The item in these photos is the item you will receive. Made in Brooklyn. New York by Perkins(Perko) Marine Lamp and Hardware. A red and blue bow light. Beautiful patina on this light. This could shine if you cleaned it up but I love leaving the maritime antiques with the patina on them. The picture with the light is a flashlight used to light up the glass. The glass is in excellent condition with only a very small chip on a tip of one of the edges. So the light does not come through. The photos show it all. If you have any questions feel free to ask. vintage nautical boat bow light red green torpedo bolt on port starboard U.S.A
This is a vintage bow light that is a bolt on unit and can be removed when not needed. It came in a box of fishing and hunting items. It's made in USA. I can't see a manufacturers name though. It has patent no. 2301714 on both sides. The internals look good. This wasn't stored with a battery in each side. So it's not all corroded or anything. The bulbs look clean and the parts look good, the inner housing have some light rust. The external parts show it's age. It could be cleaned up. But, I don't like to clean and shine old items, I would rather sell them as they come, as they look, and let the buyer decide. So, what it looks like is what it is. It's used, but a neat old nautical item. Thanks for looking.

Vintage Chrome Ship Boating Bow Stern Green Red Warning Light Marine Navigation
Up for auction is a vintage boating warning light recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. I am unable to test this to see if it is operational or not, but certainly could be made to work. This light has a tear drop shape and would be mounted in the bow to determine port or starboard sides. It is consistent with 1950-60's era boats. This light would be great for reuse or as a nautical decorative accessory. There is pitting and paint on the chrome surface, as seen in the photos. The lens appears to be plastic. It has a nice deco appearance. I cannot find any markings or numbers. This light measures approximately 3 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 3 14" in size. A nice maritime piece. Brass Bow Light for a Small Boat - Circa 1930
This is a nice brass bow light with red and blue fresnel lenses that I purchased at an estate sale in upstate New York last year. It measures approximately 9" in height excluding the ring at the top. 5" in width and 7 1/2" in depth including the brass flange in the front. A flap opens at the bottom to access the kerosene lighting device. There is no maker's name on this lamp but a little research would probably reveal who made it. In my opinion this item is in very good condition; however. There are two things you should know. First, there are numerous spots of verdigris on the right side of the flange and to the rear of the red lens. These are clearly visible in the photos. I'm sure these could be removed with a little brass polish. Second, one of the brass clips that holds the lighting device in place is missing. ... moreAgain, please check the photo. There are also a few very tiny stress fractures at the rear of the top portion of the lantern that are barely worth mentioning. While these brass bow lights are not particularly rare. The green lense is the one that is cracked. Screw missing on top mount. None of the metal on this item is cracked or broken. 9003 is stamped on the inside near the middle. Vintage PERKO Brass Bow Navigation Light Circa 1933
Very nice as found unrestored antique. From a fresh water location. Appears unmolested. I see no chips in the glass. The glass has a sealer of some type maybe caulking. The chrome has some pitting but would probably polish up pretty nicely. I have not tried to remove the bulb socket- it looks like it needs a good cleaning. You are buying AS IS. Here's a neat vintage item with red glass on one side and green on the other.several small chips. I believe it is brass. see photos for a better condition insight. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. S&J. This is STEELE& JOHNSON(boat,house) I'm not sure what year it was made(30's,40's? although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired? BRASS OIL FIRED "BUG EYE" WOODEN LAKES BOAT BOW LIGHT EARLY 1900,S UN-RESTORED
You are bidding on a seldom seen turn of the century"bug eye" oil fired wooden lakes boat bow light. Body is brass with crack free"bug eye" glass lenses. Has a small extra hole drilled shown in photo.S in lower corner. Probably to electrify at one point? Could easily be repaired if desired. Not that noticeable but should be mentioned! I feel it would be a shame to destroy the patina this has developed over the years by cleaning this item. Comes with original oil font. There are no markings on light that i can find. Has a flange on back door to aide in mounting. These lights were often removed after lakes voyage to be cleaned and refilled. I got this item in the early 60,s from my grandparents lake cottage in upstate N.Y. They had built the camp in the 1920,s for summer use. This is a very nice vintage bow light most likely from a Chris Craft. The glass has no cracks. There are a couple of very minor edge chips inside that can't be seen unless you are searching for them. Hardly worth mentioning) The glass I believe was clear but has a purple tint from age. The light fixture and bulb are inside but not wired or tested. The hole for the flag is 1 1/8" across. And is not slanted. The Chrome is presentable but would need replating if putting on a restored boat. There is a# inside which appears to be 5701. The light is chrome over brass. Vintage pre-owned polished bronze marine bow light with working 12v bulb and socket-I am unable to find any manufactures markings or logo( in the style of ABW. Perko etc. hard plastic lenses have some small scuffs etc. red and green( photos show the starboard to be blue)6" front to back, 3 1/4" at its widest point, and 3" in height. 1" deep 5/8" diameter flagpole holder in top-remnants of prior plating on outer surfaces-weighs 1 lb. 6 oz.fully functional usable condition-displays well-see all photos for more description- The items I offer( both vintage and new old stock and other oddities) are from my own collections or local( Illinois and Wisconsin) estate sales and other auctions etc. I am not an expert in any given field but I do try to be accurate. This is an old bow light we found at a local salvage yard. This one is in used worn condition. The lenses are plastic. It would be perfect for that authentic decoration! It measures a total of 6+3/4 inches long x 3+7/8inches wide and 4 inches tall. The back tip is broken off and missing. The top plug is missing and it needs rewiring to reuse it for a boat. It has some wear and pitting of the chrome and is metal of some sorts. It would be great for decoration or reuse. We accept Paypal. Buyer pays actual shipping! No handling fees! Beautiful large Bow/ Stern lantern- light. 11.5" long4 1/4" wide Height 3 3/4" Stamped inside it says AC 9000-1 Pat Pend also a watch dial with the numbers 12- 3- 6 and 9 highlighted! It weigh over 4 pounds and it is very solid. The chrome is in very good condition and I would not re chrome at this point. Some very light pitting! The lenses are plastic in excellent condition!
