Dial and dial backing plate presumed ... moremanufactured by Seth Thomas in the U.S.A. The 5-3/4" diameter 12 hour dial with Roman numerals originally had a silvered finish; the finish is worn through to brass and there are only remnants of the painted lettering. The words. SETH THOMAS" are written on the dial between the 2 winding holes, although they are difficult to see. There is a slight 1/2" long crease/dent to the dial between the winding hole and the 11 o'clock position. The seconds register is just below the number XII with the slow/fast time regulator just above the XII; with the STRIKE on/off slot located at the 9 o'clock position. The brass plated steel movement support plate has 4 standoffs on the rear with which to attach a movement. The 3 holes line up for mounting it to the three case brackets. There are 6 holes in both the backing plate and the dial are in the same locations. Although the holes in the dial are are not the correct corresponding size; they are a smaller diameter. The case is brass with a nickel finish which is worn and has a light corrosion throughout. There are mounting holes located at the 4. 8 and 12 o'clock position. The hinged bezel has a flat spring latch which secure the bezel in the closed position. A couple of the screws are mismatched and there is a missing nut. The case measures 7" in diameter X 4" deep. The case has scratches and discoloration due to wear to the nickel plating. And a dent to the top side. The case has a perforated screen at the 6 o'clock position so that the sound of a strike might be heard. The glass which covers the dial area is in good condition. The inner nickel plated bezel has a great finish; although it has 3 bends to the lower lip at the 2. 4 and 6 o'clock positions; presumed from incorrect screw sizes installed in the past. Antique English Ship Clock c1932 Smith Astral made in Coventry
A Henry Williamson c1904 works made in Coventry which also used the Astral name encased in brass by Smih. Williamson was purchased by Smith in 1930 and in 1932 Astral was used under Smith and 156 noted a model with a sweeping second hand. The following was also found in my research When H Williamson Ltd started to produce clocks in 1902 at Salisbury they adopted as a trade mark a drawing of a clock key with the name Salisbury inscribed on the wings of the key. When in 1910 production was moved to Coventry. After the fire at Salisbury, the trade mark was amended to show Coventry on the key. H Williamson Ltd made clocks of many types and qualities and in particular produced a range of clocks which they called"ASTRAL. Those of you who collect nautical pieces will have much more knowledge than myself I have placed the dating to the best ... moreof my research using the model numbers. For sale is an authentic reproduction of a late 19th century Ship Clock Maritime Clock antique clock faithfully reproduced from the original. The clock measures 11 1/2" diameter overall including the hinge and thumbscrew latch and is 3 1/2" deep. Glass lens protects the dial. The clock bezel is made of solid machined cast brass(not sheet) And the housing is cast in aluminum and painted matte black. The clock weighs about 6 lbs. The only difference besides about 120 years between this clock and the original is that aluminum is used for the case instead of cast iron, which is simply too heavy, and the clock has been updated with an accurate USA made quartz movement which will run for one year on a fressh AA battery, included. This is a old Seth Thomas wall clock that was made in thomaston. Conn. U.S.A. That was before they moved in 1975. I don't know the exact year. I looked and could not find this clock so it might be rare. It has a metal gold eagle on top with a glass piece in the center with a anchor and eagle in the middle. The bottom also has a glass piece with two sailboats at war, one being American. The clock itself has a glass and metal porthole that opens. It looks like it took a special battery in the back that uses a alternating current of 110-125 volts 160 cycles with mov't No 1420 2.5 watts.04 amps. So I don't know it the clock works. Looks like a ships bell alarm clock but what do I know? The clocks dial is covered over by glass with a brass bezel and it's missing the hands to the clock as you can see. This clock is kind of beat up and not running so you are buying it"as is" I’ll try to take a bunch of photo’s to try to show you what you are bidding on exactly. Measures 12 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 3 inches deep including the wooden base. Only markings I see are on the dial which says“Germany” although I’m unsure who the exact maker was back then. Antique J. Scott& Son Newcastle on Tyne Ship Clock. German W&H Movement. This sale is for an antique ship/bulkhead clock manufactured by J. Scott& Son of Newcastle-on-Tyne. England. The movement has the manufacturer's mark W&H Sch. which indicates the movement was manufactured by Winterhalder& Hofmeier Schwarzenbach, Black Forest, Germany. The trademark W&H Sch. was registered in 1927 but was also used prior to its registration. I estimate the age to be early 1920s. The movement appears to be complete, but is not working. The mainspring is good, the jeweled escapement needs work, the hairspring seems to be good but the pallet fork has issues, likely a broken jewel. The case is brass, there are a few scratches on the glass. The door closes tightly and is securely attached. There is a nice celtic pattern on the back ... moreof the case. For sale is a nice reproduction of an antique double sided brass clock. Advertising a French Restaurant in Paris. This clock is new old stock, from parts stored and recently assembled. The clock body is made of solid sheet brass, and by itself weighs 5 1/2 lbs. The lenses on the two hinged bezels are glass. The clock can rotate on the bracket, for viewing from different angles. Perfect for hallway, kitchen, restaurant, or other location which permits viewing from two sides. The hanging bracket is iron with antique finished redwood supports. Solid brass fittings hold the clock to the wood and iron bracket. Bracket can be attached to the wall with two long screws. The two clock movements are quartz AA battery type, made in USA. Up for auction is this Antique Jerome& Co. 30 Hour Ogee Wood Mantle/Wall Clock. This clock is for parts or repair. The clock is in good cosmetic condition. The case of the clock is made out of wood. There are no cracks or repairs anywhere in the wood case of the clock. The wood does show the normal signs of use with minor surface scratches but nothing to take away from its appearance. The clock appears to have its Original Glass. The bottom piece of glass is reverse painted. The painting is of a Ship scene with a lighthouse on the shore. The paint is in Good condition with little wearing. I do not know if the dial of the clock is original or not. The dial of the clock is a white painted dial on metal. The dial has black Roman numerals for hour markers. The clock comes with its hands. The original paper label is still intact on the inside ... moreof the case of the clock. The label is still very legible and easy to read. I do not know if the clock works or not as I do not have the weights for the clock. The original rope that holds the weights are present on both pulleys of the clock. The clock is also supposed to strike a gong on the hour. The movement of the clock is brass. Antique 19th cent. Ship's Wheel Metalieke Barometer Clock - Richard Paris Brass
Offered for auction is this lovely antique clock/barometer instrument with French Richard movement. The brand name seems to be a"Metalieke" Barometer. Shows gold metal and exhibition patents by mark for 1849 and 1851 respectively. Glass back shows brass movement. An inner mark reads(as best as I can tell) Compose 7171 Richard Paris and an outer mark reads"Richard Paris 211" There are screws that- when removed. Allow hinged glass front and back to be removed, but I have not done this. I do not have a proper clock key for this piece and hence I will not be fooling with any of the mechanisms ahead of sale. The writing on the barometer face is in Dutch and I would suspect that this may be a French company that marketed this instrument in different languages for different markets. Hardwood ships wheel style surround is the ... moresetting for the instrument itself. And it shows a brass ring inset into the hardwood pieces. One spoke of the ships wheel is loose and just needs a little glueing to put it right- no cracks or breaks here just loose. Up for auction. I have a vintage Seth Thomas ships clock. The clock is currently running and comes with what looks like the original key. The clock was painted at some point. I tried to remove a little off of the metal part of the case and it seems to have a chrome like finish underneath. The dial has wear. It still chimes, but it's very tinny. Not sure if thats how its supposed to sound, but if not, I'm sure the hammers just need to be adjusted. The glass on the front is broken as well. I can remove it before shipping if you want, but wasn't sure if removing it would effect the value, so I left it as is. Came from a local estate in Upstate New York. When Erhard Junghans. Founder of the Junghans factory, died in 1876, his widow's son in law, Paul Landenburger, who had acted as business manager for Junghans, left to start his own factory Named Landenburger and Lang. Antique Brass Ship Vacuum Gage Clock
An antique Vintage Old Ship vacuum gage turned into a Clock. The clock mechanism does or did work but it ticks but does not keep accurate time. I believe the battery operated mechanism needs to be replaced. At 11 and 11-1/2 inches diameter pounds this is a very well made Gage at it's time. It says US Gauge Co. on the front. Solid brass construction. Nice threads to seperate to get to the inside, glass front and tygon tubing seal.

For sale is a beautiful authentic solid aluminum and brass Ships clock. Nautical clock, steam punk clock. The case is made of heavy cast aluminum, 3/16" thick. It is painted in a matte black finish. The 11" solid cast brass bezel holds a glass lens which is held in place with a steel ring clip, not glue. The clock measures 3 1/2" from wall. The bezel is attached on one side with a heavy hinge, and is released on the other by a heavy brass thumbscrew. The vintage Atlantic Steam Navigation Co. dial is laminated to a wood substrate and fixed to the case with three screws. The clock weighs in at just under 6 lbs. See the photos. Only buying the Number 349 clock. I can find no information about the Elgin 349 timepieces. Excellent looking timepiece! I have wound this timepiece and it runs. ANTIQUE SMITHS ENFIELD SHIP'S CLOCK CASE ROYAL NAVY NAUTICAL MARITIME
This is an antique ship's clock case. Dial, crystal and hands, from the Smiths Enfield Co. London. It is a solid, heavy brass case. Stamped on the side of the case is"MADE FOR ROYAL NAVY LONDON 1920" The case is in very good condition, no dents or bends, and most, if not all, of the marks(dirt and such) will polish right out if you care to have it shiny. The heavy beveled glass crystal and brass bezel that surrounds it are hinged, and swing open by pulling the small rod at the nine o'clock position. Dial and crystal are also in very nice condition. The case measures 6" across the front, 7 1/2" across the back.

Antique Circa 1915 Chelsea Brass Ship's Clock Working with Key. This is a stunning Antique Brass Chelsea Ship's Bell Clock in working condition. This clock was issued to the Louis Weule Company out of San Francisco. The serial numbers on the case and the movement match. 124355, which dates this clock between 1915 and 1919. As mentioned the dial is stamped with"Louis Weule Co. San Francisco" and"Ship's Bell" There is also a control on the dial for speeding up or slowing down the clocks time. The clock measures 7.25" across the top of the brass hinged bezel and 3.75" in depth. The hinge and bezel are in excellent working condition with no cracks or chips in the glass. The release button on the side also works perfectly. The bottom of the brass case is stamped with the serial number 124355 and Chelsea ... moreClock Co. Boston. U.S.A. It is very hard to give up. It makes such a great bell sound. I ncluded with the clock is the Chelsea Key and an Antique Mantle Stand for the clock. When we purchased this clock from an Estate it was mounted by a wire on a board in the gentleman's kitchen. We made the stand for the clock out of an Antique Sessions Tambour mantle clock case. It looks great on a mantle. Shelf or anywhere you would like to place this beautiful piece of history. This is a stunning piece of Chelsea Clock Company history as well as Maritime history.
