They are assembled from stamped pieces of metal and generally held together with a pop rivet. In more modern times China has copied them and exported their own version to the U. S. The angels we are offering here are not to be confused with the above. These angels were hand made in Mexico by a registered Mexican silversmith. All three angels are marked on the back. The small one reads“TLAQUEPAQUE” which we believe to be the area) F.C.S. and“Mexico” to the side of which is a large“O” The medium sized angel is marked identically. The largest angel is marked the same with the exception of the“O” instead being marked with a“B” There is also the addition of the word“COBRE” which is Spanish for Copper. F.C.S. is a silversmith’s mark that may be found in“The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks” by Hougart(2001– Pub. TBR International) on page 84. We do not know the smith's full name but the author indicates that he was registered in Taxco, the famous Mexican silver center. These angels were produced in various sizes by F.C.S. and other examples may be seen on the internet in varying conditions. The three angels we are offering here are in good original condition. They are not perfect. Copper is soft and is subject to dings. Dents and corrosion. The medium sized angel has two tiny dimples to the bottom of her skirt. RARE Trio Vintage Ships Lantern Lamps Tung Woo Genuine Nautical Copper Brass
For sale is a trio of vintage lamps made using vintage copper and brass ship's lanterns made by Tung Woo of Hong Kong. The lamps have different colors of glass; green. Red, and clear(yellowish) The 3 ship lanterns are the same size, but one of them(with the clear glass) is primarily brass, is mounted on a taller wooden base, and is made into a lamp in a different style, making it taller than the other 2 lamps. The lanterns on the 2 small lamps appear to be primarily made of copper. The tops of the lanterns all open. The 2 smaller lanterns have silver-colored(chrome? reflectors installed behind the bulbs. The lamps all have 3-way switches, for lighting either 1) top bulb only, 2) lantern small bulb only, or 3) both bulbs. I will tell you what I see below. But I don't know anything about these things. It appears to be. From what I see on the Internet, an oil lamp or lantern for a ship. It appears complete to me, again based what I see on the Internet. I see the lantern, a metal reflector inside, a wick in a holder, with a knob that turns to raise the wick. Back of the lantern slides up and down to access the inside. At the back of the lantern. At the top, it says Made in England. On the front of the lantern. On top(the chimney? it has a decorative little plaque that says Masthead. Inside. On the handle that turns, believe it says Sherwood, but it's ... morehard to see. Also inside. On the brass colored piece that holds the wick, it says WEDGE. This was advertised as a"vintage marine oil lantern" The auction I just purchased this at. I do not know if it is old. A repro, original, in part or in whole, or if it is in working order. I can tell you that when I slipped my hand inside. There was some black dirt that resembled SOOT. At some point, I believe this was used. The fabric wick appears clean/unused. Assuming that was replaced. The globe is rounded and feels thin. I do see waves or imperfections. And what may be little bubbles. It almost feels plastic to me, but why would plastic be wavy or contain little bubbles? I just don't know. There is a dent to the right of the masthead label. And another small ding at the rear, left side, about 3 inches from the top of the sliding door. Exceptional Vintage Maritime Industrial Brass& Copper Lamp. 7 1/2" diameter shade. 6 1/2" diameter base. Roughly 21" high as shown in photos- flexible arm/stem allows the lamp to be raised or lowered. Slight denting/crease in shade edge as shown in photos. Heavy-stable base. Lamp came off a vintage yacht. Great vintage look.

Vintage Antique STERN Nautical Hong Kong Copper Brass Oil Navigation Lantern 9"
This lantern was probably acquired in Singapore where my father-in-law operated a salvage diving business in the 70's.he was US Navy Diver. Who spent a lot of time on boats-and then driving ships, once he retired. The wick is trimmed, slides securely down and there is a reflector that slides in behind it. The wick cap does not click securely to the oil reservoir, though. The thumb wheel turns the wick up and there is one to open the hatch to pull up and refill the reservoir. The top clicks down securely where the ring is positioned. I have some better pictures but am having some trouble uploading from that camera. Email me if you would like to see more.

Vintage LARGE 19" Copper & Brass Nautical Ship Lamp Lantern by Anchor Duel Light
Up for auction is a Vintage Large Copper& Brass Nautical Ship Lamp/Lantern marked Anchor. ESTATE FIND. Unit stands 19 inches from base to top of lantern. A total of 32 1/2 to the top of the lamp shade mount. 11 inches at the widest point. Looks to have been converted to a modern electric lamp. The unit is in very good condition. There is a small chip in the glass(see picture) The wires do not have any dry rot and the lamp works as it should there is light both at the top and inside the middle glass. 1950's Brass and Copper Cargo Ship Deck Light Wired For Home Use
This is a deck light reclaimed from a Cargo Ship circa 1940-1959. It is made from solid brass and copper. It is currently wired to use a standard home bulb. These look great as hanging lamps. You could also attach it to a stand and use it as a floor lamp. It would have to be a heavy stand. As this light weighs about 20 pounds. I recently saw a pair of these exact lamps listed for sale in an antique store for $2600. This style, with the rolled copper is pretty rare. You will see quite a few similar lights with a smooth copper reflector. But, this particular style is harder to come by.

Vintage Copper Oil Lamp Possibly Brass? Weighted Ship Lamp?
Here we have a cool old copper oil lamp. I believe it's copper. As the bottom is turning that beautiful reddish tint. The portions above that, however, look like they could be brass, as they are aging differently. The lamp is approximately 9 inches tall and 5 inches wide. The only identifying marks are on the neck in tiny writing which says"patd oct 31 1875" I'm sure it's that old but I couldn't find another like it. The lamp does not have any dents or scratches to speak of. It was probably a ship lamp. As the base is weighted. The whole lamp is heavy for its size; I would say 5 or 6 pounds or so. If you know what this lamp is or anything about it. Please let me know, as I love learning about old stuff like this.

NAUTICAL RED EMERGENCY SHIP LANTERN COPPER AND BRASS TABLE LAMP
Thank you for viewing this auction for is one. 1) brass and copper ship lamp converted to a table lamp. This is an old oil lamp that I believe served as a emergency light due to the red lens it has which shine 360 degrees. There are two thick heavy glass lenses on this light. The clear lens is the amplifying lens, and the inside lens is for giving the light the red color. This light is constructed of primarily copper and brass. There are also some iron components to this light, this includes the lens protectors and the two hanging brackets. The hanging brackets are used to not only hang the light vertically, but also to stabilize it from moving left to right, and front to back. There is no lamp inside of this lantern, it does no light up internally. This ship lantern appears to have been converted a long time ago; I believe at the very earliest ... moreit was made into a table lamp in the 1940’s. This is an older piece and I am unsure of the age. I am also unsure of a maker for this lamp for there are no maker marks I have been able to identify. Telling from its construction. There is a good chance this lantern is from a 19 th century ship. The condition of this lamp is old. There are multiple dents on this lantern. And appears to have been used heavily. This lamp no longer has its original oil burner, it was most likely discarded when it was converted to a table lamp. The mounting clips are still in place for accepting an oil burner. The red lens and clear reflector are intact with no cracks. The lamp is built to flex, so it does move and flex; the structure of the lamp is still sound. The lamp does work, and lights. I would suggest changing the cord if it is still desired to use as a table lamp; the cord is older, and the plug is not polarized. The copper and brass does have extensive corrosion and staining on it. Also there are a lot of dings and dents throughout. I have examined this unique pitcher and can not find a makers mark or any mark at all. I am convinced that this is a very old hand made item. The patina is untouched and the pitcher appears not to have been repaired. The person who I once purchased this from was heavily into Maritime objects. It has a wire cage all the way around that attaches to the main supports, it has NO chips in the glass. This item is in good condition but like all used items shows some signs of use from age and wear just like you would expect The Brass on one Candle/oil light Holder has worn completely away and it looks to be copper under it. I think the other one is brass coated over copper also. They appear to have some age as this kind of wear only happens over a long period of time. They have metal snap tabs inside which I believe to off held a Globe at some time. I am not positive that these held candles or oil lamp but I think that is the case. The extension bracket should of been longer for safety but they may of been used on a fixture.
