Here is an antique figural bottle displaying a hand holding a dagger. It stems from the early 1900's or possibly before. The origin is unknown to me. It measures approximately 14 1/2 inches in height by 4 inches at it's widest point at the base. As shown in the photos. The bottle has a light purplish cast to it. It is quite detailed, showing a twist to the dagger handle and a bracelet of sorts on the arm. The bottle is in excellent condition. It does has scattered bubbles and glass flaws within the glass itself. There are minor abrasions(not chips) on the upper index finger and the rim. Up for bid in this auction is an antique amethyst handblown bottle with pontiled base featuring a robed female figure with hands clasped as if in prayer and the head of a child holding up the skirt of the robe at the bottle base. This beautifully colored figural bottle which is biblical in feeling is in great conditon with no chips. Cracks or breaks. Even the delicate curlicues at the neck of the bottle are intact. The little bottle is shaped like a cat or kitten and it has some nice hand painted details. The little bottle has the original cork and it might have been some kind of candy container originally. Really nice piece most likely made in Germany around the turn of the last Century. Measures about 2" tall without the cork. Guaranteed old and as described.
