Indian grooved stone artifact, Tomahawk axe, Axe hatchet, War club
This artifact was recovered from a dry river bed in the Texas hill country not far from Uvalde. It's important to note that the area in which this artifact was recovered has been the focus of much research. Evidence has been uncovered in the area which suggests the presence of humans predating the Clovis discoveries. The artifact is six inches in length.

Antique Native American ("Plains"?) Fully Beaded War Club Outstanding Condition
Rare Old War Club/Skull Crusher. The football shaped hard stone business end is 2 3/4" by 2" I believe it is much older than the attached beaded shaft/handle& no doubt has seen other handles in it's existence. This is the only area where there is some bead loss(pictured) The handle is fully beaded& is solid& unbroken with all of it's beads present. It has a fringed tassel on the end made of hide that is beaded on one side. All of the bead work is well strung with what appears to be a thin double thread which can be seen exposed in close-up pics of head where there is bead loss. Handle is 13 1/2" long. Not counting the head or beaded tassel. Overall length is 19 1/2" long. I must admit at this point that although ... moreI'm a long time collector of mainly stone artifacts, an AACA member in good standing& stand behind my evaluation& fully guarantee your full satisfaction, this is my first Plains war club. It was her responsibility to protect her family and save her village from enemies. Her village was located on the western side of the island of Savai'i'i. During Nafuana's time. There was a war between the eastern and western sides of Savai'i'i as each side was competing for the land and title of the entire island. In the Samoan culture, land is very important because there are more people than inhabitable land. A family is more prestigious if they own a lot o

Sometimes the Nula ... moreNula can be used as a digging tool, to dig up bush tuckers that are underground such as the bush potato. These elegantly carved clubs. With notches carved into one side, reminded the Maori of a fish’s mouth, thus lending this club its name“wahaika. WOOD HANDLE STONE HEAD LEATHER WRAPPED TOMAHAWK OR WAR CLUB MUSUEM QUALITY
I'm not an expert but up for bid is what I believe to be PRE-CONTAC WOOD HANDLED STONE HEAD TOMAHAWK OR WAR CLUB. Again I'm not sure of its origin. I do not have much information on this very nice collectable stone head tomahawk, I got it a yard sell months ago. The wood has good patina and there is a great difference in color on the stone where the leather is wrapped that makes me believe that it is quite old and original. you the buyer must decide by the photos. 2 shows the color difference on the stone and the wood can be seen quite well the photos from 5 on. CIVIL WAR GENERAL GOBIN CALLING CARD + 1902 GAR ITEMS FROM THE CLOVER CLUB
WELCOME TO MY AUCTION. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BIDS! Hard to find calling card and dinner items from a Civil War General. Spanish American War General, and Commander in Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic! The calling card has the"Clover Club" logo and the motto"While We Live We Live in Clover" It is accompanied by a menu from the 1902 GAR dinner held there as well as a GAR poem printed for the occassion. General John Peter Shindel Gobin's military bio is as follows: President Lincoln's first call for three months' men. He left his law practice and entered the army, April 19, 1861, as first lieutenant of Company F. Eleventh Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. At the expiration of his term of enlistment he returned to his home. Recruited a company, and on September 2, 1861, was commissioned a captain of the same, ... morewhich was mustered in as Company C. Forty- seventh Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. Promotion was rapid for this intrepid young soldier, and he was successfully advanced to the ranks of major, lieutenant-colonel and colonel of the Forty-seventh Regiment, and was brevetted brigadier-general of volunteers for meritorious services on March 13, 1865, and complimented in general orders for gallantry at the battle of Pocotaligo, S. C. Besides the latter engagement he participated in those of St. John's Bluff, Sabine Cross Roads. Pleasant Hill and Cane River Crossing, serving in the departments of the South, the Gulf and the Shenandoah. Gen. Gobin was with Gen. Sheridan in his celebrated campaign. During a portion of the time commanding a brigade in the Nineteenth Corps, participating in the battles of Opequan and Fisher's Hill, and particularly distinguished himself at Cedar Creek, where his command was right of Sheridan's line. When a portion of the line gave way from the severe pressure of the enemy's front, which overlapped the Union force, Gen. Gobin held fast, and thus gave the enemy its first repulse, which proved the turning point in the tide of battle. For

A wahaika is a short club normally made of wood or whalebone. Its name can be translated to mean"the mouth of the fish" The club has a notch on one side which is used to catch an opponent's weapon. It is used for thrusting and striking in close quarter. Hand to hand fighting. The wood is Matai and There are Abalone Inlays for The warriors Eyes. The carvings are very intricate and detailed. A wonderful display piece. The matai tree. Also known as the black pine, is a conifer native to New Zealand. This tree is rare outside of its native country. While the tree is not considered endangered, massive logging of matai forests has reduced the numbers drastically and there are very few locations where matai is the dominant tree in the forest. The specific regional growth of this species contributes to the fact that few people are familiar ... morewith it outside of New Zealand.

AFRICAN MAASAI MASAI HANDMADE WAR CLUB RUNGU OLIVE WOOD KENYA #03
KENYA MAASAI- WAR CLUB- RUNGU- OLIVE WOOD A rungu(Swahili. Plural marungu) is a wooden throwing club or baton bearing special symbolism and significance in certain East African tribal cultures. It is especially associated with Maasai morans(male warriors) who have traditionally used it in warfare and for hunting. Rungus are typically about 18-20 inches in length with a long narrow shaft for a handle and heavy knob or ball at the end in the manner of other“ethnic” cudgels such as the Irish shillelagh or South African knobkierie. In Maasai culture. The rungu is an important emblem of warrior status for young males. A special one is held by the designated speaker at important tribal gatherings. Although utilitarian examples are made of simple hard wood, ceremonial rungus may be elaborately carved or made of other materials. This particular rungu ... morehas been lightly used and is 19.5" in length. The ball at the end is 3" wide. Antique East African Tribal Pick Axe! ~ War Club ~ SHARP Metal Blade and Spike!!
Vintage East African Tribal Weapon! You are bidding for an antique weapon from East Africa ~ Purchased at an estate sale from a gentleman who attended high school in East Africa. He is mid-fifties now ~ This piece is approximately forty years old. Hand made. Tribal artwork embelishes the weapon. Head to handle is 18 1/4" long ~ Front of sharp blade to the end of the pick is 13 1/2" inches long. Weight is 1 lb. This is obviously a war club. Please notice the angle of the blade in the last picture. This thing could do a lot of damage. I am sure that this weapon came from Africa as I spoke to the original owner and he had a vast collection of ethnic pieces. I have researched the artwork on the weapon. The X's with the linear dots looks similar to a Kuba Congo piece that I saw! If you have any questions. Please don't hesitate ... moreto email me. Bid Confidently! Posted with
