Whatever their original purpose. They are high quality and intricately decorated brass fittings, we think done in an Indian style. Possibly intended as fittings for stairwell columns, display pillers, bed posts, or even tusk decorations for an elephant statue, these 2 5/8 inch high items have wide bases that are 2 3/4 inches in diameter and tops that are 2 1/8 inches in diameter, for a slight cone shape. One of these nearly identical pieces has holes for nails, while the other doesn't. Together, they weigh 9.5 ounces. Both these fittings are in good overall condition. Some of the enamel dots are missing. But this is nothing that ruins the appearance of the items. Antique Se m inole Indian Native American Doll An older 6 1/4" Seminole Indian dolls with green and orange colored glass bead necklace and white bead earrings. This doll is in very good condition with slight fading and age discoloration. There is a small piece missing along the lower hem of the dress on the backside. This may have been in the original fabric and missed when it was hemmed. This flaw is not noticable when the doll is sitting upright. Please see photos for details. Antique North American Indian Artifact
I believe this to be some type of antique North American Indian Artifact however have absolutely no clue as to its origin or age.It appears to have been used for some type of smudging and appears to date to at least the 1800's based on the deterioration of the clay. The rock hard aged nature of the material that binds the bowl to the sticks, and the patina of the sticks themselves. This could be a Cree artifact as it was purchased in Manitoba, Canada however I am honestly just guessing as to everything. This artifact measures approximately 12" at the widest point and is just over 3 1/2" tall. Any help identifying this object would be greatly appreciated. Antique Indian Solid Silver Novelty Barrel Shape Raised Relief& Engrave Decorated Tea Caddy c. 1890 This Antique Tea Caddy or Tea Box measures approximately 3 inches or 7 7 mm across the widest part of its central body from side to side and it stands 4 1/8 inches or 104 mm tall to the top of the finial or handle on its lid. The tea caddy is hand made from 147.8 grams of solid silver in the novelty form of a coopered barrel that has a slightly domed push fitting circular lid. The outer rim of the lid overhangs the body and it has a step decorated center with a ball shaped finial or handle on the top for ease of opening. The outer body of the barrel has engrave decorated strap s that segregate the body into eighteen shaped panels of which nine of them have an alternate plannished or hammered decoration and the other nine panels along with ... morethe lid have been wonderfully hand embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated with Indian village scenes. The tea caddy or box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and the underside of the body has been engraved with what I presume is an Indian silversmith or makers mark V75 all as photographed below, although I have been unable to find any silver marks as is very typical with these antique Indian silver items the tea caddy or tea box has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from solid silver. I estimate that this novelty shape tea caddy was made circa 1880- 1900. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The tea caddy has No Large Dents. It has been beautifully hand embossed and chased with various village scenes and a band that spirals around it. IT IS NOT IN TOO BAD OF SHAPE FOR IT'S AGE. BASKET IS 12 INCHES ACROSS AND 3 INCHES TALL. INCLUDED IS A LETTER FROM THE SMITHSONIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN.
