Not ... moreonly is this helmet in amazing condition. But it is also one of the rarest examples of a Mark V as well. During World War 2 there were 4 different manufacturers of the Mark V for the US Navy, Morse, Schrader, DESCO and Miller Dunn. Of those four, Miller Dunn only made a very small percentage. It has been said Miller Dunn only made 1000, which is a tiny amount for a government contract. Today, the few surviving Miller Dunn Mark V’s are very difficult to find in any condition. Last month we were shocked to turn up this beautiful Miller Dunn Mark V. It had been on display in a seafood restaurant on the east coast for years. People walking by it daily. The restaurant closed about ten years ago and this helmet had been in storage since then, so it is new to the collector market! We have lots of quality photos of the helmet above and below, so please take your time viewing the photo's. Mark V helmets are very difficult to find, this example is truly a very unique opportunity to own one of the most desirable. New. Never been used Vintage Aquabell Diving Helmet. Fully functional but is being sold"as is" and being sold as a collectors item only as it comes with a waiver of liability. Has a yellow plastic collar that one would fill with sand or lead shot, and a clear plastic dome with a stem at the top that a hose was clamped to. Has a modest amount of yellow fade and blackish discoloration in some areas as seen in the pictures in the clear dome only as seen with plastics from aging as these were sold in the seventy's out of an ad in'Skin Diver' magazine and are 1 ATM helmets. Comes with a color copy of the original sales brochure. This particular helmet has a chip and crack at the of the edge of the flange on a side of the front bottom of the clear the dome. Both defects are not seen with the yellow collar on as shown in the photo in this particular helmet. The helmet has been stored in a warehouse for years. The helmet was just recently inspected and overhauled and carries a current inspection sticker and paperwork the work was performed at American Diving Supply in New Jersey. Commercial Diving Kirby Morgan Superlight 17K - 37 helmet
After 15 + years I'm getting out of the industry. I'm selling off all of my gear. Starting with my hat Superlite 17K(essentially a SL37) I'm the original owner(purchased new Jan 2001) and the hat has been extremely well cared for(used but not abused) I added the quad exhaust in 2009 when I took the KM helmet technicians course from DCI(Seattle, WA. As you might know that was the only difference between the 17K and the 37. The hat was last dove June 2011 and not since. The inspection expired February 2012 so that will need to be taken care of. I'm including a soft goods kit for that very reason. The hat has always been in one type of hard case or another. Deep Sea Diving Helmet four bolt diving hood by Comex
Up for auction is a very early and completely unusual Full Face Deep Sea Diving Helmet four bolt diving hood by Comex. Complete with upper four bolt neck ring and top mounted adjustable exhaust valve and one foam rubber communications speaker cover. This early version hood is somewhat similar to the standard Navy issued hoods; and as such. Is a part of diving history. These diving helmet mask hoods have been successfully used for many years by divers working in shallow and uncontaminated waters. They are made of heavy duty rubber impregnated canvas and lined with waterproof rubber. With what appears to be stainless steel four bolt neck ring frame that holds the hood to the lower neck ring and diving suit. The result is a rugged piece of equipment of low volume which permits the diver to work in very confined quarters. The hood is held to ... morethe Comex demand mask with an adjustable metal band that compresses the hood and mask together. When so adjusted. It holds the mask firmly in place so as to minimize any risk of accidental dislodgement. This outfit is not equipped with quick-release buckles, however, the mask and hood can be quickly remover with the use of the four tightening bolts found on the lower neck ring, if so equipped. This early piece of underwater diving history is not marked with any manufacturer identification information; however. A previous owner has marked it with the following: AQUA MARINE BB 228-699-353 on the left and outside of the metal neck-ring. The hood is to be fitted to the mask and then held tightly to the head by a rubber five finger head strap harness assembly. The straps are adjusted using holes in them and by hooking them over metal latching dogs affixed to the mask. This mask hood could be used as a free flow by removing the 2 nd stage regulator and opening the hoods exhaust valve although it’s not equipped with any type of air control valve. Thank you for looking in on my auctions. This auction is for a used rare 6 bolt Siebe Gorman diving helmet. As with all the diving equipment I have ever sold you must satisfy yourself that it is fit for diving by a qualified person. As it is old I have taken a few photos so you can see exactly what you are buying. You will see on the photos that it is used and has the odd dent or two as you normally get. The top and bottom are matching numbers which are 13260. Also the numbers on the brailes are the same so a really nice helmet. As you will see it all comes apart nicely, the side windows have numbers on which are 609 with 60 underneath, again both matching. You may or may not be able to see but also above the number on the corselet the letters GT are stamped in it.It will also have the wooden stand with it which you will see in the photo`s. ... moreOne of these sold a couple of weeks ago for just short of £5000 on ebay. ACE Canoe Helmet vintage Cave Diving
You are bidding on a vintage ACE canoe or kayak helmet made by A.C. Canoe Products Ltd. Made in England. I believe this is the AP1000 model no longer made. One size fits all(features size adjustable inner webbing) Originally worn by canoeists. These helmets are now being used by cave divers in the UK and elsewhere.
