Very Wonderful Vintage Ship in a Very Old Bottle with Landscaping / Lighthouse
Description I do think that this is an unusually nice and interesting old ship in a bottle. The bottle is 12" long and has an indentation on the bottom 2" deep. The ship itself is about 4" long and as you can see it is a four master. It's hard to take a decent picture of it. It looks a lot better. I think, when you really see it. There is a whole village in the background with a church, four trees, and a lighthouse. Everything is where it should be with no loose pieces floating around or anything. Her master and owner was Juan de la Cosa. Building a ship in a bottle was an old form of maritime art. Sailors of the past would often create things in their free time. Antique Vintage Leather Clad Bottle Tall Ship Theme
Beautiful old antique leather clad bottle with wooden stopper. Tall Ship at sea theme. With lovely gold scrolling above the picture and a band of lovely brown leather going vertically down the side of the bottle as an accent. The brown leather is repeated around the neck at the top(under the stopper) As well as at the base of the neck. The bottom is also covered in leather. Was used for holding alcohol, but can be used now as a decanter. Measures almost 9 inches high and is 3 inches wide. Very sturdy glass making it on the heavier side which makes it very durable. Just put the copper inside with a little soapy water or other cleaning agent and shake. The weight of the copper removes dirt and grime deposits in just a little time. Then pour the dirty copper into a sieve or screen and wash the dirt away and you are ready to clean the next bottle! This is the best method I have found to clean the inside of bottles. This is 10 GA wire that was cut into short lengths. I have found it an excellent size to clean the inside of bottles. This unique ship-in-a-bottle has been s tored away in an attic for many. Many years- not sure where or when it was purchased. The water scene has a three-masted ship sailing past a lighthouse. VINTAGE HAND MADE FOUR- MASTED SHIP IN A BOTTLE ~WATERFRONT SEAPORT FOLK ART
Up for auction is a very fine example of a one of a kind. Hand made, ship in a bottle. It was acquired at an estate auction in Palm Beach, Florida along with a number of bottles from a high end collection. It measures 12 1/2” long by 3 1/2” in diameter. The top opening is only ¾” across. This is all original art. Not made from a kit. This beauty has incredible dimension and detail. The four(4)masted ship flying the U.S. flag is accompanied by a tugboat at the ship's bow with similated smoke coming out of it's smokestack. All buildings and trees have intricate details. From the industrial smokestack to the solarium to all the factories in the town. Each building is constructed separately. A very fine addition to your ship in a bottle collection.

You are looking at a USED Vintage Franklin Wheaton TWD bottle. The bottle has an eagle with a shield over-top of TWD. On the opposite side there is a ship over-top of Franklin. The color is emerald green with green flecks throughout the bottle and a wavy green swirl on the bottom. The bottle is in excellent condition. There are no cracks. Chips or blemishes on the item.
