Awesome ACOMA Pueblo pottery. I just love Acoma pottery. They're among the best potters in the First Nation tribes. And this one is unique because ... moreof the design& age of the piece. It's a polychrome pot. The clay is a biege bisque color with hand burnished black& red designs. The bottom has a lovely black thunderbird on it- super cool! This is a well made vintage pot. 3 1/4 inches wide by nearly 2" tall. A fabulous example of pueblo pottery. I estimate its value to be in the $500 range. Because of it's age& condition, it's museum quality. AND IT'S A BEAUTY. In very good condition for it's age, no cracks or chips or anything to mar it's original beauty. This was purchased in the late 1960s in New Mexico. Very collectible bowl, you just can't find these good authentic old ones anymore. While this tribe still makes these precious little seed pots, many that I see these days are thinner, poured ceramic pieces, this one is an older one that was coiled& smoothed by hand the way the tribal elders did more than 100 years ago. So to an appreciative home please. Ships with tracking. Fully insured.

Rare 1829 Antique French Native American Indian War New England Bloody Massacre
Rare History Antique 1800's French Native American Indian War New England Puritan Colonists Rebellion Bloody Massacre NO RESERVE Attention antique book collectors and historians alike! I'm very proud to present: The History of Philip's War Commonly Called The Great Indian War of 1675 and 1676. Also. Of the French and Indian Wars at the Eastward in 1689, 1690, 1692, 1696, and 1704 by Thomas Church. Also, an appendix containing an account of the treatment of the natives by the early voyagers, the settlement of New England by the forefathers, the Pequot War, narratives of persons carries into captivity, anecdotes of the Indians, and the most important late Indian wars to the time of the Creek War with numerous notes by Samuel G Drake. King Philip's War refers to the armed and bloody conflict between the native American inhabitants ... moreand the English Colonists of New England at that time. The war was named after Metacomet. The primary leader of the Native American side. The English referred to him as"King Philip" Major Benjamin Church and his men along with their Native American allies eventually hunted down and killed Metacomet. It was one of the most expensive war undertakings during the puritan period. Many, many lives were lost and several towns were completely destroyed. Many others suffered tremendous damage. FYI Benjamin Church also was the captain of the very first Ranger Force in America. The French and Indian Wars refers to several wars that occurred over a period of 74 years on North American soil that were related to wars occurring in Europe around the same time. There was: King William's War. Queen Anne's War, King George's War, and the French and Indian War(also known as the Seven Years War) There's so much more to tell but you'll have to read the book to find out the rest. It's very exciting stuff folks! Now for the flaws: This book is in acceptable- fair condition. Remember. It is over 180 years old. The leather exterior is worn. The original owners'

ANTIQUE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN MAPS - MAP-MAKING - WESTERN CARTOGRAPHY
Another America. Native American Maps and the History of Our Land” By Mark Warhus. Published in New York by St. Martin’s Press in 1997. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: Another America is the first book to present rare and seldom-seen maps made by Native Americans. These maps. Which lay little known and little studied for the last three hundred years, open a window on the North American continent as it was understood and experienced by its original inhabitants. With meticulous research, this book brings to life the people, the places, and events of this Native American history. Each map is the focal point for a narrative on the traditions and experiences of the people involved with its creation. The historical and cultural context of the maps is used to illuminate the web of human, animal, natural, and spiritual relationships ... morethat shaped the Native American world. The maps record the efficiency of their oral traditions and the fullness with which the land was named, understood, and inhabited. They add a new depth of time to the North American landscape, and are a testament to human endurance and survival” DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 8”x9.5” 242 pages, black& white and color illustrations, dust jacket. Mojave pottery is virtually unknown today. Museums have mostly small, unrepresentative, and largely undocumented collections, and the works have received little attention from scholars and collectors. Jill Leslie Furst takes an ethnohistorical approach here, drawing on written literature about the tribe that ranges from seventeenth-century Spanish documents to ethnographic accounts from the 1970s. From estate storage where it has been for many years. First time to the marketplace. The weave is incredibly tight and thick. The colors and design are superb, it is one piece although each half is completely different. There are some issues the new owner may want to address; 2 corners are worn off as is a small area on the edge toward the center. There is a bit of fringe on the red side. I don't know who looped the loose stitches of the wool string through on one long side. Maybe the original owner was planning on hanging it or thought it could preserve the edge. Unfinished and remains as I found it. No stains and ... moreI think the unusual pattern is magnificent and the serious collector will see past the noted wear and be delighted. The photo measures 8 1/4" X 5 1/2" There is coloring on the head dresses, leggins, and on a few other areas. It is stamped Copyright Kiser Photo Co on the bottom right corner, I tried to photograph it, but it's a little hard to see. Antique, Authentic 46 Star American Flag,Oklahoma, Indian Territories 1907-1912
Beautiful example of an authentic 1907- 1912 46 star American Flag This is a large example and is approximately 6' high and 12' long. It was aquired about 40 years ago in Ohio. Sadly that is all I know about it. Very large flags were usually used on ships or government buildings I believe it is made of linen and all of the stars are sewn on both sides. Grommets appear to be brass Oklahoma became the 46th state to join the union with what was previously called the Indian Territories The flag is in generally good condition and is very clean. The edges are not torn and the colors are bright. It does have quite a few small holes caused by age and just general deterioration. I have included images of the types of holes you will find. If you found a flag of this age with no damage or deterioration. I would question it's authenticity. ... moreA real piece of American history that with backing and preservation could be around for many generations more

ANTIQUE AMERICAN INDIAN ART - Peabody Essex Museum Native American folk art
Uncommon Legacies: Native American Art from the Peabody Essex Museum" By John Grimes. Published by the American Federation of Arts& the University of Washington Press in 2002. DISCUSSION: In the glorious period of great sailing ships. New England mariners brought back treasures from far lands. The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA, grew out of the East India Marine Society's desire, in 1799, to protect such'curiosities' in a museum. Later additions, including modern Native American works, have since filled out the collection. This book commemorates the opening of a new permanent gallery for Native American art. Three excellent essays introduce the history of collecting in general, the growth of collections of Native Americana, and the evolution of the Peabody Essex. Another essay on modern Native American art points the ... moreway to the future. Following are 119 glowing plates of the individual objects, with extensive notes on each. Each geographic area represented is defined with a short essay. A good overview of Native American art. DESCRIPTION: Softcover. 9”x12” 272 pages, color and some black& white illustrations. There is some wear on the tips. Please see the photos for the condition. The Penobscot Indians of Main have long been known for producing fine works of art, which includes woodcarving. One of the most unique carvings(made only by the Wabanaki of the northeast woodlands) is the traditional ceremonial war club. The carved clubs are made most of the time with the root of the gray birch, but are also made with the root of the poplar tree and because of the various root systems are all one of a kind works of art. `cb.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp*a11%3E%60cb-13d3be0a1ae-0xfd-

RARE ANTIQUE OMBRE BEACON BLANKET AMERICAN LEGION SAR MILITARY CAMP INDIAN TRADE
Antique Ombre BEACON Blanket that honored the U.S. American Legion Veterans from WWI. From estate sale of military family. Great Grandfather who served in WWI recieved it in the late 20's or early 30's& passed it down to a son who served in WWII and then to his son who served in Vietnam. Has been stored in a cedar trunk. Colors are vibrant! The Ombre(color that blends into different shades) weave is unique to the Beacon Blanket Company. This one has a blend of Bright Orange to orange-yellow to peach to cream/white. This ombre Beacon signature ceased to exist after WWII started& the Beacon company gave up the equipment for the war effort(late 1930's)Beacon never produced the ombre weave again. The designs have the American Indian influence Beacon and Pendleton Blankets strived to create during the day.The stripes& stars ... moreare reminiscent of the strips on an officers uniform. The US logo in the middle reminds us of the Medal issued by the SAR(Sons of the American Revolution) to veterans.Colors and design is stunning. 62" x 77" The Beacon double weave technique shows the effect of changing the colors on one side verses the other. The binding is a double stitch sateen that does have a few areas of thread loss. A bit dulled from age, but is still complete over all edges. Original tag is in very good condition 2" x 3/4" rectangle w/copper-orange thread color. Blanket is free from holes. Stains, tears, or any thinning. Antique Native American Indian Pima Papago or Apache Coiled Bowl Basket C 1900
Well Made. Antique Native American Indian Pima, Papago, or Western Apache Basket This is a beautifully crafted Native American Indian Basket. Tightly and expertly woven. Circa 1900 Made by an experienced weaver of yucca. And devil’s claw. This small basket is round and measures 7 1/2" across at the top and is 3/14" across the base. It is 2 1/2" tall. This tray is used. Pre-owned, and shows some signs of wear and use. The wear is quite normal for a basket of this age. This old basket retains its tight weave. And is very sturdy and strong. There are no holes, gaps, bends or repairs. After a thorough examination I have identified 2 broken or missing stitches both on the inside. Over all. Given its age and intended use, this basket is in very good original condition. This is not a new basket– it is an old. Vintage Antique Old Navajo American Indian Blanket Rug 34.5 x 57
Here is a vintage Navajo blanket-rug. It measures 34 1/2" x 57" This was purchased at estate sale and I was told it was vintage Navajo. Im not an expert on these so look at pictures carefully. A few threads are begining to come loose on 2 short ends- shown in pictures. The outside rust color on back looks to be faded. I would guess this to be hand woven. There are no holes. Or stains. CONDITION OF DOUBLOON OR COIN MAKES A( BIG) DIFFERENCE AND ADDS TO ITS VALUE* For the collectors outside of the New Orleans area. Who are not familiar with the Mardi Gras doubloon-coin-token or medal as some collectors may call them, they were first made in 1960 by a die-maker by the name of H.Alvin Sharpe. Since then they have been sought after and collected all over the world, for their many themes, gods, sports, movie star and famous people, etc. The front of each doubloon has the Krewe( Club) name and the back has the theme for that year on it. Most of these doubloon-coins are( ... more1 1/2 inch or dollar size) and are made in different type medals, such as aluminum, bronze, antique bronze, oxidize, heavy multi colors, dual colors, and some in.999 silver. The aluminums come in different colors, silver aluminum, gold, green, purple, red, blue etc. Some of the aluminum doubloons are thrown from Mardi Gras floats during their annual parade during the Mardi Gras season in the New Orleans area. These doubloon-coins are becoming very scarce and hard to find, as they are in demand by collectors all over the world. Rare Antique Tintype Of Native American Indian In Corn Husk Costume Circa 1870's
This is a 4" X 2 1/4" tintype dating to circa 1870. The subject is a rare image of a Native American Indian in his corn husk costume. As you can see. His outfit is made entirely of corn husks, possibly for a ceremony or celebration. Yes, the condition is not good. It appears it was once folded in half and possibly hit with buckshot. Luckily none of the dents have pierced the tintype; and, as you can see, clear photos can be taken of this wonderful man. He has many stories to tell. I will be happy to answer any questions and. Of course, combine your shipping. If you collect tintypes, don't miss the circa 1900 young boy at the beach I also have on auction at this time.
