This auction is for a superb quality. Hand blown, heavy cut glass/crystal oil lamp font that comes with a brass oil lamp burner 1.5"3.8cm screw collar. This has not been fitted. Victorian in date. The font weighs 600g unpacked. It measures 5.5"14cm diameter across the top and stands just under 4.5"11cm tall. It can either be free standing or sit in a 5.25"13.3cm drop in ring. Condition is excellent. It appears not to have been used much if at all. The foot shows very light signs of wear(see pic) and there are no chips or cracks. I have pictured two marks in the glass from when the font was originally blown. These are not chips or cracks. Antique Oil Lamp Cranberry Glass Cased Cut White Bohemian Moser Hnbd Painted 12"
A gleaming pristine beauty. It measures 12"h complete, including with the glass chimney fitted in place into the brass neck. Individually each unit measures 6"h. There is only a breath of wear to the gold trace line around its corseted waist. Widest diameter is 3 1/4" at just above its base. The true raised foot of the base measures 2 1/2" dia. It is truly a stunning yet subtle little charmer having all the elements of much bigger pieces but an eye catcher even among my art glass collection. I have had this for nearly forty years and always referred to it as a piece of Moser. It is however not marked. Nor are there any markings on the brass work either. Just conjecture. Antique Victorian Cut Glass Oil Lamp with shade font burner base circa 1890
Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. Condition: The lamp is pretty much in a perfect condition. The only fault is to the oil lamp shade. With minor fritting to the top and bottom. Please see the photos, they speak volumes.

Antique Hinks Brass Pillar Oil Lamp with Cut Glass Font. Hinks No 2 Burner& Chimney. This Hinks lamp is listed in the 1901-1902 Hinks catalogue on page 33 reference 3622. It consists on a brass pillar base(not Corinthian as there are no scrolls or decoration to top) marked to the base"J Hinks& Son" and"1781" The base is made with a thick gauge brass as can be seen in the pictures below. The best English cut glass font(hinks ref 192) is made with thick walls measuring nearly 1cm in thickness. The Hinks number 2 burner has a wheeled gallery raiser to allow easy lighting. CLARKES FAIRY CRICKLITE LAMP OIL CANDLE BASE CUP & GLASS DOME CUT PRESSED GLASS
Here we have a stamped original Victorian Clarke's Cricklite/Fairy Lamp type night-light holding base cup with its original matching glass dome(peg version for candlesticks etc. The lamps were used with night-light candles(similar to tea-lights of today but usually deeper) and sometimes a very small oil lamp in the place of a candle. The cup is made of clear pressed-glass imitating brilliant-cut crystal. The peg at the base has its often missing wooden'stump-like' mount around it to fit into a candle socket. The base measures 10cm diameter and is in excellent condition. The glass dome measures 8cm diameter at the bottom and 12 cm high approx. and is in very nice condition with a couple of nibbles from the top glass rim and some verdigree under the metal rim but I am sure this could be clean ed off- but does not detract in any ... moreway. There are a couple of bubbles in the glass from the original manufacture- a sign of its age. The gold band running around the bottom circumference is impressed with the Cricklite name. Victorian Oil Kerosene Lamp Blue Cased Cut Glass Font Fenton Coin Dot Ball Shade
Victorian Duplex Burner Kerosene Oil Lamp C. 1880-90 ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP. NOT A REPRODUCTION. The font is mold blown cased glass. Clear over blue. The clear surface is delicately wheel cut in a lace like pattern. The third photo shows the truest color) The font is mounted with a brass collar and tapered support that are cemented on. The lamp's base is brass with a iron under plate. The duplex burner's knobs are embossed with a globe emblem. The Fenton blown opaline coin dot glass shade is old, whether it is original to the base is unknowable but they have been together for some time. I have worked on antique lamps for over thirty years. I have not seen a similar font before. CONDITION: Surprisingly good. The font has not been drilled and has no problems. The brass elements have darkened with age and can be polished as brightly as ... moreyou desire. There is surface rust on the iron under plate. The burner was gutted when it was electrified. The rowels that move the wicks are still in place. A section of the gallery that holds the chimney in place is missing. The chimney still fits tightly. The chimney is not as old as the lamp(few are) and has chips on its bottom and top edges. The shade, no cracks, it has chips on the inner surface of its fitter opening, these may have occurred when the shade was made and the fitter lip was ground, and again, chips on the inner edge of its top opening, these are from use. Such chips are typical on old shades. Dimensions: 24 1/2" tall with the chimney in place. The lamp. To the font collar, 11 1/4" tall. Font, 6" maximum diameter. Foot, 7" diameter. Shade, 4" fitter, 7" maximum diameter. The entire lamp weighs, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. It will be disassembled when packed. This is a good heavy quality Victorian faceted and cut glass/crystal oil lamp font. It measures 6.25"15.8cm in diameter across the top and the glass is 3"7.7cm deep. The font is fitted with a brass undermount with a 21mm screw thread. It also has a bayonet fit oil lamp burner collar that has traces of silver plating to the top surface. No cracks to the glass. The facet edges on the top and sides are crisp. The base surface has some scratches to the facet edges. Other than that the font is in very good overall condition. Victorian Cut-Glass Football Oil Lamp Shade.
This is a cut-glass shade of the highest quality. It has a nice variety of cutting as you can see from the pictures. The trellis cutting is different from the ordinary. In that you have alternate wide and narrow cutting, something that you would not normally see in cutting of this type. There are imperfections her and there in the shade, like air bubbles, which is quite common in vintage glass. One area in particular has a small cluster of tiny bubbles, and it's in this area that you have an inclusion of what appears to be a little bit of grit. All of this occurred during the manufacturing process. The skilled craftsman wouldn't have been too concerned about these inclusions. He had enough to contend with as he set about on his laborious, not to mention painstaking job of hand cutting the glass sphere into a work of art. Many of these ... moretype of shades were smashed because of the thickness of the glass used, and had to be discarded, some probably at a point of near completion. Dimensions: 7 1/2" wide. 6 3/4" in height, 3" top opening and a standard 4" bottom gallery rim. Both rims are fire-polished, a skill in it's own right by all accounts, and a sign of quality. Condition: Excellent condition with inclusions as already mentioned. No cracks or chips. The shade will be double boxed for extra safety. Postage: To the Rep of Irl and N/Irl- 12.50 Euro. Victorian Halloween Cut-Glass Oil Lamp.
I can only describe this lamp as a Halloween lamp. It has to be. With a pumpkin shade that has star cuts around the frosted section of it. The cut-glass font also has similar star cutting. The font and shade is supported by a good sturdy corinthian column base. The lamp stands 29" tall to the top of the chimney. I have had this lamp for more than twenty years, having bought it at a house auction in the west of Ireland. It remains the same way as when I got it, right down to the wicks. When you examine it's composition, it's reasonable to suspect that it's probably a totally original lamp. Have a look at the pictures for yourself. You may notice in the pictures that they show two different burners. I decided to replace the original one as one of the knobs was loose. The replacement one is a much stronger and better burner. ... moreDimensions: 29" tall in total. The brass corinthian column is 12 3/4" tall- 5 1/2" square at the bottom. The font is 6" wide and 5 1/4" in height. 22mm undermount and 1 1/2" screw fit collar. The shade is approx 7" wide at it's widest. It's 7 1/4" in height. Standard 4" gallery rim. Condition: Excellent condition. The shade has a shallow chip from the outside of the gallery rim( see last picture) It has no effect whatsoever and is not easily seen. The font has one or two light scratches. The burner is in great order with all the parts working as they should. The bridge on top of the burner is especially thick and strong(see one of the pictures) The brass base is in very good order. I can only see a very tiny nick on the top section of the plinth and it's shown in one of the pictures. These are issues that you would expect to see on an oil lamp which is well in excess of 100 years old. The entire lamp as you can imagine is quite heavy. An excellent cut glass fount. I have examined it carefully. There are no tiny hairline cracks beneath the collar and only one pinhead size fleabite to the bottom edge of one of the scallops. It is fitted with a standard bayonet type Duplex collar having an internal diameter of 1 1/2 inches. Both of the lugs on the collar are still tight and perfect. Star cut on the base. Will fit a basket with a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. Overall width is just under 6 1/4 inches. Weight 455 grams.

Victorian cut glass large oil lamp reservoir
This is an outstanding large oil lamp cut glass reservoir. It is designed for a banqueting oil lamp. It is beautiful cut glass detail and is in excellent condition. There is a crack from the collar measuring approx 2 inches( Please see photo) However there is no leak. Please see my other quality items.

Antique Hinks & Sons Corinthan Column Oil Lamp W/Cut Glass Bowl Electrified
Being offered is this very nice Hinks& Sons Corinthan Column Oil Lamp with a Cut Glass Bowl.This lamp measures approx. 33" overall. 22" to top of burner. It has a nice cut glass bowl. It is signed Hinks& Sons Patent on the collar of the glass bowl. the burner knob is a new No.1 Duplex with a white porcelain handle front with brass stem. the top burner is still intact completely, only the glass globe is missing.The base a very heavy iron covered by brass. The lamp has been electrified by adding a stem and cap onto the oil lamp base, the cord runs down the lamp and comes out of a drilled hole in the base of lamp. The lights turn on with the sockets of the bulb with a turn switch. Can probably be converted back to original lamp, as only the base has been compromised with the drilled hole. or can be used as a parts lamp. It ... moreis in nice condition, glass globe is good, no chips, cracks, etc. base could use cleaning. The knob that turns the wick does not move as the wick mechanism has been removed. A very nice early lamp for use as is, or collection.

Fount is a heavy facet- cut( or slice-cut) glass with round foot and knopped stem. Fitted with a brass collar for the burner. Base is 3 inches diameter. Lamp stands 4&1/2 inches to the burner-collar and 10 inches to the top of the chimney. Attractive and quite early style. There is No damage, No chips, No cracks and no stains or scratches.
