This auction is for an electric lamp with a slag glass shade. The base is marked 831 on the underside. The base is cast iron with a finish over it. The other parts are not iron. Some wear and/or small chips to the finish. Measures 16 1/2" assembled. The shade itself is 6 1/2" tall and the opening is 7" across. Some rough areas and chips on the edges of the glass pieces but nothing that shows from the outside and no cracks, some scratches or scuffs on the outside, the metal hides any edge damage. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Antique Vintage Cast Iron Green Stained Slag Glass Angel Cherub Table Lamp
You are bidding on a Vintage Table Lamp. I can find no maker's mark on the lamp itself. There was some information on the old socket. But I think it was just the socket maker, and it has since been replaced with a new one. This lamp is about 22 inches tall with the shade on it. The base of lamp has a square that is about 7.5 x 7.5 inches. The shade is very heavy. It is made of a green stained/slag glass that is very heavy, but light still passes through it very nicely. It measures about 12 inches in diameter and it is about 7.5 inches tall. This lamp weighs a total of just under 12 pounds. When I found this lamp, the socket did not work so I took it to a lamp shop and had the socket replaced, the cord is still the same. The lamp works now just as it should. It has slide mechanism to turn it on or off. There is a finial on the top that ... moreyou remove by screwing it off and then you have access to remove the shade. The shade support is also removeable by pinching the two sides and it comes out of the groove by design. Condition- It is pre-owned and well used. The metal parts of the base and shade have oxidation and discoloration but that definitely adds a nice patina to the piece. The inner glass is intact. There could be a few small flea bites where the glass jostles around because it is just held in place by metal prongs. The lamp works, as stated the socket is new, but the cord was left because I wanted to leave the lamp as original as possible. As far as the age of the piece, I really have no idea, my research has come up empty. It really is a beautiful lamp, and if nothing else, its definitely aesthetically pleasing to look at. DEEP REDUCTION IN PRICE. This is a beautiful lamp in the Art Nouveau. Early Art Deco Style. It is over 23" tall. Each of the 8 sides of the shade is 7" the total diameter is 16" I believe it is made out of cast iron, though it has some patina. Heavy. The glass shade is held together by ornately designed brass or bronze chevrons and ribbons. One of the ribbon is missing the top, but if you turn it towards the wall no one will ever notice. I would guess it to be from the first years of the 20th century from the time when the great(and expensive) Tiffany and Handel lamps were made. It is very unique, as most antiques are. A lovely antique slag glass lamp with signed gilt cast iron base and original matching finial. The six sided shade has ornate filigree over the glass. The lamp retains original red and green paint on the glass within the filigree work. The lamp is in good condition. The cord is falling apart. So the lamp must be rewired. There is wear and tarnish throughout the metal finish commensurate with age. I can't make out the first part of the mark on the underside that finishes with"NEW YORK. Surface rust on the underside of the base. The lamp measures 22 inches tall and the shade is 15 inches diameter. The base measures just over 6" diameter. Antique slag glass / leaded glass table lamp base LARGE cast iron complete
Up for bid is this early 1900's table lamp base. It is cast iron. Heavy and ornate. 23 inches tall without finial. Finish appears original and needs restored. Finial is not original. 3 1/8 shade fitter plus 1/8 inch lip. Sockets with pulls appear original but I do not know if they work but they work freely. There is no cord on the lamp. I cannot find a signature so maker is unknown to me but is very well made with detail. This is a great base for a restoration project. Offered to lower 48 states only. Thank you.

Very nice lamp by Edward Miller. I do not know if the slag glass shade is original to the piece but the hardware fittings seem to fit perfectly. Base is marked and numbered#1161(style) Base has original patina. All other hardware appears to be original and is oxidized and will need to be cleaned or refinished. Nice project lamp! Shade is damaged in that two slag glass pieces are missing. Should be and easy repair for a stained glass artisan. The cream/brown colored slag glass is not super hard to find. Up for auction is a very Unique Vintage One-of-a-Kind Slag Glass Cheetah Table Lamp. I believe the black is cast iron as it is very heavy. The Slag glass is beautiful Caramel. Orange and White and when it is all lit up, it glows. The maker is unknown as I do not see any markings. There is one area of the Cheetah's spot missing on the Cheetah's Hindquarter, but since it is at the back of the lamp, it is not noticeable. It can be fixed very easily. It is in overall very good condition. With the following exceptions: There are Minor wear marks here and there, Paint on base is chipped and has rust in spots(see pics) The Shade is SPELTER with NO BREAKS or CRACKS.
