19th Century Atwoods Jaundice Bitters Georgetown Mass Sided Bitters Bottle

It is embossed on five of the sides ATWOOD'S JAUNDICE BITTERS MOSES ATWOOD GEORGETOWN MASS. It has a smooth base which is embossed with a P above a 5. It has a hand tooled double collar lip. It dates c.1885-1895. It was recovered on private property with permission and has iridescence. Stain, scratches/scuff marks, and some little no harm surface pings. It displays nicely and stands app 5 1/2" tall. Please look at my other auctions. Hand blown, figural Virgin Mary or Madonna bottle standing about 12.75 inches tall. It is crudely hand blown with a crude flared lip and applied handle. Nice tubular open pontil scar on hte bottom. It has nice stars embossed around on the back side. Gorgeous and mint condition except for a little rough spot on the back edge of the lip which looks like a in manufacturing flaw and a thin pontil flake which are common for most pontil bottles. It is hand blown and shows the nice impurities like bubbles of the hand blown glass. The bottom center is a big opening surtrounded by a glass like trench/moat. These would be typically filled with wine and sat outside or in a house or on a table to catch the wasps or flies that were abundant in Europe outside and inside as well as there were no screens at the windows. This is still today a very useful item and in many French restaurants they actually set out glasses with wine to catch the wasps which would otherwise bother outside diners. Because this is cold painted on glass. There is some loss of the paint, and the gilt trim is missing in some places. Here is a Very Rare Bottle from Rockland. Maine. This is"John Bird Company Rockland, Maine" This is dated from mid 1800s to late 1800s. Not sure if this was a Dairy type bottle or maybe Some kind of House hold Extract? This has a real small nick on the top lip of the bottle(see picture 8 on right side) and a 1/4" stress crack under the word Maine(see picture 9) this is a solid bottle with some slight rainbowing in the glass. This is 5" tall and 1.125" wide. One side is flat and face is rounded(see picture 4 for unique shape) This is a real neat bottle and I have never seen one like it from Maine! I have found this old bottle of'Sovetskoye Shampanskoye' in my grandma's flat. For some reason nobody has drunk it. I doubt the content of the bottle can be called'wine' now, but maybe somebody would like to have this unusual and probably rare artifact from Soviet epoch.

Vintage yellow decanter/ wine/ herb vinegar bottle I bought this bottle in 1 98 8. Did not know age at time and do not know now. So it is at least 25 years old I bought it to make herbal vinegars in but ended up putting dehydrated poke berries i n it. I am a lon g time herbalist and wanted to use this as a n ingredient for arthritis formula* I do not advise this unless you are a professional. The bottle's cap has a small dent. Rust and light loss due to corrosion but otherwise appears to be in good working condition. There is light rust and paint loss on the metal banding and handle. Offered for auction is this rare Glass Kerosene Bottle in good overall condition. The metal parts are rusted as the pictures show. But the glass is in good condition with no cracks or serious chips, just a few flea bites as to be expected and bubbles! The color somewhere in between Aqua and Green! The patter on this glass is rather unusual and one that I have never seen. I don't know if this was used to dispense kerosene for a stove or for filling oil lamps as I do not see any makers marks. It measures abu out 12" to the top of the spout, 9 1/2" to the top of the glass and has a 6 1/2" diameter base. This is an antique Spritzer Bottle.I think. On the bottom of the glass. It says"Made in Czechoslovakia" On the steel? top. It says: Sparklets Makers London" Soooo. I guess it's a"Sparklet" The lid screws on. The cover that's chained to the lid also screws on. There is a red(looks like painted) line that runs around the upper part of the bottle. The overlay weaved over the bottle seems to be made of a type of steel also. A very unusual piece. ANTIQUE VINTAGE HAND BLOWN AQUA BOTTLE w/ pontil mark
This auction is for a beautiful aqua blue hand blown glass bottle. The bottom of the bottle has a very rough pontil scar. The neck of the bottle is wrapped with a thin line of glass that was applied while still hot. I don't much about the details of this bottle. As I found it in an old house I am cleaning. The bottle weighs 4 lbs 3 oz. It stands almost 12 inches tall. At the widest point it is 9 inches wide. The bottom is roughly 6 1/2 inches wide. The bottom is made uneven and the bottle rocks. There are two small dings in the glass as shown in the pictures. Otherwise, there are no un-natural defects. There are areas where the hand blown process has left"beauty marks" on the bottle. Another beauty from my great Aunt. 13 1/2 inches tall. No Famosa label on this one. She said the first housekeeper of her's washed it and took it off, you can tell by looking at the quality that it is a Famosa piece. The soft speckled rose blush of the glass is so preety. Handblown. Clear glass cruet with two finger handle. Measures close to 4 1/2 inches high including stopper and about 2 3/4 inches across bottom. The stopper has frosted bottom. The top of stopper has a tiny area where it looks to been attached when it was hand blown. The cruet has some frosting in the inside top near the spout. No chips but does have mold marks on neck. An outstanding 19thC. American Wine Carboy or Demijohn. 17-1/4"H. acquired from a life-long collector. Hand-Blown and nearly-symmetrical with no seams; the neck has a slight lean, and the base is not perfectly round. Beautiful Green glass; closer to Emerald than Olive. This is a commanding bottle, absolutely loaded with inclusions: vertical air bubbles(even bubbles within bubbles! pot stones, ash, straw marks, and whittling everywhere. Stretched neck with applied top; large, smooth pontil/punty mark. This is a superb example that will display brilliantly in any Antique Glass or Bottle collection. Excellent overall condition.
