This auction is for a lot of 40 total Vintage era and or older bottles. Various shades of green, brown clear and cobalt blue glass bottles containers ect. These all have been dug up un earthed and some are or have sediment in them not in perfect condition, have been cleaned up to the best of my capabilities, Wasn't sure how to get them completely free of debris in side but removed as much as possible as you will see in pictures. The bottle is probably close too 1 liter is size. It is amber in color, and has the pabst blue ribbon emblem embosed 4 times around the top part of the bottle. It says NOT TO BE REFILLED NO DEPOSIT*NO RETURN around the very bottom of the bottle.The markings on the bottom are 3 52 21 and the trade mark is what looks like two# threes circled the bottle has a seam on each side that runs the length of the bottle,and the glass has an abrasive texture type finish. Hello All! Presented here is a Lot of 5 antique bottles dug by me at a dump dating between the mid 1860's to early 1900s. These are the years this dump was most likely in use. 1. The large brown bottle has DIOXOGEN embossed on it. It also has THE OAKLAND CHEMICAL COMP'Y embossed along the side towards the bottom. Please see the photos. The bottle is approximately 6-7/8 inches tall. 2. An embossed cobalt blue Bromo Seltzer bottle with the number 2 on the bottom. Approx 2.5 inches tall. 3. One rectangular clear bottle embossed with W. W. TAYLOR PHARMACY NASHVILLE on the side. And what looks like W T and third letter(illegible) and USA embossed on the bottom. It is approx 3-5/8 inches tall. 4. A smaller square clear bottle with W T& Co embossed on the bottom along with the letter A. This one is approx 2-3/8 inches tall. 5. 1830 ENGLISH BEER BOTTLE Brown Black SAND PONTIL Authentic ANTIQUE GLASS Early
Up for auction is what appears to be an early 19th century English beer bottle. Measuring 9" high, about 2-1/2" in diameter at the base. The bottle has what I believe to be a sand pontil base, with abrasive feel to glass inside. A brown bottle. That weighs 1 pounds, 1 ounces. This bottle was found at a recent Brooklyn estate sale where the former owner collected antiquities. Stretching as far back as 4000 B.C. The collection was especially strong in ancient Greece and Rome, Revolutionary War, and Civil War objects and books. The bottle has a handwritten and yellowed label. Which reads"English/ Beer/ 1830-1840/ $30.00" While I am not an expert on bottles, from what I can discern from my research, these dates of creation appear reasonable. The label is taped on with old Scotch tape, but is easily removable without residue ... morebeing left behind. Some surface wear to glass. I.e. grooves, scratches, etc, but no cracks. Irregular lip intact as it was when first applied. No markings on bottle. Perhaps a beer bottle intended for American export. Or just brought over by a collector. Good luck! Amber brown glass jug with a diamond pattern on the front and back. And a ribbed pattern on the sides. There is an area where a label may have been on the front of the bottle. The bottom is marked with an L inside a circle and the number 12. It is also marked'one gallon' on the back. It is NOT marked Bleach. Clorox or Purex on the bottle. It measures 11 3/4 inches tall. 7 inches wide and 5 1/4 inches deep. It weighs almost 4 lbs. This is in excellent condition with NO chips or cracks. But needs light cleaning and the cap is missing.
