The basket does show age and slight wear but absolutely no rips.Tears or blemishes.Despite being quite thin and flexible it maintains a perfectly round shape with no distortion to the rim. The ornamentation consists of circular bands of geometric designs surrounding a central"snowflake" motif.A small white thread loop is present near the rim on the reverse. B242b] For sale in this auction is a very tightly and firmly woven Native American Indian Eskimo basket made from bundled and coiled native grass from the northwestern area of Alaska. The grasses have bright colors for a time after weaving. But eventually fade to the wheat brown and darker. The coils are made from tightly wrapped and coiled winter-hardened natural plant stems or fibers bound by more of the unfolded leaves of grass. The basket is extremely tightly wrapped and coiled native grasses. This basket's stitches are smaller, tighter, and firmer than run-of-the-mill baskets. One Antique Native American Sioux beaded moccasin
This is a very old probably 1890's single moccasin. Just one. Buckskin with rawhide soles and sinew sewn green, blue and white seed beads around the sole. The porcupine quill on the top is worn with small samples of pink quill remaining. The moccasin measures about 10" long and 4" wide. Although the quill is gone on the top the bead-work is in good shape. Not much is missing, see photos for that. The sole is solidly stitched, only one stitch is missing. Antique Native American Lakota Sioux Child Moccasins(1870-1890)
These Moccasins are made entirely of Native American tanned leather. Most likely elk hide for the uppers and bison rawhide for the soles. They are beautifully beaded and both the bead and sewing thread are animal sinew. The glass seed beads are stitched applique' in half-inch wide lines on the toes and sides. The beadwork design on the tow is known as the bison hoof pattern.There are several diagnostic seed-bead types, irregular whites, cobalt blues, white-heart reds and miraculously NONE are missing. Big Antique 1900s Native American Sterling Monte Cristo Turquoise Cross Necklace
Antique 19 0 0's Native American.900 Coin Silver Monte Cristo Turquoise Cross Necklace RARE! Necklace Size: The chain is 18' long. The pendant with the bale is 2 3/4' long x 2 1/2' wide. Bale may fit up to a 2.5 mm chain. Necklace Style& Stone(s) Wow where do I even begin? This is by far the oldest turquoise Native American cross that has come to us. Still in stunning and excellent condition. The turquoise is what we believe to be Monte Cristo turquoise which is known for a soft blue color with light to brown matrix. This mine was founded in the 1900's and The Monte Cristo mine is one of the old claims in the Pilot Mountain Mining District in Nevada. This mine was heavily worked in the early 1900's and then forgotten. It is now part of the incorporated mines that make up the Pilot Mountain Turquoise mine. Each ... moreone of these stones have been hand cut and polished. Each one is set in a saw tooth bezel setting or known as petit point work. Each cabochon is in great condition and tightly in place. Each one is then surrounded by silver bead work to accent the entire cross. The bale is in great condition as well and is soldered together so that the chain will not slip off. What really makes this pendant unique and incredible is that it is made up from coin silver. With our XRF-spectrometer test we are able to read the exact alloy of the metal content. Because we were avid coin dealers before we started selling jewelry we have found that the content of this was made from old Morgan dollars thus. Being coin silver. The artists used coins as this was the easiest way possible to determine a good and strong enough alloy that could be used for jewelry. The artists took the dollars and would melt them down, roll out the silver ingot into thin strips and begin to cut the base of the cross. As seen in the pictures you can tell that there is two lines that look like"cracks" but this is not damage. It is one piece of a strip that has been layer on top of the other to create the cross design. O

Here is a unique antique carved wood match holder in the shape of a Native Amercian Indian Chief. It looks like it was probably mounted to the wall or a larger display piece. It measures about 15" tall and 8 1/2" wide. There is split in the wood on the bottom under the match holder part. I am guessing this piece to be from at least the 1920's or older. Antique Native American Beaded Pincushion c. 1900 According to an eBayer Collector: Nice pincushion. It was made about 1900 near Niagara Falls probably by a Tuscarora beadworker. I have several similar pieces made by the same beadworker that say FROM NIAGARA FALLS and a couple I've seen have had dates around 1900. I call them snowflake pincushions. The Iroquois Confederacy is made up of six nations: the Tuscarora. Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Mohawk. So the pincushion is Iroquois and specifically, Tuscarora. The piece is covered in Glass beads are clear. Green, amber and smoke Fine beads in center highlight the 6 point snowflake No holes or tears no loss of stuffing probably straw or sawdust Some loss of beads due to age Measures: 5-1/2" dia Lovely Star shape

Antique Trade Beads Russian Blues White Hearts Buttons Native American
This is another lot of antique trade beads I'm selling for a local estate. They were traded by the white man to the Native American and then from tribe to tribe. These were picked up in the Great Basin. Eastern Sierra, many years ago. These particular beads and buttons were strung on thread which has since broken in many places. The beads are Russian blues, all sizes of white hearts including the mini ones, and amber colored glass beads. Then, there are old glass buttons, a metal button and brass brads similar to those on Levis, which have turned a nice green color. A really nice lot of antique glass trade beads.

This bag is in used condition and I think that the photos provided give everyone a good idea of what they are looking at. The leather is not so white anymore, but just shows how much it was used. Again, see condition description) the leather is dry, but I had no problems unbuttoning, opening and closing it back up again. The bag is about 8.25" long when opened(not including the fringe) is about 3.5" wide. The decorative beadwork(which has 6 colors in it) is 2" in diameter.
