Two complimentary Sterling Silver Pieces from internationally renowned Norwegian Silversmiths. Theodor Olsens Eftf. based in Bergen since 1868. Both Open Salt Cellar and Horn Shaped Pepper Shaker are in the style of the Norwegian Dragestil movement of the early Twentieth Century. The Dragon Ship Salt Cellar measures around 9cm long by 5cm tall. Is Hallmarked with Maker's Mark and with 925S. Sterling and Norway. The interior of the Ship is Gilded. The Dragon Pepper Horn Shaker is around 6cm tall and bears the same Maker's Mark. It is carved out and has detail carving around the sides. There are pieces of horn used to form the sails. The masts are made of made from pieces of brass rod and the rope is twisted brass wire. It rests on top of a wavy piece of aluminum, attached to a wood block base. This ship would make a great addition to anyone's ship collection. The hull and masts of the ship are made of ox horn with carvings specifically on the hull. Would look great in any den. FEATURES: Hull and masts are made of carved steer horn. With brass wire and rods. Completely hand made, likely Central or South America. Up for grabs is a old brass. Or bronze, Tugboat Ship Air Horn. I found it digging in a guys basement at an estate sale. Their basement was full of other old boating and shipping pieces. Living in the Seattle Puget Sound area you tend to come across this kind of stuff time and time again. These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. Up for sale is an Antique Asian Sailboat that has been hand carved out of Yak Horn from the late 1800's. It measures 20" long and is 12.5" high and has 7 sails and what looks to be a Dragon Head on the front of the boat. I do not find any damage and the only sign of age is the white substance they filled the tiny holes on the design has come out of many of the holes but it still looks great.
