Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. The chrome has no rust and very nice luster. A classic lamp. Thanks for looking.

It has 1 primary point of articulation at the shade assembly which can rotate from side to side or up and down. CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in exceptional condition. There are light signs of normal use with no dings. Dents or scratches. The lamp parts are all thick solid Bronze(the curved arm could be Brass) which shows faint surface wear and tarnish from handling. The lamp retains an original push switch fixed to the base assembly which is electrically sound and functions safely. Description" Up-cycled from the best and most unique materials I could find. This one and only lamp is one of my favorites and came together as if it were asking to be this way. As often the case, I managed to offset the industrial appeal with a touch of elegance that flows together as if manufactured that way to begin with. The base is solid cast iron with original black enamel paint and a pin stripe like design painted in gold. The shade is solid brass along with the attached fittings being grade A solid thick wall brass. The socket is early higher end made by Meteor and has a porcelain inner body. The cord is updated industrial grade and it detaches at the lamp with an early Hubble twist plug. The wall plug is an industrial grade machine age fused plug with two buss style fuses for negative and positive. It's more than UL compliant ... moreand will handle the load without a problem. If a steam locomotive had a study, this would have offset it quite nicely indeed, I think. It is 17 inches long by 12 inches high and is heavy. Vintage Antique Brass Industrial Desk Lamp Machine Age Table Student Light
For your consideration is an antique adjustable brass desk lamp. The antique lamp has a a heavy weighted base. 6 1/2" in diameter. The lamp stands 23 3/4" tall at the lowest setting and adjust to 33 1/4" at the highest. The spun brass shade is 5 1/2" in diameter and has flat black painted finish. The"PAISTE" socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb not included) The wiring is new cloth covered 18 gauge wire with an old fashioned two prong plug. The lamp has had the lacquer finish removed and will get a nice warm patina over time. The lamp has some small dings and imperfections but nothing that isn't typical for its age or use. This is a really neat light. It was originally a portable tanning lamp made in the 50's and 60's by Sperti. But it has been retrofit with a vintage light socket and 25 watt amber bulb so it can be enjoyed as a table lamp. It has the original braided cord with hooks to roll it up and folds in half for easy storage, which also makes it easily portable. It utilizes one of the original toggle switches as the on/off switch and the other is just for character. It makes the perfect night stand or desk lamp because it has the bottom tray for housing your spare change.
