18th Century Antique Reproduction Onion Bottle
Really cool reproduction onion bottle! It stands right under 8" tall. And is 5" wide. It has a pontil mark and some base wear. There are tons of bubbles including a lot of seed bubbles running up the neck. I am not sure who made this, but supposedly glass blowers at Jamestown made some reproductions. This might be one of those. It has the letters'JMJ' embossed within a circle on the body of the bottle. There are also little grooves running around the bottle. The mouth opening is 1/2" wide. There is a ring right below the mouth. The glass wall thickness is a little over 1/8" thick. I do not detect very much damage on this bottle, if any at all. Could use a cleaning to remove dust and such. I would not call this bottle mint, but it is very close. Please let me know if you have any questions! Check out my other items! ... moreShipping includes handling. Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day!

18th Century OLIVE GLASS OVOID BOTTLE
Offered is an 18 th century free blown glass bottle of unusual flattened ovoid form. The olive green glass is blown fairly thin for a bottle of this age making it a rare survivor of the period. I have not been able to find a related example. But someone suggested that this might have been some sort of“canteen” bottle that would have originally had some type of leather or woven covering. There is a very small flat spot on the very bottom, but not enough to allow it to stand. It has what I believe would be called a“cracked off” rim, that has been reinforced with applied squiggly band of glass. There is quite a bit of surface wear, but it does not appear to be a dug bottle. I hesitate to clean the interior, because this is way out of my field, and I don’t know how collectors like their bottles. The glass is fairly bubbly, and there are striations ... morein the elongated neck. This is really not my field, so please examine he photos carefully. And if you have any questions please feel free to ask.Dimensions are 9.5” x 5” x 3.75” And it weighs just under 1 lb 3 oz. ag6 2.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28c%3Eag6%3E2-142e90cc354-0xf5-

RARE TALL 18TH CENTURY ALPINE COUNTRIES BLOWN GLASS BOTTLE, pontil
A rare 18th century. Possibly Alpine Countries(maybe Austria, the bottle comes from an old Austrian estate that was recently cleared out) mould-blown glass bottle, of tall slender shape with finely ribbed bands spiralling upward from left to right; blown by the German half-post method, the body with cross-shape horizontal cross section. The top in the shape of a small globe with narrow opening, looking a bit like a nipple. Colorless glass with nice swirls, the metal containing some impurities a.o. small pot stones. Blowpipe pontil scar below the base. Perhaps this bottle was used as a feeder flask/ biberon? Or is it some kind of early barber bottle or sprinkler flask? Or is it just an odd type spirits flask? I did not find anything like it in my books on early glass bottles(also not in W. Van den Bossche) Nor in my auction catalogues or on ... morethe internet. The fine askew ribbing on the body provides a good grip while pouring and/or shaking the bottle. The aqua green color Alpine countries bottle(dated circa 1720) on the front cover of Van den Bossche to the left looks somewhat similar as far as the shape of the body and the askew ribbing goes. Bottle stands approx. 24 cms tall. Excellent intact condition. No chips. Cracks, stars, feet" or repairs. Good old use wear on the base. Shipping is solely with registered mail. Track&trace. Shipping costs within Europe vary depending on the zone: € 14.30- € 21,50. Shipping outside Europe: US$ 35.00. Please feel free to email me with any questions prior to buying. We ended ... moreup with three VERY EARLY pieces of American Glass. All from the same estate sale, so we assume from the same collector. We are putting them up in separate auctions, be sure to check out all three. This is the first of the three early pieces of glass. We were told this is a Wistar(Wistarberg. Wistarburg, Wistarburgh) glass utility bottle in a diminutive size. Just 7" tall. Crude applied thick lip, kick up pontil in a medium to dark yellow green circa mid 1700's, just prior to the Revolutionary War. While we had a single opinion on where it was made, this could be from one of the other South Jersey glass factories, or even somewhere else. WE ARE NOT GLASS EXPERTS! No chips or cracks, tons of bubbles, including some long pull ones. It has some interior deposits that we did not try and remove. An amazing bottle GOOD LUCK! Pair of 18th Century Stiegel glass enameled flasks w pewter tops, 7 3/4" h *
Offered here without reserve is this pair of 7 3/4Z" high Stiegel 18th century(ca 1770) glass flasks with enamel decoration and blown glass pontil underneath. I cannot say whether these are specifically Stiegel flasks or Low Country imports since to my knowledge they are indistinguishable. The two are wholly identical in motif and colors but as my pictures show one of the flasks has some residue inside at the top 1/3rd which I've made no attempt to clean. Otherwise there are in excellent condition. Again.
