This still had the Murano label on the glass shaft leaving no doubt who made this one. The design is awesome the brightness against the frosted leafs really stand out. The sockets are on a swivel joint so you can adjust their position. This will look great in an antique or modern home or office. The glass leaves will be taken off and wrapped individually for safe shipping. As you can see it does work fine and the wires are ok however they are the old cloth covered wires and it wouldn't hurt replacing those 2 wires it is very easy to do just 2 simple wires. I took a close up of the original label. This is 26 from the top loop where the chain starts to the bottom. Then about 31.5 wide then the chain is about 30 inches.

I see no dings or dents; there is a few small spots where there is wear to the brass that we did not attempt to clean. The little turn knob for on/off is missing from the base. But could be easily replaced. The chimneys are clear glass and measure 10" tall. The milk glass shades are about 9 3/4" diameter on the bottom and 3 3/4" diameter at the top opening. The shades do not have chips or cracks but do have the usual roughness at the opening edges from use. We are not lamp experts, so please ask any questions you might have before bidding.

Then a brass color holds the front which is white going into pink and then the final collar supports a light blue globe which also includes a chimmey which is 5 inches above the top globe. A nice antique. Circa 1850, identified as by Dietz, solar oil lamp base. The floral pedestal and font are bronze, the spacer between the marble blocks of brass. It has been electrified, with the burner removed, a collar is also soldered on to the font. A hole for the cord to exit is on the top marble block. As presented it measures 17-1/2 tall by 5-1/2" bottom diameter. The original ormolu finish to bronze is worn off.

For your viewing from our Astral lamp collection is this wonderful unusual Astral lamp that has a double step marble base and a round etched glass shade. The shade has minor roughness at the top edge with 1 small edge flea bite chip. We have been collecting Astra/Solar lamps for over 40 years and have been thinning our collection of over 13 of them and this one has the most unusual and ornate columns of any lamp we have ever owned. The top of the column has a large face on each side and appears to be some type of mythical character. It then narrows and widens again a this wider point are 2 smaller faces on each side and there is a pleated style head band just below the face similar to those that the early Romans wore in the 15th or 16th century. Then as it spreads out in a square bottom there are 4 more faces at each point with the same pleated ... morestyle collar only under the neck they way early royalty wore in the 15th and 16th century. The rest of the column is filled in with berries and leaves it is amazing how intricate this was made over 130 years ago. The marble base is in excellent condition no chipping or cracks. It has never been electrified but does not retain the original burner it has been replaced with a later oil burner. The height with the shade is 22" the base alone is 13" it has 12 colonial style prisms that are 6" long including the bobeche top and has a 5 1/2" fitter. The upper marble base is 6" lower base is 4" Sometime in its past it appears a very not in the know person put a candle in the oil reservoir and let it melt on the the body and it appears to be burnt wax I did not try to remove it I think with heat in that area it should be easily removed when the shade is on it is not at all noticeable and does not distract from it beauty. One lamp( The New Juno) is in working condition(see 2nd picture which shows it lit up) The other( Meteor) has a line cord which appears quite old. And has numerous cracks and splits in its insulation. Its cord should be replaced, and we did not attempt to plug it in. Both Lamps are constructed of brass and are ornately decorated. Neither has a globe. Shade, or chimney. The New Juno measures 14-3/4 inches high and has a base about 9 inches in diameter. It weighs 3 pounds 14 ounces. It has an in-line power switch. Although the switch turns and clicks properly, we did not test this lamp due to the poor condition of the cord. Metal surfaces have a darker patina than the first lamp, but are free of any damage. We found this beautiful old lamp at an estate sale. The base has been electrified and is in working condition. The B& H mark is on the cap of the oil tank. The base stands 13 ¼” high to the top of the socket. I really don’t know anything about lamps of this type but here is what I can tell you: The bottom base of the lamp is not brass. The rest of the metal. Including the handles appears to be brass(a magnet does not stick to it) There are some finish issues to the metal. The reddish brown part of the base is a little‘dull’ looking but other than that, it is in very good vintage condition. Antique Whale Oil Lamps Amber Etched Glass w Marble & Brass Base Electrified
This is a beautiful early antique whale oil lamp that has been converted to electric. The color of the glass is a rich warm amber and the simple etched design catches the light. The lamp measures 17.5" tall from top of light socket to base. Which is 5" x 5" x 2 1/4" The bulbous part of the amber glass is 5.5" wide. The condition of the lamp is very good with just a tiny chip on the upper part of the marble base on one corner, as pictures show. It works, and just needs a harp and shade.
