Gilt lettering on front cover. Marbled endpapers. 17 by 14 inches. Title continues: Accompanied by Descriptions Geographical, Historical, Scientific, and Statistical. Upon collating, I find that two leaves are missing, between pp 149 and 153. Many of the pages/leaves are blank, with no page numbers, but are"counted" as though they were, so it's a bit difficult, but this is what it seems, at any rate. Folded in the center with the Back side of the map showing the map of Nebraska on one page and the back side of the other page has a map of Dakota. The Dakota map shows the Mauvaises Terres or Bad Lands and many Indian nations and reservations. CONDITION: Texas Map is in good condition with normal age tanning and some corner and edge wear as can be expected for 138 years old. The map has Bright color and vivid text. The maps of Nebraska and Dakota have some foxing and age staining as can be seen in the pictures. The Texas map bleeds through the maps of Dakota and Nebraska making the two maps look stained.
