The lid is huge and beutifully decorated. The hinge works perfectly and the sterling lid is secure to the bottle. The inside of the lid still retains it's nice gold wash. There is a dent to the lid as you will see in the photos. The bottle is free of chips. Cracks& repairs. However, whatever liquid used to be stored in this bottle has left a residue to the top 1/4 of the bottle. It has also left the rest of the bottle with an slightly iridescent cast to it. Very strange but you will see what I mean in the photos. This is one of those bottles you almost pass up but then just due to it's size and lovely details in the lid and cut glass you decide it's worth the trouble. I have not attempted to remove the"residue" so perhaps some of it will come off ~ I do not know. I have broken too many a bottle while trying to scrub them up. So now just a light dusting and if they are presentable- I leave the major cleaning to you. The bottle is heavy and I imagine just the silver lid alone would be worth a bit of money. The lid is 2 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches across at the widest. Shoot. Just the lid is as big as some sterling silver bottles alone! The total height of the bottle(lid& glass) is 6 1/4 inches tall and the width across the widest part is 3 1/2 inches. Just so you know what a conversation piece it is.when my daughter asked what used to be in the bottle I told her it was probably"the potion of some Mad Victorian Era Scientist.maybe Frankenstien himself" I couldn't resist having a little fun at her expense. This has a very heavy silver overlay which you can feel on the inside of the top lip and where it has worn through on the bottom. The bottle is completely covered in silver and hand etched with flowers and what looks like a g. This is in very good condition except where the bottom has worn through and has not been polished but will shine up beautifully if desired. This is approximately 5" across x 3 1/2" tall. It did not come with a stopper. The opening is approximately 5/8" The bottom of the bottle is hollow ground which leads me to believe that the bottle was hand blown. Please see pic's for condition. Circa 1920-1930 Perfume Bottle Made in France! This Mini Perfume Bottle Still has the Original French Perfume in it! The Silver Cover is enhanced with a Turquoise Glass Stone and it is in Sound Secure Condition. Without flaw! This French perfume bottle maintains it's original little Glass Dauber and it is still in Great Shape, Secure and Usable. The Lid or"Top" screws off and on just as smoothly as it should! Remember when removing the top to pull the dauber straight up, as to avoid breaking it. The bottom of the bottle is marked Made in France! The shield protects the black amethyst glass! This little French bottle measure a mere 1¼ inches with it's top in place. It measures ¾ of an inch from side to side and has a depth of ¼ inch from front to back. Antique Sterling Silver Overlay and Glass Perfume Bottle D1887 Hallmarked LOOK!!
Perfume Bottle For your consideration is an antique perfume bottle. The bottle is made out of glass and has a sterling silver overly with a floral design. The silver at the bottom is marked"D1887" and then a lion. An anchor, and another hallmark I cannot identify. The silver on the top stopper is marked"DEC" It stands roughly 4.25 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide. There are a couple small chips on the bottom of the stopper where it goes into the bottle. Other than the that there are no chips. Cracks, breaks, repairs, or damage that I can see. I am not sure the exact age of this but it is definitely older. Possibly from the 1800s. Antique RUBY RED GLASS Perfume Bottle & Clear Stopper STERLING SILVER OVERLAY
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a ruby red glass perfume bottle with sterling silver overlay. It needs a little polishing as it is straight from storage to eBay. No cracks to the bottle neck. No chips or cracks to the glass bottle. The stopper is clear with sterling silver overlay but likely not the original stopper. It does fit the bottle well and has only a few fleabites to the end. The sterling silver is of a good thickness. As you can see in the photos, and I do not find any breaks or missing sterling overlay. The sterling overlay to the stopper is likewise in excellent condition. The red glass appears clear and clean- no haziness at all. There is a cartouche in front that is monogramed. Up for sale is this gorgeous perfume bottle with the stopper. This is made of a crystal glass with a Sterling Silver overlay design in the Art Nouveau style. It is marked"sterling" The piece measures 4 1/2” tall and 1 5/8” wide. It is in wonderful condition with no chips. English perfume bottle with sterling silver top and hand cut crystal glass base. 4" tall and 2" max tapering up diameter. Chased silver top has flowers. Leaves and vine design. Small evidence of wear and use and not recently polished, Stopper is missing, otherwise is in very good condition. English Assay Hall marks are: C.M. in rectangle: Maker name not found) Anchor for Birmingham, Date letter: p' in lozenge shape for date(1864) and Lion passant- rampant for English sterling silver mark. Silver weight not determinable. The crystal glass base is hand cut all over with small octagonal'hobnails' and star forms. Under the base is a hand cut star burst. NB: Small chip on edge of base. NB: Old perfume aroma can still be detected.

For sale an Early 20th Cent. Art Nouveau style Sterling Silver and Glass Perfume Bottle in excellent condition. Item comes from my Great-Grandmother's estate. She was the sole owner of this lovely artifact. Stands 5' x 11' at it's widest point, this gem has not been cleaned or altered in anyway. I have posted a number of pics. per the maker's mark; there are two sets of characters. The first is either"06HM" or"OGHM. The other appears to be two different characters however they are rather worn hence difficult to read. Antique Henry Perkins & Sons Perfume Bottle Glass & Sterling Silver Hallmarked
Lovely old crystal perfume bottle with a sterling silver band around the neck. Made of heavy lead crystal. It measures 3 3/4" without stopper, approx. 5 1/2" with stopper. The base measures 2 1/2" across. The initials"H.P.S. are engraved on one side of the silver band(British company, Henry Perkins& Sons) along with the date letter"n" and a lion and shield emblem. Research tells me it is from the early 1900's. On the opposite side of silver band there is an oval cartouche, usually for personal initials to be engraved, but it is blank. There is a dent in the silver on the cartouche(see photos) In great shape.the only finding is on the inside edge of the opening.there is a"roughness" which may have been present when originally made. Also a tiny bit of roughness around the bottom frosted edge of ... morethe stopper. Wonderful condition for age. Beautiful! The jar has a neat wreath design etched on the side and it has a sterling silver lid that’s marked sterling at the rim. The lid is covered in a very fine baby blue guilloche enamel with white accents. The inside has a very tight fitting lid that is stuck in there right now. And I didn’t want to force it. Lovely cut glass crystal cylinder and floral embossed sterling silver hinge topped perfume bottle is engraved with the date 49-99. I have maintained the majority of the original patina on the sterling silver hinged top which is in full working order with a tight closure. There is minor interior residue.
