The large one which measures slightly over 4" inches wide and the others are right around 3" They also have some bubbles present and some swirling which I tried to show in the pictures. These are very consistent with some of the more decorated Japanese floats. The person I got them from actually said that their father likely brought them back from Japan. As he spent 3 years there. I will leave that up to the purchaser to decipher though as I am not an expert on these items. Has some great character and obviously saw much time wondering the Pacific ocean before landing on Hawai'i's ... moreshores. Its circumference is about 8" And measures about 2-3/8" diameter. From what I understand. This particular stamp is the symbol for the word" Kawaguchi" which means"rivermouth" these floats are manufactured by the Kawaguchi Glass K.K. There is a weird shaped polygon(almost like the island of Hawai’i reversed) Though the start and ending lines do not touch. It almost seems like it could be a crack. As you can feel the edges as you run your finger along the lines. But placing pressure. Tapping on the section etc. shows no give or sound that would represent a crack. There’s s similar 5/8” long horizontal“almost” L” shape line that has similar edge to it. Don’t think it’s a crack either. The 3 stamps seem to be partially missing due to chips at seem or faint stamping. Though are pretty definitely obvious for the parts that are visible and remaining. There are maybe a dozen air bubbles visible though 1/16" and smaller. There's about 4 chips on the seals edge. The largest about 3/16" long, most are a tad sharp to the touch. Overall a fine specimen of the smaller size glass floats which are much rarer than the larger and more common 3"4" variety. These glass floats are all original and are as found. and have the usual wear, bumps and impact abrasions from surfing the big waves found here. T his Authentic vintage glass fishing float was found on Hokkaido Island of northern Japan. Cricket ball sized Blue/Green float with 2 spindles both of which start at the seal button and ex tend to the base. One spin dle is finer than the other. Both are int act. Float is in natural fibre. Intact net. No symbol or mark on the seal button. Float measures 3" in diameter. No cracks or chips except those to the seal button as you would expect in a vintage float. I always photograph the floats against white in an attempt to get a clear picture and true a colour as possible. Authentic 2-3/8" Japanese Glass Ball Float ~ With Square & 3 Line Marks Stamp
This old float is original hand blown. Has some great character and obviously saw much time wondering the Pacific ocean before landing on Hawai'i's shores. Its circumference is about 8" And measures about 2-3/8" diameter. From what I understand. This particular stamp is the symbol for the word" Kawaguchi" which means"rivermouth" these floats are manufactured by the Kawaguchi Glass K.K. There is a weird shaped polygon(almost like the island of Hawai’i reversed) Though the start and ending lines do not touch. It almost seems like it could be a crack. As you can feel the edges as you run your finger along the lines. But placing pressure. Tapping on the section etc. shows no give or sound that would represent a crack. There’s s similar 5/8” long horizontal“almost” L” shape line that has similar edge to it. ... moreDon’t think it’s a crack either. The 3 stamps seem to be partially missing due to chips at seem or faint stamping. Though are pretty definitely obvious for the parts that are visible and remaining. There are maybe a dozen air bubbles visible though 1/16" and smaller. There's about 4 chips on the seals edge. The largest about 3/16" long, most are a tad sharp to the touch. Overall a fine specimen of the smaller size glass floats which are much rarer than the larger and more common 3"4" variety. These glass floats are all original and are as found. and have the usual wear, bumps and impact abrasions from surfing the big waves found here. RARE Vintage Japanese Handblown Glass Fishing Float Bouy
Offering 1 float as pictured The vintage glass float pictured above was found beach combing in Bristol Bay. Alaska. It is approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter with a 10 3/4 in circumference. This one is made of heavy glass with two overlapping large bubbles and small bubbles throughout. There is a faint hint of net etching visible on one side. It is aqua green in color and has a large well formed button on the inside of the float at the seal. The makers mark is elaborate and detailed with figures stamped on all four sides of the seal. Please view the photos. I have operated a salmon fishing camp there for the past 33 summers and spent the 3 summers prior to that exploring Bristol Bay. I love to beach comb and find these floats after storms wash them ashore. I am selling my entire collection. Each has made an incredible journey over many ... moreyears crossing the Pacific and the Bering Sea. I do know that many of these arrived on the Bristol Bay shores long ago since current storms that pound the coast line will wash them out of sand dunes where they have been buried under 20 to 30 feet of sand for who knows how long. Since these are found in remote areas. Some have sat on the beach exposed to the constantly blowing sand and have been etched on the side facing the prevailing wind sometimes leaving a pattern of the netting that once covered them. Others have rolled and tumbled thru some incredibly rocky areas and safely reached shore. This sometimes results in the seal button on the bottom having small nicks along the edge. Those that have been stranded and set afloat or rolled by the wind exposed to multiple storms have all sides sand blasted to a frosty appearance. Still others are sparkling clear. Some are very heavy glass with many bubbles I know very little history concerning the specific glass blowers and their marks so. Can not provide much detailed information regarding the significance or the various markings. The winner can check them out and make there own determinations.

SUPER RARE SMALLEST NW GLASS FLOAT AMBER BALL (#400)
This is the rarest and smallest of sizes for the NW glass floats. This is a NorthWest Glass 3+1/2" tall float made in Seattle. Washington in the 1940s. It is the smallest of the NW glass. The pontil knob has NO chips on the edge or knob. There are very minor scratches. The bottom has markings but they are not legable. No chips or cracks! This is a 5.01 inch diameter(tall or wide) or 15.75 inch circumference(around) glass fishing float ball. It is marked with an incomplete star mark. Some of the center of the star has sunk into the sealing button making it hard to tell which star mark this is. First 5 inch float we have ever found with a star mark. It has no chips to the sealing button on the float. The glass has 100% frosted surface to the glass. There are no cracks! This is a great float!
