antique NAVAJO RUG Native American Textile Art circa 1920.
Beautiful Hand Crafted Navajo Rug. Taupe. Beige, Brown, Cranberry and Orange. Circa 1920s. 45 inches x 71 inches. Purchased from an antiques dealer at NYC Pier Show in late 90s. Since then it has been stored in a temperature controlled. Smoke-free, pest-free environment. Condition: The size is of course uneven due to the age and hand crafted nature of the item. The overall condition is very nice. The wool is not smelly and has been well preserved. The overall surface of the rug is lovely and we have never used it while we owned it. There are 3 small discoloration spots smaller than a dime. They are similar to the tone of the background and barely perceivable. There are extra strands that extend from three corners. I am not an expert so I don't know if this is fraying or the natural way of leaving some extra yarn at the corner. Experts ... moreplease feel free to email me with your opinion! The color gradation from the top to the bottom is not a stain or water damage. I was told that this was probably a slight color shift in the yarn that was used. The colors are vibrant, probably a bit more so than in these photos. It is a very beautiful work. Please feel free to ask any questions. I can send you a photo of the back if you wish. If you want a hi res photo to examine that can also be arranged. This item will be carefully packed and shipped via UPS ground. Or if you are in the area of Brooklyn you have the option of saving on shipping and picking up.

Antique Native American Lidded Basket with Beads
This auction is for an antique native basket. It measures 7 1/2" across and 3 1/4" tall. It is over 100 years old and has some condition problems. The lid is coming loose on 2/3 of its circumference. The handle is broken off. Colors are still good. Though fading a little on the outside. There is 6 glass tube beads attached on the lid. The beads seem to have been broken off from longer glass beads at the time this basket was crafted. 3 beads are white, 2 are green and one is blue. I do not know which tribe crafted this basket. Maybe an expert can email me with their finding. Please look at my other native items being auctioned. I accept PayPal only. I will combine shipping. Good luck bidding!

Antique Native American Made Gauntlets Beaded, Hand Sewn,Brain Tanned Gloves
Wonderful very old brain tanned. Hand sewn, lined& beaded Gauntlets. These show heavy wear with holes in thumbs and a couple in fingers and the left hand one is missing two rows of white beads in the cross on the back of the hand, the right one is missing a few green beads that were broken in use as there are no repairs. The leather is still very supple and the fringe is all intact. The cuffs are lined with a cotton blue with white stripes. The beading appears to me to symbolize a bow& arrow shot into a bird, maybe for a bird hunter. The size is small possibly a woman maybe even Annie Oakley's( I Wish) I know nothing about what tribe these might be attributed to. I purchased these years ago to display with my old west collection. ANY questions just email and I'll get right back to you Thank you for your interest

ANTIQUE SOLID BRONZE NATIVE AMERICAN SIOUX INDIAN CHIEF SITTING BULL BOOKENDS
Sitting Bull ∙ Solid Bronze ∙ c. 1920 ∙ Graham Bronze ∙ 7” O riginally. These were mass produced in limited quantities by Gorham Bronze. The first recorded date of such production of this design is 1914. Those were all clearly branded Gorham. And artist signed, J.L. Lambert. These. Are still rare, but were issued by another foundry, Graham Bronze, are circa 1920, and in some instances, regarded as rarer than all others. The artist remains the same. Both constitute a good piece of sculpture with a strong aesthetic appeal. There is no sensation in touching a painting. But the reality of actual volume in sculpture is particularly significant. Bidders can rest assured that these are rare and authentic by the strictest of standards and definitions. These are constructed of solid bronze( neither brass. Nor cast iron) Wear a natural patina, and ... morepossess of myriad of natural earthen tones when displayed, akin to fool’s gold. Depicted is the notable Native American. Sitting Bull(1831-1890) a Hunkpapa Sioux Indian and chief of the entire Sioux nation prior to becoming part of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. It is worth pointing out. That along the side of one, in the cheek crevice, there is a flaw, i.e. a hole, the size of a long rice grain. For some. This is like finding a misprinted coin, things like this happened during the manufacturing process. Each piece stands at 7” Tall. 5” Wide, 3” deep, and weigh slightly under 8 pounds for the pair. The front edges read Sitting Bull. And this inscription is rumored to be one that was written by Sitting Bull himself while in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. There is scholarly and credible evidence supporting this notion, and it makes sense. YOUR PRIVACY. TRUST, ANONYMITY, AND PATRONAGE IS OF IMPORTANCE TO ME. Kuritzky. Louis, and Costa Charles. De. Antique Great Basin Native American Trade Beads/Abalone Pendants/ Red/Blue
This auction is for another wonderful piece from a local estate. It is a re-strung necklace of beads that were traded to the Native Americans and features abalone pendants that were traded with Indians from the Pacific coast. The beads are Russian Blues. White Hearts and white glass beads. They were strung together with thread at some point in the past. They may or may not have been found together. I've inspected each of the beads and they are all antique and the abalone pendants have a hand drilled hole. Many of these have been found in the Great Basin, Eastern Sierra. There was a large trade network between Indians living in the Great Basin and those on the Pacific Coast. These are guaranteed old and authentic. If buyer is not fully satisfied, item may be returned for full payment refund.
