Vintage Antique Lg American Indian Coiling Basket / Lid Raw Hide Bottom / Top
Antique Native American Large Coiling Basket with Lid and Raw Hide on Bottom and Top Made with Natural Fibers and Dye. A Very Rare Find The basket is a nice large size. Measuring a total height of 12" The bottom half is 6 1/2" Top has a 1 1/2" lip which seals the basket well with a very tight seal. The rest of the lid is approx 5 1/2" including the raw hide section. The diameter of the open basket is approx. 10" with coiling approx. 3/4" thick. Bottom diameter is 7 1/2" Diameter across the top raw hide 3" The weaver used 2 colors of natural dye a Teal color and a Wine. On top and bottom the basket is completed with a raw-hide. Looks and feels like what they used for there drums. This basket does have some fading on the outside especially on the lid probably due to sun exposure. The lid also has some ... morethinning areas. Antique Tlingit orTshimpshian Indian Basket c.1890 with Knob Handled Lid
I purchased this root basket nearly 50 years ago at an estate sale. I was told it was an antique from the Tlinglit Alaskan Indians from the late 1800's. As you can probably tell from the pictures at one time it had paint. When I purchased this about 1960 the paint was pretty much gone. It was one of many baskets from a collection and the only one I could afford. I was told the basket had been kept in a curio cabinet by the window and that was probably why the paint had faded/fallen off. Structurally the basket is in great condition. I kept it for nearly 45 years in the drawer of my old dressing table. Kept a small lot of perfumed oils in the basket. The basket looks to be in the condition I bought it in though it does smell of the oils. The knob handle is very quaint. What drew me to this piece decades ago. I never remove the lid by the ... morehandle only by the rim of the lid. I have been very careful to maintain the basket as one does with a treasured item. Antique Apache Indian/Native Basket, Geometric and Figurals, Very Finely Made
Up for auction is a finely constructed Apache Native American basket. The antique basket probably dating to the 1800's is absolutely awesome except for the large black stain or burn area. I think it is a stain because of the black residue in the interior though it is possible that it was too close to a fire. I have not attempted to clean this basket. The coils are tightly woven and the geometric designs. Men and dogs are very well executed. The basket measures 4 inches high and a little over 11 inches across the opening. I do not find any breaks or missing stitches in this tightly woven basket. Please check out all the photos and thanks for looking.

Believed to be early 1900's. In very good condition for their age. Beaded mukluks handmade by a Canada First Nations Northern Cree Indian. Nice. Tight beadwork with some very minimal bead loss which is shown in the photos. There is some wear/loss of the Beaver fur trim which also shows in the photos. The leather is smoked moose hide or deer. Soles are in very good condition. The upper material appears to be wool and they are lined with canvas. No rips or tears. There is some wear on the material a above the fur trim on the right foot. One of the seams is letting go on the back ankle of the left but can easily be repaired. Inside sole measures 12" long and 4 1/4" at the widest. They are approx. 12" tall.

Antique Articulated PUPPET ELEPHANT Indian c1900/30. This is a really nice item which I will be sad to see go ~ An ANTIQUE WOODEN ARTICULATED ELEPHANT PUPPET From INDIA. Made Circa 1900 to 1930. This item is very old but as been looked after by me since I was a child. It is still completely original apart from the strings. Which were originally silk, but changed to shorter cord strings when the silk rotted away. The strings are now short as the puppet has spent many years on display in a cabinet, hanging from a shelf. It is very well made from solid wood with a fine canvas neck joint which allows the head to move, and the trunk can be raised and lowered. It is believed to be well over 80 years old, probably made between 1900 and 1930 ish. It is well painted in white paint with red details, and has a natural hair tail bound with cotton cloth. ... moreIt measures about 6 1/2 inches high and is 8 inches long, plus the trunk which is 5 inches long. The joints are nicely articulated and all in good order. One of the ear joints has an old repair, but this is the only fault and is quite secure. This yearbook measures 10 1/2 inches in height and is 8 inches wide. This yearbook is over 126 pages and is an original. This outside of this yearbook is in decent condition. there is some visible use and age around the corners as well as the binding and some paper loss from the front right hand corner. This yearbook is bound by heavy dark brown paper. There is no visible writting or autographs in the book. The inside of this yearbook is in very good condition for its' age. This book covers grades 9 through 12 and includes many clubs as well as sports teams.

It does have a few dents but thats to be expected with an item so old which was used to measure grains, rice. etc. We aquired it at an Estate Sale and were told it is over 75 years old. It is engraved with"1 Payali" on the top rim band and below the band it is engraved with"J.N. KANSARA KANSARA CHAWL BOMBAY 2" There is also a dotted engraving on the back, I do not know what it says(see picture) The bottom is engraved with"J.N. KANSARA. Likely a bridal or formal sari. There are three small holes(pictured) near the eddges that correspond with the"hem" and slight wear at the"waist" area(where it was tucked into the slip and folded. A beautiful sari of five yards long and 43 in. wide. A bit heavier from the metallic threads. It weighs about two pounds. I spent some time living and traveling in India and have worn it. Made of approx sterling silver: silver 900 with multi-layer(filled) with approx 5% of precious platinum and approx 5% precious palladium(both precious metals far more valuable than silver) Therefore, will rarely be in need of polishing. Bracelet's considered rare. Beautifully Native Peruvian indian hand crafted with very impressive earlier smith workmanship in an eye catching hand chased tribal pattern which likely depicts some sort of reptilian diety and thunder birds(phonix birds in other cultures) Very well made. Main body(panel) links are done in the earlier hand shear(scissor) cuts with loupe(connecting) links ALL hand soldered fully shut. Has strong slide clasp which opens and locks in shut, just fine. Will fit most up to a size 6 3/4 inch wrist. Length and inner circumference are not as relevant to actual fitting size as its inner diameter. Based on dome(inner arched) links which widen with inner diameter of 2 1/2 inches. Shut, inner circunmference is a little over 6 3/4 inches(as in 6.85" yet will fit up to size 6 3/4 inches with a little extra needed room for comfort. Antique US Indian Service Uniform Brass Buttons Set of 6
My husband has had these buttons since childhood(12 in all) He's 50+ now. And while he still values them, he's willing to part with some of his collection. They're in excellent condition with only minimal loss of their original finish on the front. The back shank does show loss of finish on the top of the loop. To be expected for a button. Each button is 7/8 inch in diameter. The buttons were a gift from a retired gentleman who lived in the neighborhood where we grew up- just a few miles from Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument(formerly Custer's Battlefield) and the Crow Reservation in Montana. He liked a willing ear and we liked his stories. He had the coolest workshop filled with all sorts of treasures kids swoon for like dinosaur fossils and Indian arrowheads. Antique Handmade East Indian Malasa Water Jug Very Unique And Rare
For sale is an antique handmade water jug. In excellent condition. There is a stamp on the top handle that reads"Malasa" which is an area in India. This very unique East Indian piece has a spout, a raise up hole for ventilation and a big circular handle at the top, presumably for inserting a pole for easy carrying. Jug is approximately 13" tall by 8.5" wide. There is a mark on the vase that reads"Ming, which was probably put on there afterwards, looks to be written in pencil. Here is an antique Nippon 11 1/2" tall vase. The body of the vase is handpainted in lovely white roses and the top shows the Indian sign motif. The indian painted motif is done in brick red. Turquoise, brown and gold.The rim and handles, and the bottom rim the vase are done in gold paint, and you can see the little gold dots design on the ornamental top of the vase. There is rubs to the handles, and some light soil marks to the white body of the vase. There are no chips or cracks to the vase, and it is very pretty. Antique VTG Miniature Native American Indian Baskets Limited Beadwork Florida
Estate found.five miniature antique/vintage Native American Indian baskets with limited beadwork. Very possibly a Florida tribe? I am not knowledgeable in Native American artifacts other than recognizing that they are Native American crafted and have age to them. Any help from experts is always appreciated so that I can give proper attribution to the tribe. All baskets are in what I consider excellent condition.no holes. Tears, fraying etc. The weave is tight. All appear have a patina. There are no missing beads. The baskets measures between 4" and 1 3/4" tall with the diameters being between 3" and 2" I do not know what material(grass, reed etc.these were crafted from, but, the largest basket with handle appears to be woven of pine needles. The purple/mulberry dyed basket has a*fringe* edging with beaded design. One other ... morebasket has this*fringe* edging with beaded design. The basket with all yellow beading had a lid with beaded handle on top.
