A truly unique vintage item.I've had it for a while but couldn't do anything with it until I saw one on Antiques Roadshow recently. Once I knew what to call it. I could research it. Unsure of it's age, definitely vintage and possibly antique. I exhausted many searches and didn't find one other like it. Most of the creels that I saw are made of wicker, a few canvas creels but nothing with the wooden top and bottom like this. My favorite part of it is the nautical rope around the top and bottom. The thick fisherman's rope, in near perfect condition with a few areas of slight fraying. Offering it for a very low price, the other 1960's&70's canvas creels without the rare materials and design of this one are being sold for upwards of $179.00. You are considering a(one) vintage weathered horse barn stall door/fence gate. There are eleven in all. They vary in size. But the overriding measurement is 72' tall X 41 1/2" wide. Your winning bid allows you to choose which one you want. Some of the gates still have hardware attached. I was told they are oak, but I have not planed any of the wood. I bought them for the wood, but decided to see if there was any interest before I tore them apart. A deal could be had if someone takes several. The door is made of solid wood, has 9 windows and 4 triangular raised panels. One glass lite is missing. But the rest are fully intact. We could either custom cut a new piece from our collection of old glass, or we could order a new glass lite(i.e. beveled, tempered, leaded, stained, etc. and install it-email us for a quote. The top corner of the hinge stile looks like it was pushed in by something; the top of the lock stile, bottom of the hinge stile, bottom rail, bottom of the lock stile, the crisscrossing rails, the edge of the lock stile and a piece of molding next to the window without the glass are all chipped; there is a break in the middle hinge mortise; a piece of molding above the window without the glass and the bottom portion of the hinge stile are both cracked. Otherwise. This door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. I have a set of vintage. Real wood doors with hand blown glass panels. They are from the early 1900's and originally came from a house in the Tacoma area. While the wood has normal wear on them, they remain in good condition and were recently used as office doors. There is one small crack in one panel of the glass. All the hardware is original. Doors are approximately 29 3/4' x 79 1/2' These doors are much to pretty to sit in my garage! They deserve to be the centerpiece of their new home. Local pick up only. This is from my parents’ estate. This is 79 inches tall. 31 ½ inches wide& 1 5/8 inches thick. This is too large to ship. I live in the Kansas City area. The door has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/32" Oak veneers and features 6 raised panels. No mortise was made for a lock set. As a result. You can install any lock set you wish! The door was stripped. But not completely. It needs a few more hours of stripping before it could be ready to stain. Otherwise, if you are looking to paint the door, it is ready to go.
