Here for sale is very unique primitive wood carving which was made by using primitive tools and shown an aged patina. This statue showed a dominant male ... morewith long hair and a stylish robe. He also wears three bracelets on each hand and a big ear ring each ear. He looks straight and the eye sight is a kind of intimidating which reveals his statue of authority. This fascinating statue may represent a tribal ancestor. Or a religious leader, or a chieftain of a primitive society. On the back of his hair, there is a red wax seal with some letters that I am not able read(see fig. 8) Judging from the long hair and cloth style. This statue is more Asian or Oceanic than African or American cultures. If you know which culture of this wood carving belongs to, please let me know. I purchased it at an auction of an estate of a serious primitive art collector. Now I am downsizing my collection and other collectors can enjoy this fabulous primitive art. Size: 19" tall X 5" wide X 3" Thank you for visiting my auction.

This is a beautiful handmade. Hand carved Papua New Guinea slit drum. It is only the drum and does not come with a drum stick. Due to it's age.
