New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Height: The heights of both doors were unevenly cut. Most likely to compensate for a settling foundation or a warped floor. They are a complete set of knobs with one on each side of the door. The paint is in vintage shape for its age. You will see some scuffs and scrapes on the one side and the other has the bottom four panels down a different color. It appears something was in front of the door when the second coat of old paint was added many years ago. Along one edge of the door there is a crack that runs up the side. It could easily be glued and clamped together. I do not know how to ship this. You are welcome to pick it up or we can talk about actual shipping and handling costs if it has to ship.
