Rare and Awesome Pair Of Danish Modern Modeline Style Mid Century Floor Lamps
Listed is a pair of FANTASTIC Danish Modern style floor lamps measuring 61 inches tall to the top of the finial. They are made of solid wood.Probably walnut with a decorative brass sleeve going through the middle of the frames. There are a couple of things that need to be noted. The cords look new yet are kind of short measuring 55 inches and 35 inches respectively, one of the brass sleeves is in two parts and one is a single piece, there are no finials or shades included and there is a slight variation in the color of the wood that is really only slightly noticable when the lamps are next to each other. The on/off switches are different yet both work fine. These were hard to get good pictures and the wood is a little lighter that it looks in the ad. Please examine our photos closely and consider them to be part of the description and documentation ... moreof condition. (2) Vintage Trench Art Lamps made from M43 81mm Mortar Rounds on Piston Base
Here is your chance to pick up(2) trench art lamps made in the 1940's. The are made from(2) M43 81 MM Mortar Shells and the bases are pistons from the same time period. These are REAL Mortar Rounds that were made safe and used to make these lamps. The rounds have been chromed to match the piston base. I cannot identify the pistons but they are probably from a military vehicle from the 1940's and are in good shape. Both lamps work and both are in great shape. These were made really well and I have provided pictures showing the holes made for the electrical cord as well as the vintage power cord end. The mortar rounds are marked Lot 15- 47- 3FA 81 MM M43 EDB and were roll marked as they did in the 40's. The lamps are 15 inches tall and the piston base is 6 inches wide. Here is a little information on the M43 81MM Mortar: The first ... moreattempt to obtain more efficient trench mortar ammunition was with the development of the 75-mm smooth bore mortar in which the old 75-mm French type shell was modified by tapering the shell from the bourrelet back to the base. And fitting an aluminum fin in the base of the shell. The round was propelled by means of an ignition cartridge inserted in a short cartridge case, and with propelling increments inserted between the blades of the fin. The stability of the round was not satisfactory, and the development was abandoned. A streamlined projectile with fin assembly was then designed for the 3-inch trench mortar with poor results. Several attempts were made with shell of different contours, but proved unsatisfactory because proper stability was not obtained. After World War I. There was an early trend away from the low powered, muzzle-loading Stokes mortar to breech and rifled mortars which were mounted on wheels. The muzzle velocity, the range, and the weight increased, but in so doing, the effectiveness of the trench mortar was decreased in that it lost its simplicity. Up for auction is the Empire light as seen in auction photos. Measures approx 12" high. I purchased this light at an Estate Auction. I only see on the bottom PAT. 11-22-21 USA. The light is in very good condition with cloth cord and old type plug. The glass color is a nice carmel streaks of milky white and brown opaque with ripply texture characteristic of art glass. It has a pull chain. The lamp frame is made of some sort of cast metal. The base is solid cast metal there are some small marks on it from normal wear but is in great condition. This is a beautiful. Rare, antique, solid mahogany floor lamp with custom made shade. It has a twist mahogany pole(larger at the top, smaller on the bottom) and carved acanthus leaf detail on the base with claw and ball feet. I purchased this lamp from an antique dealer about 10 years ago for $800, and then had the shade made for it at an additional cost. It is beautiful and in great condition except for a small crack at the base as pictured. Recently I saw a 1920's barley twist lamp that was not nearly as nice as this, no detail, not mahogany wood) selling for $500. I had the shade made for the lamp and it is signed by the maker. Set of Vintage 1930's-1940's Hurricane Lamps These are beautiful old lamps perfect for your collection! They are 12" tall with the red shades on. The shades measure 3 1/2" at their widest. The bases are glass and metal. The metal piece which holds the shade seems to be pressed tin. They are in excellent condition. There is a little bit of discoloration on the metal between the layers of glass. Both of these hurricane lamps were rewired by an antique professional in 2010. I have included a lot of photos because this light is far to incredible not to show every angle. This has all the Victorian charm you would expect from the Dillard M Smith Co. The hardware is all wrought iron. With 3 chains that meet in the center just above the 14 inch diameter shade. There is a decorative smoke bell at the top along with the matching wrought iron collar that sets loosely on top of the shade. There are many tear drop crystal prisms that adorn the bottom ring all the way around. Lastly the shade is Drop Dead Gorgeous! There are 4 raised/embossed grape cluster ... moreand leaves that wrap around the entire shade. The colors are even more beautiful in person. The bottom of the shade is signed Dillard M Smith Co. which is shown in the last photo. The Library Lamp measures about 18 inches tall to the top of the canopy. This is a ceiling mount style. The 14 inch shade when it sets in the ring is about 18 inches in total diameter. The condition is absolutely amazing for a lamp of this age. Beautiful 19th century Bradley& Hubbard electric lamp. The"globe" features a beautiful hand painted floral design. It looks like it came right out of Gone With the Wind! The lampshade is not original(please let me know if you would like it included or not) The lamp looks great but is not in completely perfect condition. The sides of the globe show a bit of wear. Fortunately there is little to no wear on the painted floral designs located on the front and back! Also. There is a stress crack on the base, likely related to it's age. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND PERFECT! Very large Fenton White Coin Dot Lamp. It is 28" tall from top to bottom. The globe on top measures 10 1/4" high. I am not sure if the chimney is original. It looks like it but again not sure. The bottom of the base is marked F-711. There are NO CHIPS OR CRACKS to this beautiful piece. Looks something like you would see in Gone With The Wind. Great detail to feet and middle, original turn key. Makes quite a statement in your home! Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. Returns, however, will not be accepted, due to the high costs(and risk of damage) incurred when shipping fragile valuable items back and forth. The lamp is quite heavy and I'm not sure how much it will cost to ship. Once it's been carefully packed for shipment. Vintage Hollywood Regency Pair (2) Neoclassical Column Brass & Marble Lamps
NO E-CHECKS PLEASE. A beautiful pair if column lamps in very good as found as shown condition. Both blink on and off and will need new sockets. No chips of cracks on the marble. The metal parts appear to be brass but i am not certain. A magnet is not attracted to these. The harps on these do not match. Up for Auction A Vintage/Collectable Milk Glass Beaded Electric Lamp This electric lamp is of milk glass and the classic beaded design. It appears to have been stored for awhile. But still functions great. The electric plug is missing[I tested it on an extension cord] The brass has a few places of tarnish. The glass is in good condition. No chips or dings that I can find. Good Heavy Quality Victorian Cut Crystal Oil Lamp Font - No Collar
This auction is for a good heavy quality. Victorian drop-in or free-standing cut crystal glass oil lamp font without an oil lamp burner collar. The font stands 4.5"11.2 cm tall. It is 5.25"13.3 cm across the widest part of the top. The base measures 4.5"11.5 cm in diameter and the measurement just under the lip of the widest point is a little over 4.5"11.6 cm. Condition is very good with no chips or cracks to the glass. Now I found this quite dirty and am still having a hard tme getting it clean in the patterns. Since it needs to be taken apart to rewire it I will leave the scrubbing cleaning to new owner so it can be soaked in sudsy water.I think it is just years and years of layered house ... moregrime.
