On the inside bottom I noticed some roughness possibly from old paint or weathering I'm not sure but the door appears to still be in overall good condition and solid .. when I turn the handle the latch goes in and out and seems to be in functioning order but I don't know enough about the old hardware but it seems to work when I use it .
