Monumental Victorian Nouveau Bronze Patinated Spelter Figural Lady Newel Lamp
Offered for your consideration is a very large newel lamp of the finest quality formed by a neoclassical art nouveau lady lifting a vessel atop her head. From which 5 vines emerge with lighted flowers at their tips. She stands on a black wooden plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter, due to the weight, but perhaps it's bronze. The lamp is monumental in size, about 50 1/2" high by 16" wide. The piece is in remarkably good condition. It looks like portions of some leaves may be missing on the vines and around the sockets at the top. The only other possible flaw I see is a line across the base of the woman's toes on her left proper foot where they join her draped robe/gown. It may have been there from the time of casting. As it shows evidence of age. The wooden base shows a line from shrinkage over time, but is still ... morecompletely stable. The patination is lovely, with only minimal signs of wear, likely the result of a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. The wiring was recently professionally updated/replaced with fine silk cord and a new plug. I do not believe that the lamp originally had coordinating shades. Per se; I suspect that regular light bulbs were used. As its purpose was to provide useful illumination. Measures overall about 21 1/2" tall to the top of the chimney, the base alone is 10 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" square; the boy alone is 4 1/2" tall. Fabulous Antique Figural Birds Lamp Base For Slag Leaded Glass Shades Bronze Ish
Up for sale is this fabulous antique lamp base. Featuring a pair of long necked birds(I believe cranes? on either side. Wonderful detail work, the lamp has a bronze finish, I don't think it is solid bronze, but it is quite heavy and does not attract a magnet. I believe the top hardware is replaced, but both pulls are working smoothly. You will need hardware to attach a shade. There are no cracks, or breaks. You can see the mold line running through the feathers toward the bottom, and there is some finish wear, including a spot that looks like a paint drip. This a fabulous and extremely rare form, unfortunately it is not signed to identify a maker, but it was definitely done in the era of Tiffany, Handel, Pittsburgh and the other fine makers of that time. This lamp is beautiful for any cat lover or Art Deco collector! Pictures speak for themselves. And the lamp is stamped. Has all lamp shade screws and cats head is held on by 2 screws- All look to be original. Lamp shade is in near perfect condition, with one tiny chip you can't even see until you take the lamp off and look under(see 2nd to last picture) No chips even where the lamp shade screws go in. Lamp is wired but I don't think it's the original wiring. But it works great! Bronze could use a cleaning, it has some small white spots on it that seem to come off with your fingernail, and typical bronze wear, but given it's unknown age and that I am not an bronze expert, I figured leave the decision of cleaning it or not up to the buyer. Which will grace any living room beautifully. We believe it is from the 1900's or 20's. L&F Moreau were two brothers who were part of the Moreau dynasty of sculptors from Dijon France. L&F Moreau were perhaps best known for creating highly ornate clocks and garniture sets in both bronze and spelter. The L stands for Louis Auguste(1855-1919) known for bronzes and metal sculptures. French Figural Tole Peinte Bronze Bouillotte Lamp Serpents Dolphins Caldwell era
Up for consideration is a vintage Peinte Tole and Bronze figural French Empire style Bouillette Lamp. The lamp is unmarked but dates from about 1910 or so. It stands 26.5 inches tall by about 13.5 inches at its widest point. The piece sports finely cast figural Dolphins as arms with tripodal footed hairy pawed feet. The finial is a round finely cast circular floral wreath. The spreader or shade holder supports are also figual serpent or snake heads. Usually things that are not marked tend to be pre 1891. It possible this lamp dates late 1880's if it was made in France. Hence no"Made in France" as customary with these style of lamps. Vintage"GREEK GODDESS" Lamp Parts Photo gallery. Click to enlarge. There are enough parts here to make four matching lamps. The main posts(with the goddesses on them) measure 11" tall. The threaded rods are 16" long. And are threaded on both ends. Each rod has a brass cap on one end. The goddess posts are open on the bottom, and the medium sized flared pieces are open on the bottoms as well. I am not sure how these parts are supposed to attach together, or if everything is complete. This lot is simply being sold as a parts lot for you to make a REALLY dashing set of Grecian lamps. One finial pair was painted a terracotta color. As shown in the photos. All other items seem to have their original gold/brass/bronze finish. Antique H. J. Peters Bronze Figural Lamp
This is a fine lamp by the HJ peters company Chicago Illinois from the 1914 catalog. The base is very heavy and looks to be bronze probably over some type of metal. The shade is original and in very nice condition the edges of the shade where it sits on the lamp have tiny little chips missing probably from taking the shade on and off of the lamp. Good light itself works good with the chain pool. Please look at pictures and ask questions no returns.

We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique early 20th Century French Gilt Bronze Spelter Figural Lamp with Jeweled Shade. This lamp is in Excellent Original Working Condition. We guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The lamp measures 27 1/2" tall x 11 1/2" wide at the base. The shade alone is 9 1/2" high and the lamp and shade together weigh approximately 16lb 8oz. The lamp features 3 lovely maidens each with an outstretched hand holding what looks like a small aladdin lamp along with a wonder 3 foot clawed base. The maidens appear to be Greek, the have leaves in their hair and lovely flowing dresses with bare feet. The shade has great original glass green and amber jewels throughout with most of the green jewels having 2 small holes in each. We think this is for dispersing heat ... morefrom the bulb. The lamp takes a large bulb, the socket is porcelain. Great gold gilding to the lamp and shade. Neither the base nor the shade holds a magnet. The 3 maidens are all one piece that does move. We believe this is a French lamp dating from the early 20th century. A great art nouveau figural parlor lamp, it would make a great addition to anyone's collection and or household.
