RARE OLD DAYAK BLOWGUN SPEAR FROM BORNEO NO KERIS DAGGER MANDAU SWORD
Being offered is a nice old antique Borneo blowgun spear. It measures 76 1/2" in total length and the blade at top is 6" The shaft is a black hardwood with the entire center channeled out bottom to top. A dart could be positioned and then shot from the shaft. The blade is recessed at the top. In other words it isn't fitted to the center of the pole but rather to the back of the pole and then wrapped in rattan. The rattan wrap is very nicely done. Nice old sumpitan. The piece shows nice old patina. Probably dates to the turn of the century to early 20th century. This spear is the bottom spear pictured in the grouping of 3 spears.
