Antique, Victorian Green Crystal, Cut-glass & Sterling Perfume Scent Bottle
This lovely antique perfume bottle is made of sterling silver and cut glass. The top features a large emerald colored crystal and there are 5 emerald colored crystals around the sides. Below the cap. The rim is marked Sterling and has a‘B’ with a sword through it which is a trademark for Blackington& Co. It is also marked with the number 8185. The lid closes with a snap and there is no stopper. The piece is in excellent condition and measures approximately 4 and 1/4 inches in length. The hand-cut glass is exquisite. The Victorian perfume bottle likely dates back to around the 1880’s and would be a nice addition to a collection or a nice piece to start a collection. This auction has no reserve.

Antique Fine Filigree & Blue Jeweled Victorian Perfume Bottle w/ glass dauber
Here is another wonderful very old bottle from my personal collection. I have had it for many years and decided to bring it out for the holidays to see if any one is interested in it. This bottle is a true antique at least 100- 130 years old. made of glass and very fine filgree with gold ormolu. as you can see in the pics. It has a large blue smooth caboncon stone bezel set and on the sides it has 4 panels that have 3 blue stones each. non missing. the bottle still even has its long glass dauber. I find it interesting that the glass has rounded panels and notches along the sides. CONDITION; I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THE BOTTLE IS IN WONDERFUL ANTIQUE CONDITION. the gold ormolu is mostly all there. the filigree is all good. Nothing loose or broken. as stated still has the glass dauber. the glass is clear and healthy no spots or residue. ... morebut I just noticed when holding up in lights for photos. Before the times of fast cars and planes Was the Victorian Era of Carriages and Trains Up for auction is this dainty Victorian perfume tantalus fit for a queen. A traveling perfume tantalus for those long and hard trips back then. Felt liner over wood. Beveled crystal see through windows on both sides, and amazing brass cartouches on all four corners. In the center of each brass cartouche is a portrait of Queen Victoria herself. The clasp on top unlocks the case to reveal the inner compartment. There are three holes around the velvet inner liner to hold three perfume or scent bottles. I still have the three original bottles. These bottles have no damage nor does the cut glass stoppers have any damages. The bottles came from B.D Baldwin& Co. from Chicago IL in the 2nd half of the 1800's. There is Plum Blossom, Queen Bess, and Violets. ... moreAll bottles have the original labels. The Tantalus measures 6 1/2" long, 3 1/2" wide, and 5" tall. The outside cloth liner shows its age. There are a couple small areas missing the liner. The liner on the one side has a small tear near the bottom. The inside velvet is frayed and worn. The beveled glass is perfect though, along with the metalwork corners and clasps. The tantalus has a wire handle that is braided. This piece is quite the find. The dealer I purchased this from bought it from the original owners estate. The bottles were made by Schafer& Vater. They are from the Victorian era 1900 to 1910s. Their is an impressed number on the bottom but I cannot make it out. my guess it it is 2057. The perfume bottles are unusual in that it has what is believed to be the original scent remains inside{ No liquid. Just the remains of perfume that has evaporated and left behind a residue} I know some people collect the actual scents, so have not washed these. One has more than the other. It is an unusual fragrance, somewhat like wildflowers with a slightly sweet, honey undertone. It is a lovely, natural scent compared to today's ... moreperfumes. The bottles are in very good condition. I see no chips, cracks or repairs to the Jasperware. Both have the original tops and daubers. One of the daubers is cracked and the piece is missing, see photos. The dauber is glass with a color glass cane inside. The corks shows wear. They should be replaced if you are going to use these. Naturally, I did not wash the bottles as some people collect the scent itself, so you will be receiving this as they are pictured. Both need a nice tidying up. Measurements are 6 inches tall. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is gorgeous multi-lobed perfume bottle and atomizer. This is a very delicate bottle& atomizer. The horn where the bulb attaches has been re-soldered on. It is all original but has had that one repair. You probably never would have known if not told. But it helps me make a point that when removing these old tops ~ always hold only the main body of the atomizer when you twist. Not the part where the bulb comes out and not the little sprayer nose as these are easy to snap off. This was a"fixer-upper" that turned out really beautiful. I've done my best to shine up the metal and remove some of the corrosion. I know you"purists" are rolling your eyes- LOL! Don't worry. There is still enough there to keep the character of the ... morebottle. My feeling is that I do the bottle more justice to bring it closer to what it used to be ~ and most people who collect want them looking their best. I know you all have gotten"that" bottle before, the one with dirt so thick you can feel the grit and bottles filled with thick, gooey, stale perfume. If it is within my power you will never get a bottle like that from me! If you're looking for a show piece this is where I want you to come and browse. You will always find a variety of makers and styles. The burgundy bulb on this is new but completely removable if you want to change it out. There are no chips or cracks to the bottle. I do note a 3-4 pin-prick sized areas where a bubble has popped and a couple teeny carbon spots. It was only as I was photographing this bottle that I noticed each lobe has a different floral painting on it. I also think the white lobes used to have a fine gold design that has worn away with time. Just under the collar are gold painted flowers over a dark green background. DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful. Antique chatelaine green glass perfume bottle. It has a lovely egg shape with an elaborate, hand-painted, and gilded enamel design of flowers. It has a hinged gilt brass cap, beaded chain, and ring attached. Inside is a small glass stopper. A BIT OF HISTORY: In Victorian times. The woman of the house would wear the keys to all the cabinets, chests, etc. on their belts in a"chatelain" to display their status. Younger women, who did not yet command a household, mimicked this practice with chatelaines of their own, filled with glittering, lovely things that they would use as conversation pieces in their drawing rooms. These were usually things like mirrors, compacts, lockets, and perfume bottles. Antique Victorian Pressed Glass Heart Shaped Perfume Alcohol Flask Bottle Cork
NOTE*Other then to the US I will no longer ship International unless contacted first for the postage rate so there are no surprises. Up for auction is this beautiful free standing pressed glass perfume bottle/ drinking flask. This is approximately 4 1/2" tall x 3" across x 1 1/2" thick and in great condition. The top of the lid has what looks like a bouquet design on it which leads me to believe this is for perfume but it could be used for alcohol if desired. The lid fits tight and is lined on the inside with cork. The glass does have an air bubble and some slight wear on the high point of the body which you really have to look for to see. Antique Victorian Seashell Perfume or Scent Bottle with Chain for Chatelaine
This very impressive perfume bottle measures 4 1/2 inches long. The chain was used to attach this vinaigrette to a Victorian Chatelaine. It dates to the latter half of the 1800's. This one has raised relief molded seashells and scroll work with a stippled background. The same pattern is on both sides. The original brass cap screws and fits perfectly. No visible markings.
