This is a small piece measuring 18 X 22 inches. It is very well made. Soft, and colorful. It would be great to hang or use as a pillow top. It is old, probably antique. Colors are red, black, cream and a very light peach color. Somewhere I read that the lines are like railroad tracks, whether that is right or not I don't know. Antique 24 carat gold earrings set with rubies. Made in Himachal Pradesh. In the Himalaya area of northwestern India at least 100 years ago. 2 inches long. Excluding the loops and weigh a whopping 43.2 grams together. Stunning earrings. Due to their exceptional size and weight it has been suggested that they should be used as lavaliers or pendants on a necklace. Egg shaped with a raised border/ plate on both sides. The surface has extraordinary applied filigree and repousse decoration- scrolls. Flowers, buds, granulation. Bottom of one side is set with a gemstone that tests as a genuine ruby(not glass/synthetic) The pink stone is set in a raised, openwork flower. Back is similarly decoration with beautiful design. Antique Mughal Indian Earrings 22k Gold Enamel Gem Rare Collectors Items (#3934)
Extraordinary pair of antique 22 carat gold. Gemset and enamel earrings or ear ornaments, called Thuria. Originate in Upper Assam, India, and worn by the upper classes in previous centuries. Measure 1 1/4 inches long. Weigh 16.4grams. A widening tube-shape attached to a skirt in floral and foliate form. The lower area. Nearest the skirt is decorated with beautiful blue and green enamel work, known as minakari/ meena, which is becoming very rare and difficult to find in antique pieces of jewellery. Tiny golden patterns of leaves further refine the enamel work. The underside, which would be the most visible side of the ear ornament, is set with red stones in the form of a flower. Each stone surrounded by a wall of 22k gold. The stones test as genuine(not glass or synthetic) pink topaz or spinels. Above the enamel work the broadening cylinder ... moreis similarly set with pink stones enclosed in gold. In a geometric pattern. The opposite side has a star combination of enamel and gems. Here some of the enamel is missing, as shown in the'photos. One leaf of the'skirt' has also lost half of it's enamel, but the others are perfect. The colours and design are highly reminiscent of a peacock- deep green. Blue, pink and gold. Antique enormous earrings from the Mughal/ Nizam era in India. At least 200 years old. Diamonds. Genuine Basra Pearls, emeralds set in gold which tests to at least 14k. Almost 4 inches long. Total weight is 54.7grams. Sturdy gold wires suport a double hoop of diamonds and pearls. With smaller pearls and emeralds dangling in clusters below each hoop. The center of the large, outer hoop suspends a fish, in turn dangling clusters of pearls and emeralds including a large emerald bead in the center. The fish may be one of the forms that the Indian god Krishna assumes or simply a traditional symbol of fertility, to ensure the continuity of the clan. It is set with diamonds. The myriad of small parts gives a sense of perpetual motion. These earrings are extremely rare and rightfully can be considered museum pieces. There is one small hole that was repaired sometime in the past and I have pictured this repair. Antique Sterling Silver Navajo American Indian Belt Buckle Turquoise Stone 30 g
This beautiful hand made sterling silver belt buckle has an elongated'turquoise' stone set in the center. The buckle is quite ornate and comes in a symmetrical design. I have dated it to the early 1900's era but it could well be earlier. The buckle is not marked but I had had it authenticated as'sterling' at a local jewelers. From my research it would appear that this has'Navajo' Indian origins. It weighs 30 grams(on my scales) It measures 1-3/4" deep x 2-7/8" long. The belt size would be up to 1" wide. Up for auction: A rare vintage/antique felt pennant/ flag depicting an Indian head with headdress from Tucumcari New Mexico. These types of items were popular in the early to mid 1900's. Not many of these have survived and if you like this one. I have a few more from other historical locations(check my other listings or contact me) Very cool Indian head wearing a headdress. The piece is on foam board in shrink wrap. Antique Iroquois Indian Green Beaded Bird Pincushion w/ 1913 Date
Up for auction is a beautifully crafted antique beaded pincushion. Crafted by one of the talented Iroquois beadworkers around the turn of the past century. It is made of greenish fabric in the shape of a winged bird, and is decorated with hundreds of large and small glass seed beads. Look at the variety of beads on the wings, and the white"collar" around the bird's neck. Additional beads are scattered all over the bird's body, and white beads form the eyes. Then there is a loop dangle from the bird's beak, also made of beads, and to top it off, there's the date, 1913, on the underside of the tail. This beautiful artifact was made exactly 100 years ago this year. It's very nice antique Iroquois pincushion with terrific presence. The pincushion is a nice largish size. Perfect for display. It measures 7" from ... morebeak to tail, with about a 4" wingspan. This beautiful pincushion is in really nice condition for its advanced age. There are three missing green beads on the underside and some minor rough spots in the fabric on the underside, but these are the only real issues. This auction is for an antique display of 18 multi-state Paleo Indian historic arrowhead artifacts. This display was recently found at an estate sale for a very old lady who had extensive collections of a variety of pre-1950 collectibles. Close examination of this display and the little paper labels on each arowhead reveals this quality handmade display was made several decades ago and is still in excellent condition. I am certain these arrowheads and points are authentic and there are not any reproductions. The variety of projectiles in this display all appear in excellent condition and most are between 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" long with several different types represented. The glass covered wooden frame measures 21 1/4" by 13 1/4" by 1 3/4" and it weighs 5 lbs. 9 ozs. For auction here is an antique Navajo saddle blanket. Double size(approximately 50" x 28" It dates from the early 20th century, circa 1900-1920. There is some fraying along the edges due to age and use. But the blanket is clean, with no odors(it comes from a smoke-free home) and the colors are still bold with little fading.

A Quality Indian Basket by anyone's standards. The basket is lidded and is very clean. I.E. No Damage anywhere. Dated roughly to very late 1800's to about 1920. It measures about 5.25" high and 6.25" in diameter. YOU CAN NOT SEE DAYLIGHT anywhere through this basket. That is how tightly it is woven. There are 6 rows per inch in the weaving. I am not sure about tribal information. Three experts out there tell me it is an Eskimo Indian Basket, probably Yupik. Thanks for your input! Also as a result of that input.
