The art of the Mossi is generally reserved for the aristocratic, and though Islam has pervaded a large portion of Mossi culture, some of their original artistic styles still persist today. Of the two distinct social groups. The tengabisi are those who possess the masks. They are most renowned for their colorful plank masks. Which can often be several feet high and quite heavy. This is a small plank mask, most likely a reproduction due to its size, but tradition in style, and attractively pigmented. There is a superstructure on the lower portion of the mask featuring an antelope creature, not unlike that seen among the Bambara. The mask does not appear to have undergone any breaks or repairs. This is a vintage. Antique Premax Steel 48 in. rod in very nice condition. It is circa 1930's to 1940's. It has a tempered steel rod and diamond knurled walnut finished wood handle grips. The rod and the front part of the handle is in a burgundy color and the hand grip is a natural walnut color. Has a few scuffs. But minor stuff. It has a patent number 2206019 and a label or decal that says"Premax Made in Niagara Falls USA. Check it out in the photo's. I have seen a few of these but never in this condition. So I'm not really sure how this works, but I'm sure if your a fisherman, you will. It says on the box, you row your boat and Robotrol holds your pole. I can tell you that it is made mainly of wood, with steel brackets and hardware, which by the way, could use some polishing up. I do believe this was never used. It still has the original decal and the wooden wheels and spools look really neat. The box has seen better days, but its still there. I think this piece would display nicely for the vintage fishing collector. I ask that you please look over my pictures very closely. I am not an expert, nor do I claim to be. Signed Classic Fulper rolled rim bowl. Made in the USA between 1910 and 1929. Measures 5 inches in diameter and a little under 1 1/2 inches high. ROund base with very delicate. Elegant'neck' flaring out and then rolling around to form the upper rim. Shades of green(from soft and light to bright) to grey and brown. Outside with very gentle, subtle changes in tone. Inside more dramatic, with'dripped' dark design, mottled in the flat bottom. Inside has higher glaze than outside. Shapes lead the eye to the middle, almost biological form in colour pattern that resemble a mosaic. Underneath is a richer brown, more matte finish. Up for auction is a very old Mortar& Pestle. The bowl is large 6.75" X 4" and the Pestle is 6.75" and I believe it was used by a pharmacist in the early 1900 but I am not sure. Up for auction is this lot of vintage/antique mortars and one pestle along with a nutcracker/screw thing that is as of yet unidentified as to what it actually is. My wife and I have obtained these items at antique shops and through Ebay; the two mini mortars were supposedly from an estate sale. We are putting these up for auction because we have quite a collection of mortars. Pestles, and related older items, and we are moving soon so we are trying to sell some of it so that we don't have to pack all that much of it. Also, we have looked around for matching pestles for the 3 brass mortars and have been unsuccessful in even finding one loose small brass pestle. Perhaps someone that looks at this listing will have a pestle and will be looking for a mortar to put it in! If you have any questions, shoot me a message. The large wooden mortar and pestle is in overall good shape. It looks like the decorations on the side were probably hand carved. There are a few areas of scuffing. Minor chipping, and denting in the wood(mostly at the edge of the base) There are no markings indicating a maker or age. The mortar measures 4.75 inches tall and about 3.5 inches in diameter. The pestle is about 6.75 inches long and about 1.75 inches in diameter where it is thickest. The wooden nutcracker/screw/whatchamacallit is in okay shape. But then again we have no idea what it is, so who knows? We bought it at an antique shop where it was actually labeled'what is it? and we have asked around and done research and the best we can come up with is that it might be a nutcracker, but if it's a nutcracker, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense since

Vintage 9" Maelzel Paquet Metronome Mahogany Case. This lot features a quality wind up metronome in a Mahogany wood pyramid cabinet made in France by Paquet. It has the dates 1815-1846 on the Brass Plaque on the front. The sliding weight will change tempo beats from 40 bpm to 208 bpm. The mechanism works. And the tempo scale is clean, undamaged and legible. There is no damage or repairs, and the finish appears to be original. Its only flaw is that it is missing the bottom cover for the base. 9" tall x 4 1/4" wide. Quality item. Sells as is without reserve.

Offered here is a pair of antique eyeglasses they have spring adjustable bridge with a chain attached to the glasses with a hairpin attached to the chain. The bridge is marked 1/10 12K the chain and hairpin is not marked but the hair pin seems to be gold very soft. There is a small nott in the chain that I can not get out but I'm sure it can be unnotted. The original felt lined metal case is included.

Oscar Wilde An Attractive Pair of Early 20thC Boots Chemist Advertising Glass Bath Crystals Jars& Covers Period: Early Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c.1915-30 Base Diameter: 3.5 inches Height: 12 inches The art nouveau inspired lucid green glass near pair of jars of tapered and fluted form decorated in gilt relief with peacocks and flowering scrolls having the original screw top covers. And one with paper label, survive from the first quarter of the twentieth century. The condition of the jars are fairly sound considering they were not really made as permanent fittings. One has a bruised screw top lid showing down on one edge of the metal. The other one has minor scratching ... moreto the screw top cover, one has the original boots bath crystal label reading“bath crystals.violet, keep in a cool dark place, prepared by Boots” Generally the decoration of the peacocks on one of the jars is in good condition with only some decoration missing with the glass is in perfect condition, the other jar’s glass is in perfect condition with no paper label and having some of the decorative decoration missing to the peacocks and flowering scrolls, but no breaks or chips. There are remnants of the bath crystals to the interiors, which could be cleaned if so desired. Boots was established in 1849. By John Boot. After his father's death in 1860, Jesse Boot, aged 10, helped his mother run the family's herbal medicine shop in Nottingham, which became Boot and Co. Ltd in 1883, then Boots Pure Drug Company Ltd. in 1888. In 1920, Jesse Boot sold the company to the American United Drug Company. However, because of deteriorating economic circumstances in North America Boots was sold back into British hands in 1933. The grandson of the founder, John Boot, who inherited the title Baron Trent from his father, headed the company. We cannot find any other examples like these.

Antique Atwater Kent Model 49 Battery Radio, Restored
This is a fully restored Atwater Kent. Model 49, battery radio, made in 1927. This is a fully working radio with(6) good 01a tubes. The A/K model 49 is the last of the beautiful solid mahogany table top cabinets and the last of these great battery radios. The chasis in this had some rust, which I removed and treated chemically and clear coated it with clear lacquer. As you can see it is a good looking radio and all you need to operate it is a speaker of this era, which are readily available on ebay and a power supply, battery eliminator) Then hook up a good ground and a piece of wire for an antenna and sit back and enjoy a piece of history and what a great conversion piece it will be for your guests and friends.
