H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago Reverse Painted or Slag Glass Panel Table LAMP BASE
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1910-1920s signed H A BEST LAMP CO Chicago. Ill USA lamp base- originally meant for a slag glass lamp. The ring diameter for the ring fitter would be approx 2-3/4" diameter. The lamp is very ornate and has the original antique gold finish. It stands approx 22" no including the finial which may or may not be the original but looks good together. It is in Very Good to Excellent Condition- No damages but a few minor manufacturing mold imperfections- a few small inclusions- basically what you see in pic#2- maybe a couple more but nothing thats any real big deal. No chips. No cracks, No repairs, its as it was from the factory. I am unsure if the sockets are original or not- The top caps have a bright yellowish tint but the bottoms look correct- I am not sure just pointing out what I see. This is a beautiful vintage large milk glass hand painted table lamp with roses. It is in very good condition except it has some paint wear on the grold stripe. It is very beautifully painted and does take a 3-way bulb. It is 32" to the top of the finial and 21" to the top of the socket. The base is 6 1/4" diameter. This is a very beautiful lamp! The harp is removable.

ANTIQUE SLAG GLASS OR REVERSE PAINTED BRONZE TABLE LAMP BASE WITH DOUBLE SOCKET
No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

Offering this amazing antique twin cupid lamp. Remarkably good condition. Approx 100 years old. Molded metal. Definitely not iron. Likely bronze. Eight panels of green slag glass. Gorgeous light in a dark room. Baskets. Butterflies and bound sticks decorate the shade. Shade is actually molded lead with gold paint. Some flecks of gold paint have fallen off over the years. The overall diameter of the glass part is 7 1/2" in diameter and is 7 3/4" high. The base is of cast iron. This elaborate parlor lamp is very old and likely the 1890's. J efferson reverse painted table lamp. The hand painted shade is 18 inches in diameter and is in mint condition. There are no chips or flakes on the edges and no fractures or cracks in the shade itself. The glass is decorated with an ice chip texture similar to the techniques used by Handel. Although not signed. Based on the design of the woodland scene this lanp has been identified as being part the Prince Charles group as pictured in the Millender books of lamp catalog and is referred to as number L1 888 Woodland Rd. it is also pictured on page 118 in Antique Lamp Buyers Guide by Nadja Maril; Schiffer Publishing. The double socket base appears to have been altered with a different finial top the rewired base measures 26" x 8.5" and there is some scratching and wear on the base as shown in the photos. Antique Pressed & Painted Glass Table Lamp,
Such an unusual old lamp made of heavy pressed glass which has been painted beige on the inside/underneath side and also painted with a light blue high-light to the textured'outside' of the glass. The edges and base of the stand and the shade are'scaloped' and the the exterior of the stand and shade are textured with tiny vertical'ribs' ridges. The glass and the paint are in pretty good condition. With some very light chips to the glass'ribs' here and there(very hard to see) It has the original cloth covered wire electrical cord which does have some wear and might need to re rewired. The piece measures 13 3/4"T x 7 1/4"W. Shipping includes tracking.

A Queen Anne#2 style burner and chimney are required to be fluid burning again. An electrified burner can be used to convert it to electricity. And the shade measures 18 inches in diameter with a 3 ¼ inch fitter. Both the shade and base are unmarked. But date to sometime in the 1920’s or 30’s. The base is a cast iron in composition and has the original painted bronze finish with a rich. Warm patina. The finish is nearly 100% with just a small loss around the edge of the base. The shade as mentioned is unmarked. The glass has a satin finish with a reverse painted decoration. This is a fantastic antique table lamp with copper stripe base. Original curved copper stripe socket arms and socket covers, large Weber switches, cap, and finial. The shade is satin glass with obverse(not reverse) hand painted surface. The picture includes three windmills on a hilly landscape, water with boats, and clouds in a smoky blue colored sky. The lamp is in very good condition overall with no chips or cracks in the glass(there might be a few tiny flakes around the top edge under the cap) the metal pieces look fantastic with light wear from age and use. There are a couple slight bends in the base around the bottom edge that are not very noticeable, and the cap has some scuffs in the finish, visible in the photos. Both sockets are working and there is a cloth covered cord in excellent condition that must have been replaced at some ... morepoint. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE REVERSE PAINTED SQUARE GLASS RIBBON SHADE ART NOUVEAU TABLE LAMP

Reverse painted lamp shades became popular around 1890-1910. The art of reverse painting can be traced back centuries. Particularly in Renaissance Italy where the process was admired and utilized to produce miniatures of religious subjects. As time moved on artisans from Austria and Poland perfected this skill, and some of those artisans were amongst the millions of immigrants who came to the United States in the late 1800's. The art of the reverse painted lamp shade became extremely popular in the United States. There were several distinguished companies that are generally associated with this process. Manufacturers such as Pairpoint. Handel, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, and Jefferson created beautiful ... morelamps in their time. THE LISTED LAMP: There is no makers mark found on this lamp. When lit it gives off a beautiful multi-colored glow. Highlighted by the pink ribbon drapery effect around the shade's corners and edges. Each of the four sides of the shade are different depictions of people engaged in different activities. The lamp itself is cast metal that has been finished in a brass color. The lamp measures 21" to the top of the finial. The shade is 13 1/4" square at the bottom corners. And it is about 6 1/4" high from the center of the bottom"drapes. And about 4 7/8" high at the corners. The lamp and shade combined weigh 12.0 pounds. CONDITION: There is some brass finish loss to the lamp. And a tiny crack in the pole metal as seen in photograph# 9. This does not affect the stability of the piece at all and it cannot be seen unless the shade is taken off and one looks very close. The shade is in good condition with no cracks. There is a little roughness to the under edges of the shade as seen in the last photograph. And a very small chip under one corner as seen in photograph# 11. The camera makes it look pronounced but one really has to look close

Size: Height 19" Diameter 9-1/2" The woman who sold it to me told me it was her mom's and did not know how old and from where it came. She thought it might have hand made. Light bulb and chimney are not included. The glass has no chips or cracks. The center brass body has fold lines see pictures. This lamp has been modified and might have been hand made because of the type of imperfections. The fold lines are not from falling otherwise I would see bumps and dents. Brass has some minor corrosion and scratches. Electrical cord has no cracks plug is good. The chimney holder is cut so it has spring action to hold the chimney. This is a stunning antique cast iron. Brass, and glass Victorian oil burning parlor lamp. the gold gilded iron base is nicely footed and is extremely ornate. the top of the base is a threaded female piece and holds the threaded oil font. this is a rare design and have not even seen one before, the font is made from a thick heavy milk glass and has nice embossed detailing wrapping the bottom. the top part is beautifully hand painted with nice color and composition depicting a floral scene. it has a brass badger burner on the top and a threaded lid to add oil. in nice shape and measures 10 1/4 inches by 6 1/4 inches. x… Thank you for visiting"Dusty Treasures" and please feel free to browse through my online ebay store where you can find several more wonderful items similar to this. It is made of milk glass with brass hardware with a vintage patina. It has a white background with hand painted roses in gold and pink. It is 19 inches tall. The globe is in excellent condition. But the shade has a crack as shown in the last photograph. The base almost appears to have faces of a lion roaring. The lamp is not heavy, but the pieces will be double boxed and will be over sized. Antique Art Deco Reverse Painted Glass Panel Boudor or Table Lamp
I have a wonderful boudoir or end table lamp. It is comprised of three curved glass panels that have scenes painted on the interior of the glass. They look to be of Asian gardens but 50 to 60 percent of the paint is missing so tough to tell. The outside of the glass is ribbed giving it a watery look and the cast metal has applied gold paint. Very ornate design with minor loss of paint to the exterior. Some darkening to the interior, top mostly, and the paint loss issue. Cord and plug has no switch, it just lights up when you plug it in. About 12" tall over all, 10" when top cap is removed and 4.25" diameter at its widest. Thanks for looking.
