So this larger end. you simple unscrew it to see the inner cork of the lid and a nice gilt thread collar around the bottle. a nice mouth too. no damage. The other end is a FLAT top. you can see the square hinge at the back.so simply lift the lid. hinge it up to see the gilt interior grill which has been fine chip carved engraved. looks like a little pepper pot. now then be carefull here. quite often this little grill hinges off or pulls up.this one you MUST unscrew the whole top lid. see the photographs. inside it has the small sponge. Aqua-Tinted Glass Prescription Medicine Bottle from late 1880s Dean. Foster& Co. based in Boston and Chicago This bottle was buried near our home in the older section of St. Paul. D.F. Co. is part of the mold of this bottle. And is on the bottom(see photograph) Dean, Foster& Co. was based in Boston from the 1870s through 1900, and also in Chicago from 1883 through 1893. The company made prescription/druggist ware. The glass is clear. But aqua-tinted. No chips or cracks. Light scratches on the neck. The neck is charmingly crooked. The top inch or so of the neck. While still of clear class, is translucent rather than transparent. I wonder if a cork had anything to do with this, or if it will clean up? Swirls and tiny bubbles within the glass. The exterior of the glass shows swirls. If held up to the light. I have not attempted to clean ... morethe glass. Beyond washing it with liquid dish soap and water. Our home is smoke-free. Antique Stiegel Glass Enamel Brides Bottle Flask Love Birds & Heart Folk Art
Offered for auction is another treasure from my inlaws estate. An Antique German Stiegel Glass Enamel Brides Bottle or Flask. Enameled with Love Birds, Hearts and Flowers in authentic Folk Art tradition. This Flask originally accompanied by shot glasses but they have since been misplaced. The flask or bottle measures approximately 6 3/4" tall. Is 2 3/4"wide, and 1 3/4"deep. Original pewter collar and cap; there is a cork that has slipped down into the bottle. As you can see from the pictures the flask is somewhat lopsided. Probably due to the hand glass blowing technique. Otherwise, in great antique condition. This beautiful antique EAPG fan diamond band prism ribbed pattern blown glass bottle has a diamond faceted stopper which I'm not sure if it's original or not. The bottle has a pontil in the center bottom. I haven't found the the pattern name or maker. The bottle measures apprx. 7 3/4" high with stopper 1 3/4" across the top 2 3/4" across the bottom. It is in fairly good used condition for it's age. No chips or cracks, does have whitish discoloration of the glass on the bottom. This pattern just sparkles in the sunlight! This bottle measures 7-1/8" high(18 cm) and 3-3/4" across at the widest(9.5 cm) It is decorated very elaborately and has a central vignette with a scene of a boy and a girl, this is painted on a white opaque glass plaque which is surrounded by a ruby red colored beaded border. The beads are repeated around the bottle in an intricate pattern painted in white with a frosted effect background. A few of the glass beads are missing(4) and one has a small chip. ANTIQUE PRESSED GLASS WHISKEY BOTTLE VASE- GLASS POWDER HORN This Antique Pressed Glass Bottle was made sometime around the early 1900s but I have been told both that it was an Antique Bud Vase was made for an Antique Car& that it was an Antique Whiskey Bottle in the shape of an Antique Powder Horn. But there are no marks or labels. Its 10 inches long& 1 1/4 inches across the flat rim of the neck but only 5/8 of an inch across the opening, it will hold about 5 ounces of water when filled up to the top, and the molded loop bracket you mount it with is 1 inch wide& sticks up 5/8 of an inch from the edge of the vase. There is a very thin sliver ship on one side of this bracket that is so hard to see I almost missed it, and its not really noticeable to get a picture of it, but it in no way puts stress on this part or hampers it being ... morehung by this part, and there are no other chips, cracks, scratches, or waters stains on the inside of the vase. Put this up in a sunny window and it will turn an even darker purple. Antique Stiegel Type 3-sided Glass Perfume Decanter Bottle Hand Painted Enamel
Up for auction is an unusual antique Stiegel type three sided perfume bottle or decanter with hand applied enamel scenes reminiscent of Pennsylvania Dutch farm life. This bottle has never been used. And has been stored in a cabinet at my family's Maryland farmhouse for generations. It cleaned up beautifully; the thick layer of dust must have kept the colors from fading. This old piece is very heavy, and makes a lovely noise like fine crystal when tapped. The stopper is very unique, with a large, controlled release bubble at its core. There is a gold"8" on the base. The glass bottle is in fantastic shape, with no chips or cracks noted. The stopper has a few chips& fleabites, but is still lovely. Circa Late 17th or Early 18th Century Dutch. English or German Wine Onion Bottle Up for auction is a circa late 17th/early 18th century"Onion" type glass wine bottle. The bottle is a great greenish color and of typical squat form. The bottle is in perfect condition. With no chips or breakage, and only very light surface scratching. The glass has lots of small and large bubble and some sand inclusions typical of glass of the period, with a deep punt and a clear pontil mark on the underside. This bottle was apparently found in a dig. The bottle measures about 5 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest part of the body and stands 7 inches high. Antique 5 Gallon Glass Carboy / Water Jug / Bottle (Distillata Water Co.)
This beautiful antique 5 gallon glass bottle is from the Distillata Water Company of Cleveland Ohio. The bottle is in great condition. With no cracks or chips. I took the time to completely clean and sanitize the inside(very difficult) and outside of this vessel, so it will be spotless upon arrival. The bottle has a very cool retro glass embossing on the outside which reads“Distillata Jumbo A pure distilled water” as well as“FIVE GALLONS” and“DEPOSIT $1.50” Wrapped around the inside of the circle it reads“THE DISTILLATA CO. 1542 E. 24 th. ST. CLEVELAND- 14- OHIO” And finally it says“PRospect 1-2900” at the top of the embossed circle logo. The bottom has a very interesting webbed glass pattern with the number 89 in a circle. This bottle is VERY heavy. As the glass is quite thick. This is truly a beautiful and rare piece of classic Americana ... morewhich would make a stunning decoration in any room of the house!
