Marine Nautical 1851 Ouvrard & Villars Red Globe Anchor Lamp onion copper brass
Market fresh find; Original to the mid-1800's from the French Crimean war era. This is an Ouvrard& Villars Nautical Anchor lamp; Beautiful condition, it is constructed of hammered copper with a dual-ring brass cage. Original ruby flashed red globe. Marked O V Depose on the copper. May very well have come from one of the Ironclad Steam Battleships on the Black Sea, I purchased this lantern from the estate of a very meticulous and discriminating lamp collector. This piece has undergone a no-harm electrification. Which can easily be removed. The original oil burner is wired to the underside of the chimney. The original font is in place. The bottom of the font has been painted on the underside. I can't guarantee the font won't leak, but I suspect(but can't confirm) it was painted to stop any rust. Really lovely antique brass spot lamp with all original intact components. I think this was once the spotlight on a boat because it is all brass. But I can't be certain because i cannot find another one like it anywhere. There are no markings of any kind. Measurements: 10" tall overall glass lens is 4.25" in diameter base is 3" across Original Mazda lightbulb. Original reflector in fantastic condition, some of the original wiring is intact in the brass coil housing. If i knew anything about rewiring. I would refurbish this in a heartbeat and make a really cool and unique lamp.

Beautiful darkly tarnished 10" tall brass marine lantern with no stress cracks. See 360 degree images. Heavy glass globe is damage free and has 3/4" dimple cast in it as some sort of focusing device{see image with flame} Spring clips that retain the oil font have 1890 patent dates on them. Good working burner uniquely flips up for refilling. Bottom of font is dented and has a large solder repair on in but does not leak and rest correctly in lantern base. Beautiful display piece or rare design with a great patina. Quite heavy.

On the cage is stamped R& S CO/ 2406B and on the base is LOVELL ARLINGTON.N.J. It has the screw on glass dome and an orange colored light bulb.On the end of the cage it has one bar that is seperated as shown and looks a little out of shape like it's been dropped. In it's original condition. The base measures 3.5 in across and the cage measures 4 in. across. Total height is 8.5 in.

Hi. Up for sale is a vintage brass ship light that has been converted to a lamp. It looks great but has some wear and issues. It has some rust around the seams. There are a couple small chips in the glass. The glass globe is upside down. There is a screw missing off the back. There is no lamp shade. The lamp shade holder is loose. The dimensions(without the lamp extension) are about 16" to the top of the handle. It is about 10.5" deep and 10.5" wide.

Antique Maritime Boat Navigators Lantern! It is Marked Navigators Lantern but it is so covered in old paint you can only make out the L. See pics. Somewhat rare piece. Brass with Original glass and original candle, see pics. Stands about 8 1/2" tall not including handle/hanger. It's been painted black over what looks like it's original green. Most of these I've seen have a back piece with two metal"handles" So either this one came without them and with this hanger or the handles were removed and the hanger added later. However I don't see any removal holes anywhere on the back but I do see possible old weld marks covered up with old paint. There is a metal peg missing on the front that slides the inner door around to block the light. The door does slide. It has both the inner brass slide door and blackened metal ... moresheathe. Hard to show in pics. Paint is severely flaked. It is in it's original condition as is the candle see pics. Glass is not chipped nor cracked but dingy, needs cleaned and has a cool air bubble in it but you can only see it when it's opened and I didn't get a picture. Very solid hinges are tight and fine. One small dent near globe on it's right if facing it. Hard to see but I got the best pic I could of it. Clasp is strong and door shuts tightly. Nothing wiggles or moves around. You could actually use this right now. All in original condition. The only thing I'm not definite on is it's age. It could be back as far as the Civil War era or just late 1800's. It is believed to have been used as a Railroad signal lantern. conductor's lamp on a train here in the Southwest but I have no evidence to prove that. Large beautiful solid Brass ship lantern with perkins marine lamp co on plate. The lantern is in excellent condition with no cracks in the glass. I don't know much about this lamp as it was given to me as a gift many years ago. Would be an excellent piece to a collection.

Vintage Perkins Marine Lamp Corpn Brass Lamp
Perkins Marine Lamp Corpn brass marine lamp. Old and incomplete. There is no lens although one of the straps that would hold a lens is present. The top bit of the flue- the rather round shaped bit- is also missing. There are a few brass parts that might be part of a wall bracket are shown in one of the photos and are also included. The oil reservoir is present however the part that holds the wick is missing. The lamp is as shown in the photos and no other pieces exist. Please ask questions before you bid. Thanks for looking.

This listing is for a large solid brass ship's lantern marked"PERKINS MARINE LAMP& HDWE CORP. It measures approximately 14-3/4" tall(excluding handle) and has a base diameter of 7-1/8" The lantern has been painted black over the brass which shows through in several places(see photos) The lantern is an estate find and we do not know if the paint is original. The high quality of the paint job prompts us to wonder. The glass globe has no cracks in it and the original tank plug is present. The glass is marked Perko 31-L-17A. The oil burner is missing. The lantern takes an oil burner with a 1-3/16 ID thread. There are some minor dings and dents in the lantern as well as a small split in the cap where it joins with the glass globe(see photos) There are no repairs and the split does not affect the integrity of the cap. PAIR 2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP LAMP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERN PERKINS LAMP BROOKLYN NY
Pair of 2- Old Brass ship lanterns. Made by the PERKINS MARINE LAMP CORP. out of Brooklyn New York. Brass Has a beautiful natural aged patina. The original glass lens is starting to turn a very slight amethyst color. The lanterns inside were made by E. MILLER Co. And are marked. Look at the pictures closely. This is exactly the way I found them. I think they would polish up nicely. They measure about 17-1/2" tall(including the bail) and each weighs close to 9 pounds. In excellent condition. And would clean up nicely if you choose to do so. Both show expected wear. And have a few dings. Overall in Very Good Condition.

2 ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP MARINE NAUTICAL LANTERNS ELECTRIC LAMP BIRDCAGE PERKINS
I apologize for the length but I wanted to be thorough. Up for sale are two antique nautical oil lanterns that were converted for electrical use. After some Internet research I found a match for these lanterns. They are not stamped but identically match the Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation models made during 1916 to 1931. These were considered a"standing light" and were used aboard US Naval torpedo boats. Battle ships and destroyers of the WW1 era, according to"Lanterns That Lit Our World" book 2 page 120 by Anthony Hobson. Size is 17.5 inches tall and about 9 pounds each. These may or may not have been used in that capacity but they due seem genuine even thought they are not stamped with a company name. In any case as you can see one is red and the other is green. The coloring does not seem to be original according to ... morethe research but you can decide whether to keep it that way or remove the paint. Both lanterns have colored bulbs that will come with this auction. Condition The paint on the red lantern is about 50% missing. It was difficult to get a good picture that represented how the red lantern looks with the bulb on. But there is a picture taken from inside the glass to show the condition of the paint. The red lantern also has 3 vertical seams and do not appear to be cracks. I believe the glass was replaced when they were converted since the lines are straight and do not appear to be damage related. The red lantern also has two screws in the bottom, see pic, to hold the bulb/lantern housing in place. The green lantern has a dent in the top, see pic. The"hanging hooks" are a bit out of square as seen in the pictures. I have not found any cracks or holes in the brass housing that should not be there. Both lights have pull strings to turn lights on and off without unplugging. Both have old two prong style plugs. The oil lamp bases are original aside from the electrical retrofitting that took place. There is some soldering and repair work on bulb housing but it cant be seen unless yo

Vintage Brass Marine Swivel Kerosene Wick Lamp D.H.R. Holland Beautiful Boat
Here for auction is a wonderful vintage Marine boat lamp. I believe this to be run on kerosene. Has the mounting bracket that screws to the wall. Has a double swivel deal that will keep it straight while the boat is rocking. The wick does not appear to have been burned so I don't know if the wick is new or if this has just never been fired. It is all brass and has a great weight to it. Stands approx 5.5" tall and 4.75" side to side. The swivel arm has a great design to it as shown. There are scratches and tarnish to the metal and a ding that I can see on the side. This may have has a glass globe at some point but that is no longer here if it did. This Vintage Brass Gimbal Oil Cabin Lamp was manufactured by Sherwoods LTD. of Birmingham. England, in the early 1900′s. Sherwoods was one of the largest manufacturers of new lighting devices in England, producing oil lamps, lanterns, and burners. They went into business in 1902, but unfortunately went out of business in 1932. Cabin oil lamp with smoke Bell W/Bracket, Shade, wick, Gimbal mount and glass chimney. Pair of Vintage Antique Brass Perko Marine Ship Oil Lamp Lanterns Port Starboard
This listing is for a pair of Vintage Antique Perko Nautical Marine Ship Port and Starboard Oil Lamp Lanterns. Both lanterns are marked Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Perko Brooklyn. NY, USA. The lanterns are in good shape for their age and the lanterns themselves stand about 9 inches tall. They do have some dents and dings towards the tops of the lanterns but the glass has no cracks and is in good shape. They do have alot of oxidation, minor on the outside and major on the inside. I was not going to clean them because I did not want to discolor them but they will hopefully clean up very nicely if cleaned properly. In the last picture you can see one hinge is slightly bent so it is a little harder to close and open that side of the lantern but each opening on the lanterns do lock.
