Antique NE Native American Sweetgrass Arm Sewing Basket
Click Here. Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery This is a lovely old sweetgrass sewing basket. The type referred to as"arm baskets" although it is not known exactly why. This one is 10 1/4" in diameter, splints inside are green. It is fully woven in grass, both single and braided strands. These baskets were made in Maine and the shape, flat like this, made it easier for the ladies to pack them up in their suitcases and take them home. It is in very good condition, very little fraying or damage. many baskets of this type are missing handles- this one never had one. Please check the photos carefully and ask questions before bidding. I'm downsizing and everything must find a new home. Check our auctions frequently to see what else I'm parting with from my collections.

Amazing Antique Native American Turquoise and silver Eagle necklace
This is a really old beautifully made piece of Native American jewellery. It is a turquoise carved eagle with a mother of pearl beak and hand carved turquoise wings which are inset into sterling silver and hinged to the body via a silver mount round the back of the eagle. This gives the effect of the eagle flying when wearing the item and bending forwards. It also has tiny little silver talons. This is an amazing item. And something from my precious collection of Native American Jewellery which I am loathe to part with. It comes in an old leatherette box. I don't know if it is the original box or not. I have owned this for approx 25 years, and I estimate that it's close to 100 years old. I don't think that you will ever see anything quite so unusual again! Please ask any questions that you need to. Thank you. On 10-Apr-13 at 17:25:52 ... moreBST. Seller added the following information: Just realised that I stated leatherette box. It's actually covered in a velvety material- really old- don't know why I typed leatherette, my mind must have been elsewhere!

Antique 1940's Native American Sterling Silver Pilot Mountain Turquoise Bracelet
Antique 1940's Native American Sterling Silver Pilot Mountain Turquoise Bracelet Estimated Antique Shop Value: $2000.00+ 82 Grams total weight. That's over 70 dollars in silver alone, what an investment! Size and Measurements: The bra celet gap measures just under just over 1 inch. The inside circumference not including the gap measures 5 and 1/2 inches. The stone measures 1 inch by 1 inch. Details of Style& or Stones(s) This bracelet is one of the most unique Native American bracelets that i have ever sold! This is a very OLD Navajo Indian bracelet! The quality of the stone and the silver work are impeccable and indicative of a lost time in jewelry that dictated quality that was meant to last through the years! The bracelet was made in the old time wide bezel type format around the stone. Every little swirl pattern and silver ... morebead around the stone was completely hand crafted. The artist then laid 5 strips of silver down on a 3 tired hand crafted bracelet. On the strips of silver he hand stamped traditional Navajo Indian design work including the sun and clouds. The artist also hand crafted an amazing traditional Navajo Leaf to partly cover the stone, very unique! The bracelet has been broken in the past, however has been professionally repaired by an expert jeweler. He hand soldered and strengthened each tier up where it had been broken. They are stronger then they were before they broke! You can view the repair job in the pictures above, the jeweler laid three different strips of silver on each side of the tiers. The amazing stone in this bracelet is called Pilot Mountain Turquoise. It is nearly impossible to find Pilot Mountain Turquoise of this age! You see during the 40's mining techniques to reach high quality spiderweb turquoise like this in Nevada did not exist, so most of the time it was something found partially covered and easy to get to, usually low quality turquoise. Not this turquoise however, very high quality spiderweb turquoise! Pilot mountain turquoise is well known for it's

Antique Iroquois Native American Beaded Shoe Boot Hanging Wall Pocket Whimsy
This auction features an early antique Native American Iroquois beaded hanging wall pocket whimsy. It is not dated but I believe it was made ca 1900 to 1920. It has thick beading on the front using unusual blue beads. It measures 3 3/4" wide by just over 5" tall not including the tassels. It is in excellent used condition. I do not see any missing beads or missing sequins on the body of the piece. One tassel is missing half of its beads and there might have been a fourth tassel on the left side. Some minor discoloration of the fabric and the string hook on the back needs repair. Don't miss our other auctions three more Iroquois beaded pieces we will be auctioning this week. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOOD DOUGH TRENCHER BOWL NATIVE AMERICAN FOLK ART PAINTING
ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOOD DOUGH TRENCHER BOWL NATIVE AMERICAN FOLK ART PAINTING DANCER. Exquisite HUGE primitive wood trencher/ dough bowl with an amazing hand painted Native American/ Indian dancer inside. The painting is signed as you can see. Looks like milk paint but you can be the judge. The bowl appears to be 19thC but you can be the judge of that also. The painting was likely done circa 1930's-50's. Very nicely done. Bowl measures almost 29" x 15" so a very impressive size. Has some damage as you can clearly see, some chips and cracks and such but still very solid. Would make an amazing centerpiece on a piece on a large table, has a hook on the back so it can be displayed like a wall hanger. Looks wonderful with your Southwest folk art, pottery, bead work, artifacts, turquoise jewelry, etc but would also be neat in a ... moreprimitive farm house with your treen, spoons, bread boards, etc. Pictures should say the rest, maybe Navajo?
