this age most burned grease or inexpensive oils. The burner does have rust but can be cleaned. It does remove easily. Glass hurricane is in excellent condition. There is a little lime spot on the base but can be cleaned away. This is the original patina. I have not cleaned this except to remove a bit of dust. Please examine the photos carefully. Nice pair of old ship lanterns. They look to be brass. I did not clean them up prior to listing them so they are dusty and have cob webs. There are 5 glass panels. Glass is still in good shape. Hurricane style with some wick still left in both. They are rusty and have no markings on them. Compared to others online. These are in quite good shape. Antique/Vintage Brass/Copper Nautical Maritime Oil Lamp with Beveled Glass
This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

Here's a neat vintage item with red glass on one side and green on the other.no chips. I believe it is brass. see photos for a better condition insight. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. I believe, SGJ. I'm not sure who that is or what year it was made although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired? Thanks for viewing!
