It is rather large, and I believe it is made out of copper and brass, based on the way it has tarnished, but I am unsure. The burner itself, and the glass pieces appear to be in good shape, but the exterior needs to be refinished or polished. This would be an excellent project for a restoration, or just a very cool nautically themed piece to have around the house. I will be selling the second of these lanterns in a separate auction with similar details. The only difference between this one and the other is that this one has a piece of curved metal around the glass over the burner on the inside, and the glass cover is shorter. This is a very nice set of antique Tung Woo ship lanterns. They have some general wear(tarnish/scuffs/scratches) But look very good for their age. They have"Tung Woo Hong Kong" stamped into the front with a flying horse. They are 7" tall, and 5" wide. They both have wicks inside. One wick is black, and one is white(unused? Bought many years ago from an old gent who said his father had gotten it from a boat that was being dismanteled-not sure when-but he thought early 1900s. I believe that the metal is heavy copper with cast bronze fittings. Or otherwise possibly brass with heavy patina. The light source was provided from some type of gas. The burner is still intact(see photo. The handle for maneuvering the light has the original leather wrapping-still in good condition. There is a small dent-see pictures. One vintage ship lantern. It does not have its tank and wick for lighting. This lantern measures 19 1/2" tall. With the hanging arm extended up it is 23"and 9" in diameter. The prism glass is not cracked. The copper exterior has been coated at some point to prevent it from darkening I believe. This is a family estate item purchased as I remember in the early 1980's, in Europe. Very hard to find now.

This antique brass/copper oil lamp is in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina. Only 2 tiny dings at the very top of the chimney about 2mm wide. It measures 13.5"H by 7" W. I can not find a makers mark. But I don't want to polish it to find out. Many antique dealers prefer brass or copper items in there natural aged state. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and is beveled. Still has the original oil container with wick and the wick turner does rotate.

Very old Original Ships Lantern which has been converted to 120V so it can be used today. Made by the Elisha Webb& Son Co. USA. It measures 19 1/2" high(including the extended hanging bracket) by 7" diameter. The 3/8" thick prism measures 7" high. The lamp weighs 9 1/2 pounds. There are 6 brass lens protective bars. Antique Perkins Marine Lamp Great Nautical Lantern Red Globe Copper Rare! Look!
Offered with no reserve. A rare Perkins Marine Lamp. This is made by the Perkins Marine Lamp and Hardware Company of Brooklyn New York. Has a small brass ID tag just under the toggle switch. See picture#3. The lamp stands 15" tall and is 7" in diameter at the base. Copper construction. Features 2 tie down hooks at the base. Also has hook on the top cover. There are several metal"arms" that protect the globe. One of these is missing the top screw. See second to last picture. This is a dry cell battery operated lamp. It appears the necessary wires are in place. See pics#6.7,8, cannot guarantee the lamp will light and it was not tested) There is a on/off toggle switch just above the ID tag that has a screw on"cover nut" attached to a chain. See pics#3 and 4. Antique Anchor Copper Oil/ Electric Ship Style Lantern Lamp
You are looking at an Antique Copper Anchor Lantern/ Lamp. This lantern is 19 inches tall and comes with an electric light kit as well as oil burner. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. Lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. Antique Copper & Brass Lantern Horse & Buggy
16 inch long lantern originally made in the late 19th century for the horse and buggy trade. Two sides are thick beveled glass and one has a round red glass center. Someone decided to wire it and use it for their house. We bought it years ago with the intention of restoring it to its original condition. The housing and top is copper. The bottom, which should unscrew, probably held oil. It has been dropped a few times in its 150 year history. So, it is a project. You could hang it up and put a candle in it, rewire it, or do what we meant to do and restore it.

Antique ships lantern lamp copper brass large look
This is a Large(approx. 17 1/2ins tall and approx 12ins wide) heavy( approx. 15lbs) vintage ships lantern. Which has a thick glass Fresno. It is metal which looks like brass and copper( see pics) and has a wooden base. It is electrified and has a place for a small bulb inside. I tested it with a working bulb but it did not light I imagine that it is either the switch or the wiring so it will need fixing The lamp came from an Estate sale and whilst I was not able to get a history on it I was told by the agents that it had been in the family for a long time. As you can see it has not been polished and is a little dusty( as were all the items at the sale! The glass is very thick and appears to be old with imperfections and bubbles. I found one minute flea bit chip in one of the ridges, I tried to show it on the photos but it can more be felt ... morethat seen. It is being sold as- found. Antique WWII Marine Copper Brass Ship Light Stem Punk STILL WORKS! Very Cool Marine Light. Glass is etched C.B. Ltd 1943 and A.P.5619 on the other side. I believe this light was originally a navigation light because to the treaded connector where the plug wire comes out. I believe it used to have a pole attached. The glass is cracked directly down the middle but the glass is not shattered. Light could be plugged into wall or restored to direct wiring as a sconce or perfect for your stem punt light project. Threaded connector is 1/2 inch from inside wall to inside wall. Height: 4.5 inch. Width 3 3/8 inch.
