This little bottle is a mystery. The top of this has a very precise pouring lip. When I bought it I thought maybe it was a flaw in the glass neck. But the more I look at it the more I think it was made this way. There’s no indication that this was ever covered by a metal collar. But it will be for someone else to solve. It could possibly be older then the 1940's. It has no makers mark. And. The remnant perfume smells really nice. A flowery baby powdery sort of smell, very 1940's. Smells old. The color is a true pink, the color is smelted into the glass during the smelting process. Piece stands 4 1/4" from the base to the top of the brass atomizer. The bottle by its self stands 2 1/2" in height. The opening of the bottle measures 3/4" outer rim edge to outer rim edge. The bottom measures 1 1/2" The atomizer stands 1 3/4" in height. The bottle is made of dark green glass with enamel-painted satin glass sides featuring clear cut windows. The top of the perfume bottle is made of brass with nickel plating and it has three emerald jewels inset into the metal. The tip of the perfume bottle is also adourned with a single emerald jewel. The bulb for the atomizer is missing. But these can be found and attached if desired. They often deteriorated through the years and broke apart. The bottle stands approximately 4 5/8" tall, and the top still easily unscrews to add perfume. Item Condition: The overall condition of the bottle is excellent. If you are a collector you know that these bottles are very high quality. Made during the 1920's This bottle is so captivating and towering in height. the gold hardware has a amber glass acorn jewel at the top. The bottle its self is gold with blue glass. major color is gold and the blues are thru out but shows more blue on the top and around the foot/ base. It glows wonderfully.breath taking. Antique /Vntg SPECKLED & SWIRLED GLASS Perfume Bottle Atomizer ? FRANCE ? ITALY
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a lovely bottle made of speckled& swirled glass. It has colors of red. Orange and ivory. No makers marks or stamps that I can see. My best guess would be French or possibly Italian. This is a blown glass item with only a small indentation on the bottom where the pontil was. When looking at the bottom it appears the glass has layers. There is a clear, frosted glass outer casing and the colors appear to be applied from the inside. Most like it has a clear glass inner layer we just can't see. So the colors are in between the 2 clear layers. I have seen vases made this way so I am just guessing that is how this is made as well. This would be c. late 1800's- early 1900's. The internal syphon tube is metal and intact. The silver tone metal ... morecollar does have some scratches- certainly a well used item. The glass bottle is in excellent condition with chips, cracks or repairs noted. I have added a gold bulb and when I squeeze it I do feel light puffs of air come out. The bottle is 5 1/4 inches tall to the top of the atomizer and it is 2 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest part, which is near the bottom.
