You can adjust the light socket to come in or go out with a turn of a toggle nut. The lamp is turned on and off with a slide at the socket. The cord is approx.142"long and come into the light socket allowing you to drape it around or through the lamp anyway you would like. The cord is not original to the lamp and looks fairly new and in good condition. Lamp is in very good condition. Works great. Base does have some White paint speckles on it. There is some scratches in the paint and base feet are just starting to show rust. Lamp is in need of good cleaning.

This is a very interesting wrought iron floor lamp circa 1950's. I did not find a signature but it is of abstract style. It is in excellent condition and works great. It measures 59" high and 27" wide. The shade is 14" in diameter.
